changing alarm and open/close tones

is it possible to change the default clock alarm tones and change the open/close tones. if so where do you put the mp3.
Yes, it is.
Try WAV files.
Change alarm tone to telephone ringer tone
On my old WM5 PPC phone I could set the alarm to be any of the telepone ringer tones (made for a great loud and sometimes annoying alarm clock).
There are a couple specific tones that I would like to use.
They are located in the \Windows\Rings and \Windows directories as .wav files.
However there must be another list or folder that I am unaware of that contains the displayed clock alarm tones.
Does anyone know where to find this list or folder?
Thanks!

alarm sound on vibrate/silent?

in some ROM's there is an option under "more" in clock & alarms that allows you to enable the alarm sounding when on silent or vibrate. does anyone know of a CAB that you can install that will add this feature without downloading the whole ROM'?
I also want this
Has anyone found a way to do this? I really would like a cab that would add this tab to allow my alarm to come on on vibrate.

Change alarm tone

is it possible to change your alarm tone?
when you set the alarm there should be a ringtone option where you can choose the alarm tone. Or there's 3rd party software like G-alarm which allows you to choose music files for the alarm and gives you more control over the operation of it all.

much better than the stock or any other alarm app
I don't know how it's called in english. German it's called intelligent alarm.
That one, that starts with low volume before the main alarm, to wake you gently.
Thanks for your answers.

[Q] Alarm clock ringtones

Is it possible to add more ringtones to the stock alarm clock?
Original Moto X on AT&T running stock 4.4.4 firmware:
I've started using my phone as my alarm clock and I'd like a bigger selection of ringtones. I've placed a bunch of .ogg files in both the /Ringtones and the /Notifications folders. They can be selected when choosing the phone ringtone, but I still only have a half dozen stock sounds in the Alarm Clock selection.
Using a third party alarm clock, I can select all the ring tones I put on.
I know I can just use the third party app, but I'd rather stick with the stock app since it works well with daydream.

Yup, it's possible. Download ES explorer or an equivalent file manager.
Now , when you try and set the ring tone for your alarm clock, it will prompt you to choose which application you want to "Complete action with"
Using media storage will let you set the stock ringtones. Using your file manager, you can navigate to the song of your choice and set it .
If the prompt for "complete action with" does not show up, in the "all" section of your applications list , clear the defaults in the "media storage" application.
