I wonder if anyone else has this problem I'm having.
I had no problem tethering to my cell phone before I did the gingerbread update few days ago. I had to do the update manually with ODIN as I couldn't got the OTA update to work for some reason.
Now, the tab won't recognize my cell's ad hoc anymore. I tried to the same wpa_supplicant replacement that worked perfectly in foryo before, but it doesn't work now.
Anyone knows what seems to be the problem and how can I solve it?
all right, I just solve my own problem.
I just got a new wpa_supplicant file from here. It works.

I don't have this problem. Been running official honeycomb since yesterday and at two different location/router with out any problem. You might have a hardware/driver problem.

You should call Dell support. I am suspecting you have a driver problem.
Try rebooting the streak. I didn't have this issue either when I upgraded. I didn't even have to reestablish connection either, it maintained what was already on the tablet. It only removed the apps off but everything else remained including my music.
Dear all...
Maybe there are similar threads to this one but unfortunately I've checked it all and didn't manage to find a solution for:
Q: After upgrading my Galaxy Tab Froyo 2.2 to Gingerbread 2.3.3 Stock ROM using Odin, The WIFI connection is disconnecting every 5 minutes and connect itself again.
5 Minutes ago, I tried something we do with our PCs in work...
I tried to:
A: Use a static IP instead of Dynamic and the issue is temporarily solved till we find a final fix.. I know how hard is it, to work with android phone without WIFI...
Try it and give me your feedback
Thanks,
hello everyone, I just registered here for a couple issues with my girlfriend's i9001, it basically can't find Wifi connections, once you click the button to activate the wifi, it shows a green check for few mins while looking for connections and suddenly it deactivates by itself...
I read around about a file to remove via terminal emulator, the bcm_supp.conf one, but I can't find that file...
does anyone have any idea/solution for it? currently she uses internet via 3g (monthly charges) but it would be cool to be able to use the home wifi...
about bluetooth instead, it just can't find other bluetooth devices and vice versa, my nokia 5800 can't find it even if the "visible" option is activated.
ideas?
I'm going crazy about it, I already tried several hard resets and flashed the phone first with 2.3.5 and then with 2.3.6 firmwares... nothing fixed the issues...
thanks in advance for any response
ps: sorry for my english, I'm italian >_<
i had exactly the same wifi issue but flashing a new rom solved the problem. reset and reflashing the same rom didn't help. you tried several 2.3.6 versions?
you might try flashing another modem.

noone knows?
Hi All,
My problem is, once updating from 3.2 to 4.0.4, my wireless keeps dropping every minute or so. Incredibly frustrating as it will refresh almost any app that's currently open (even offline apps like my epub reader).
I've found this doesn't seem to be isolated to the 8.9 tablet ICS ROM, nor even Samsung's updates. However every solution I've found and tried doesn't seem to work. The main culprit seems to be the wpa_supplicant file (in /system/bin). I've tried the following:
Updating (reverting) the wpa_supplicant file to the 3.2 version as it was last known working copy
Updating the wpa_supplicant file with an S3 version that claims to cure the fix (yes I know this was in desperation)
Updating the wpa_supplicant.conf file to remove the
The problem with all of these is that I know they aren't aren't very likely to work (and didn't). All files were either flashed with CWM or moved into the kernal with Root Explorer + superuser.
My tab is an Australia Telstra GT-P7320T.
Currently I'm running Arclic's ICS ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1923371&highlight=7320) , but have also tried the stock ICS ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901664) and that had the same issue.
Never been a poster on the forums but used lots and always found an answer - unfortunately I haven't this time.
Surely others that have applied these ROM's have had the same issues. Has anyone been able to solve them? Any help much appreciated.
Have you tried flashing back to the original gb rom? If you still have issues there, it may be hardware related.
Yeah, I've tried going back to the original Telstra Australia honeycomb ROM and wifi works fine. Definitely firmware related.
Since last update to the latest MIUI, I am having problems connecting to the rooter.
Is anyone having the same problems?
Thnks.
