Hi, my friend has got a DHD and he asked me if I know how to change the way you answer a call, particularly to change the direction of the slider from vertical to horizontal. Is the only way to do that to get the stock conntacts app? By the way he is a stock rom, probably Froyo
Any help is appreciated

Bump. I would love to know this too.
Someone suggested going into GPS Status and calibrating pitch & roll as a way to do this. Tried it , doesn't seem to completely do the trick, but helps a little....

How can i make to turn off the ascending ring when someone calls me because is very annoing

As I know, you may need a modified phone.apk to replace the original.
If i tack phone.apk from miui for example you think it will work?
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App
No. That's a totally different ROM. Do you put PS3 genres in your XBOX 360 too? Its similar to that statement. Find a phone.apk from an actual Stock ROM that doesn't have it.

Then you can tell me a stock rom without this stupid phone.apk with ascending ringtone? because i think all stock roms have this stupid option. I don't have right now a stock rom installed i have this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264721

Is there any way to increase the in call volume on the Bionic using the default rom rooted? I love the phone but have been having trouble hearing people on the thing... Which is a problem since, at the core, it is a phone after all...

Hmm. You have used this one with the stock rom and it worked? I tried it but it did not seem to have any affect. Maybe I did not change the right setting. I'll give it another go. Thanks!
Np I have a custom rom. There are also other ones you can try too

I've just gotten off the phone with a second-level tech at Verizon who said that variable call volume will be addressed in the next Bionic software update. He also said that it's currently in beta, and will drop Mid-November.
That's really great news. Hopefully it fully fixes the problem.
So hopefully I don't get smacked down for this.
Here is my problem, recently got a new g2x having owned many other android devices that I rooted and then broke the guerrilla glass dual core nvidia sounded pretty slick. How ever there is no vibrate for SMS or led for anything. (My g2x came with gingerbread) but it really bugged me so I rooted with NV flash after discovering more practical methodes don't work with the Ginger rom... STILL NO VIBRATE OR LED lol and this is in the newest cm7 does anyone have any fix or anything?

When did the problem begin, during the time you bought it or did it just happen suddenly?
It came like that. :/ I think it has something to do with its stock rom which doesn't make since b/c its gone. But it has full haptic feedback but no vibrate notification for SMS, on any messaging app. Same for the led. Right now its running cm 7.1.0 which is I think android 2.3.7

If it did come like that, it just may be a hardware problem, since the problem is existent throughout different ROMs. You should go to the store and get a new phone before the warranty expires. But remember to revert to original ROM with no root or else they won't accept it.
But the vibrate works. For everything except SMS and mms it vibrates for haptic and calls and alarm etc. Just SMS...

Do you still think it could be some sort of deep hardware issue?

hi, maybe you dont have vibrating for sms and mms activated, you can check it in messaging -> settings -> vibrate
Hello,
Is there a way to use the camera flash as a notification light as the ace lacks a notification light. If not would it be possible to program to make it happen? Im a noob
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
Well.. no! But it would not be nice to have the flash as notification light as it is too bright and will waste a hell lot of battery. You can use softkey backlight as norification using BLN from play store and it needs custom kernel which supports bln.
And do you even know the meaning of noob? You should call yourself a newbie!

Noob or n00b = someone who is not aware that he doesn't know he knows nothing and is not willing to learn.
While newbie is kinda the same thing but still in better conditions.
Newbie= someone who is aware that he doesn't know he knows nothing but is willing to learn.
If your wondering which one of those I am.
Neither actually I'm something much much worse. More like a disaster or a catastrophe.
