Ok, here are some finished working files.

Transformers movie: inspiration
Again, I am self teaching myself after effects, this started as a project to see how well AE would work for making boot animations. Unfortunately my idea was beyond my current abilities, so the animation itself is a template, the rest is mine.
Flash in recovery, seems I had to wipe cache first, not sure if needed, but had problems when I didnt.

OK, here are some first versions of the working files. I have 2 versions, one with sound and one without.
So far these are GB only, only due to where the update script places the files. I will create a Froyo one later.
These are on my dropbox, anyone who wants to mirror, feel free.

Right before we start its important to note that NONE of this work is my own, lycoln did all the hard work over at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=564163
All I've done is ported it to run on MoDaCo 2.5 for the Hero

I will be converting some more theme's and uploading a "paint by numbers" project I'm hoping to launch this weekend so most artist's will be able to theme without the worry of signing files ect.
In the mean time enjoy!

that's awesome. thanks.
Very good, thanx for ur work. Interested to see what's next.
I still preference the clear lockscreen over the arc, but installing the clear zip after this seems to have worked and only changed the lockscreen.
looks nice. thx.
I threw these together using Boot Animation Preview. They are originally from the Shutdown sequence of the Samsung Galaxy S (My Vibrant). No one has figured out how to make or extract the QMG files yet, but I figured I'd do this for now.

If the format of the QMGs are figured out, I will try to add support to BAP too for them and maybe even a "convert" function enjoy!
Since the links keep changing on skydrive, they are available here.
Links are fixed, not sure what happen to them. sorry about that.
Good, man, good.....
Links still don't work
I've download this zip file, but why my screen turn to black when it should broadcast the boot animation?

Nice! this one is going to my collection, keep up the good work bro.
This is pretty awesome. I like it
Thanks guys.
I'm going to redo it. After watching it more and more, I feel like the part marking out brilliant is too slow.
Added inverted version.
Brilliant boot animation. Just wish that the HTC on the dark version looked a little smoother.
Dark Version will not load. Says Install Aborted.
I've seen some requests for a HAL 9000 boot animation around XDA, so I thought I would share mine. This is what I use on my phone and I am sharing it, but I don't have a ton of time to fulfill a lot of requests. I may be able to whip up one for you with a different sound if you want to send me the mp3. Just PM me. The sound that's on here right now is "I am completely operational and all my circuits are functioning perfectly."
This is a signed zip file, so you should be able to just flash it if you're on a Sense ROM. ***I don't take donations, but click the thanks button if you like it.

I still have a Nexus One, and yes, I still love it. I love it so much, I made a boot animation specifically for it.
The animation was inspired by the Nexus One commercial created by Google (love the music). It also took me half a day just to get it to work, but anyway here it is. This is the first time I’ve ever done a boot animation, so comment and give feedback so I can improve on it! Please do not distribute this boot animation.
