Has anyone managed to create a theme with all black background with white text?

I'm looking for a messaging app that is very dark, white test on black background, with the important part being a dark colored keyboard. While handcent can be used to make the dark background, it can't do anything about the keyboard, still using the very bright white/grey default.
The reason for this is wanting to send texts in low light settings without extreme eyestrain or distracting others (i.e. a quick message while in a movie)
Anyone know of anything?
Like you said handcent can be made to have a dark look, as far as keyboard you will have to look in the market for a keyboard of your liking. Better yet search for the HTC_IME thread and you'll find that there is an online kitchen to create custom keyboard skins.
This might be more than what you want to do, but if you were flash the cyanogenmod6 the default keyboard is a combination of black and dark gray with white text. Its very nice looking

Switch to the gingerbread keyboard
Download GoSMS, use the dark theme with the notification bubbles, and download the Gingerbread keyboard for Smart Keyboard Pro.
Is there a way to get rid of the blue/black colour scheme on the Omnia 2. I find it hard to read dark blue text on a black background, This happens using mail and a few other 3rd party apps.

There is way to change android menus from black background to white background? (invert the colors)
Some theme? maybe one designed for CM7 ?
Is there a CM9 white theme in progress anywhere? Or can someone direct me to theme this? I just want to change much of the dark gradient to white and change the text colour.
