Fist of all, hello!
Every developer who needs a free mirror, please let me know!
I'm offering 1GB of space for software, apps and anything else. If everything goes well and more people ask me for a mirror, that space will go bigger, but with some limit.
My hosting account has servers with 99,9 % uptime !
I'm a member of xda-developers since April 2011. I own a photography website and I would like to offer some free space on my hosting account for everyone that needs a mirror (direct linking without ads, limited timing or something like that!). I currently live in Bucharest, Romania (Europe). For those who want to know the location of the server and speed:

[Announcement] Changes to the paid theme policy (25-JULY-2015)

Guidelines Regarding Paid Theme Links
​We are a development site foremost. Therefore, advertising without sharing is not allowed. The ethos are, that you share your work for free and, if you wish, you can have a link to the equivalent paid version. This way people can support your work.
If you want to post links to paid themes then you must ensure you meet the following requirements:
The free version must be the only theme featured in the thread and any screenshots must be of the free theme. Links to paid themes must be discreetly posted at the end of the post.
The free version must not be a demo, trial or crippled version. It must be equivalent to the paid version, meaning it can be a different color or have slightly less themed icons, but not a significant amount. Equivalent meaning of equal value.
The free version can be an attachment, Play link or download link, but if it's a link then it must comply with the forum rules (no off-site registration and no pay-per-click links). Any links that do not comply will be removed without warning, along with the paid link.
The paid link must be in the thread, not your signature. You can post links in your signature, but they must link to the thread that has the free link. Again, these will be removed without notice if they do not comply.
If you have many variations of the paid version you can only link one and state "Other variations available on my Google Play page".
If anyone has any questions about the above then feel free to ask any of the moderators for this forum, the list of which can be found above the threads in the forum itself.

Sexual/NSFW-themed Advertisements on XDA-Developers' Front Pages

Has anyone seen front-pages consisting of sexually themed advertisements like this today (2016-09-26)?:

It's safe to say that people aren't pleased with said advertisements. Yes, we understand why you need advertisements, but frankly, to put up NSFW advertisements on a site that MAY be used by those who aren't comfortable to seeing such content, like OAPs and children.
After all, this is supposed to be a smartphone-modding/developing site, with today's (2012-2016 - at the time of writing) main course being custom Android OSes, usually provided in the form of flashable ZIP packages, and NOT a porn site.

And this is why we have a thread dedicated for this purpose: Intrusive Ads? Post here!
Our rules forbid NSFW things like this being posted or discussed, so I'm not sure why anyone would think these ads were deliberately being shown?
The owners don't sit and approve every single ad that appears on the site, that just wouldn't be possible.
We are aware that some of these inappropriate ads are slipping through the net, and are working with the media agency to put a stop to them as soon as possible.

Hello everyone,
I don't spend a lot of time lurking around the OT section of XDA but in the time I have spent here, I've noticed that the discussions are often times HUGE and fast paced.
This is fine, but a forum atmosphere isn't always the absolute best way to facilitate these interactions.

If you're a gamer you may have heard of Discord. It's a VoIP/Chat client initially targeted at gamers only but has branched out into a major communications platform. It can operate at an immense scale which makes it perfect for something like this. Also, in case you were wondering... it's free, it always will be, and there's no ads.

I highly encourage you to check it out. Start a conversation. Treat it as an extension of the Off topic section of XDA, only more direct and conversational.
I'll do what I can to respond to ideas/suggestions to improve the server. I have moderator roles available if anyone is a known responsible member and is interested.
