Hello.I am a user of Xperia x8 since 2 months ago and i am very happy to have that "low budget" smartphone . The only dissapointing is the one touch screen it has but XDA developers done their job very well , they found how to have fake dualtouch with that phone if you have synaptics (see pinch to zoom) and real dual touch for cypress.Searching the internet i found some 2nd hand cheap LCD and digitizer parts for x8 and i thought that i can change mine with these and if i am lucky i can have a cypress digitizer to my phone but i am really confused and i want help.
My questions are :
Which part i must buy to make my digitizer from synaptics to cypress , the LCD , the digitizer or both of them?
Will they be compatible with my xperia or they need more hardware to made them work?
At the photo bellow which one of these 2 has the cypress feature ? the LCD on the left or the digitizer on the right side??

True, but Sony changed whole display not just digitizer
Dare do i need both of them ? and if i , i think they must be the latest releases from SE..
Oh come on. I don't really like this kind of answer but if you want real MT just buy another phone! It's a lot more easy than buying screens and digitizers, then trying to mount them on your phone without even knowing if it will work!

i agree with that lets see how se will price the new xperia minis , if reasonably priced then i guess moving to one of the new minis will not be bad.....

So I fixed the lcd and everything was good untill today....
I droped the phone from about 2 feet and the screen isnt cracked but everything is very bright now. I took 2 pictures below but its hard to see becuase well its hard to see on the phone. everything still works. I can still make calls and use it but its just very bright almost no color.
Does anyone know if it can be something loose? do i just need a digitizer? or do I have to go and buy the whole lcd/ digitizer combo again?

Im runing a att tilt with the jan 3 hyper dragon rom.
It looks like the connection isnt seated properly. You may want to take it back apart and make sure its tightly seated. Dropping it may have jarred the connection loose.
This phone is a new htc i got never been opened... but i just opened it right now and disconnected everything and re connected, and it still like that...
anyone else have any other ideas or advice,

Your not alone... there are other threads with pictures just like this one.
Some seem to be a hardware defect, so if its brand new, that's probably the case.
its actually about 2 years old.
it was used for about 4 months, then put away for a year. then i just started to use it again in December 08
then just today =[
so i dont mind i guess i can buy a new lcd screen and change it, ill keep searching around here

I was referring to the LCD Ribbon that connects the LCD TO THE MOTHERBOARD. Try simply taking it apart and checking that ribbon before you go order a new lcd ........

basicly what you see there is whats underneath the 5 buttons on the bottom on the HD2. Atached to that should be whats underneath the rest of the HD2 (a large curcit board so to speak) FUBAR in my opinion.

I have suffered same thing before. I had to buy hd2 for parts just to replace!
It's very easy to try and remove mainboard without lifting latch for terminal. I had already taken mine apart three times before I forgot about it on fourth try and I heard a "pop"...I **** my pants, cried and got to looking to buy one for replacement parts.
I am currently looking to buy hd2's so let me know if you want to part with it.

Hello forum
I am a Google Nexus 7 user, who accidently dropped the gadget and now the screen is broken. I can see the function inside working all well, no discolouration or tilt or anything else, but the touch is not working anymore. Anyone can suggest a fix ? Because I got it imported in India, so the warranty probably is not applicable in India, besides I don't think hardware damage is covered under warranty.
Any help would be appreciated.
I already miss this amazing device, an ebook reader, a gaming console, a perfect friend.

I do have a screen guard and a small cover for the tablet. But obviously when it fell, nothing could save it from cracking
Hi folks ...My Xperia z is about 2 years old I don't want to replace it because he is working like a piece of cake and he will also get the lollipop update (Sony confirms that) but I noticed that my phone have got black dots on the lock screen / volume buttons I had to say they are ugly like hell ??

yup...if you got extra $$$...but i think it not nacessary to replace...it make your phone look more "experience"

I cant say much about it...i has change my screen due to one white dead pixel...and they said...it's still water-proof but not too "water-proof" as 1st as we bought it...
Hi everyone! I broken the screen of my P9 Plus, and there isn't official support for that phone in my country, so I had to buy a new screen+touch module and install it by myself. The installation was ok, but now the screen precision is terrible. Also I lost the 3d touch function and the possibility of screen capture with double knock.
So that repairship was very sad
Is possible that the screen module was SO fake? or did i omit any procedure? I don't know, may be like as a hard reset, or a recalibration... I didn't found nothing about that on the internet. Anyone with same experience?

I want to tell you that I returned the failed screen module. I will N E V E R buy here in Argentina again.
I bought a new screen module on eBay, from China, and now the screen precision is ok. The screen works mostly well, BUT... Im still without knuckle gestures and Force Touch functions...
So, I still with this issue... partly.
Besides, I get a little flashing or blinking (or flickering, sorry for my bad english, how should I call this? the screen turns off for 1 second and then returns to normal) every so often... I mean, every 2 or 3 minutes approximately. Maybe more.
Is there anything I can do? Any similar experience?
Help please, I read a lot on the internet and I did not find comments regarding experiences in screen changes on P9 Plus.

The problem is that there are no professionals working with this model here. That is why I have changed screen by miself. I hadnt another choice...

I was watching carefully the screen that I have ordered, and I noted that it has a little window in lower left side... But there is nothing inside...

Please... I need to know if I'm right when I say this could be related with Force Touch and knock-knock special functions...
