Alien ROM provides a concocted stew of Blur, Gingerbread, and Green for your Atrix 4G. Motorola's Blur functionality stays intact, but the Alien theme brings a hint of envious green to the party. Don't worry! This ROM's available with the stock Motorola theme if you're not interested in a drastic change.

It's not working when I install! I'm receiving force closes, sitting at bootloops, etc.
Make sure you're installing the ROM correctly. Remember that kernels, MODs, radios, and carriers can mess with your phone. Over 10,000 people have tried Alien. Very few have complained about these issues. That means if your phone is completely bonkers... it's probably just your phone. Try this installation method.
I'm not on AT&T and this ROM is completely broken!
This ROM is not yet designed for international compatibility. Please wait for future updates or attempt an install with a proper international kernel.
Where is _________ feature? I'm on the stock theme!
Some features are only available for those on the Alien theme.
Why is my device running/booting slowly?
Your first boot will take an unimaginably long time. After that, your device will continue to run slowly until the application cache is built up. Don't worry, the speed will increase as you use the ROM!
The new Android Market doesn't work for me. Can I get the old one?
Yes! Check the attachments on this thread. Download and install "androidmarket.zip."
How can I block advertisements in applications and browser windows?
Download and install "advertisementblock.zip" at the bottom of this thread.
Where's my bloatware?
Alien deletes unnecessary bloatware that can be replaced by better applications in the Android Market. If you'd like the bloatware back, you can download the "bloatware.zip" from the download website.
Why is my battery life bad?
Your battery life is often killed when flashing ROMs in CWM. For the best battery life, you must drain your device’s battery until it turns off. Plug the device into the AC adapter and let it charge till the image says 100% charged. Then turn it on and use the volume buttons to boot into CWM. Click Wipe Battery Stats under the advanced menu. Then you should charge to 100% and install the ROM. Battery life should be comparable to (if not better than) every other ROM.
Where's my bloatware?
Alien deletes unnecessary bloatware that can be replaced by better applications in the Android Market. If you'd like the bloatware back, you can download the "bloatware.zip" from the download website.
Why is my data not working?
Networking problems are most often caused by: improper radios, improper kernels (WiFi), the new Android Market, syncing, or international issues. Try flashing the old Android Market below and the 4.5.91 radio from here.
Help! My dock isn't working because of the volume MOD?
No worries! You can get rid of the volume MOD using the attachment "novolumemod.zip" below.
Why isn't my Webtop working?
This ROM doesn't modify the Webtop's partition. You'll need to install the Webtop from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169457
This ROM already has HDMI-to-Webtop MOD from "_unknown" installed.

WOW! OMG Now I can't decide on whether to run Alien or CherryBlur
Is this one built off 4.5.2A or 4.5.91?
and
Is this using stock or overclock'd kernels?
Thanks in advance and,
Keep up the good work ;D

This ROM is based on AT&T or FR?

Your cat looks amazed!

Where is download link
Thanks God I can finally now get all bloatware in separate ZIP so I can install it back on my phone. Bloat for the win!

Based on AT&T 4.5.91 with some modifications from ORFR.
Please be patient for downloads guys! Thanks for waiting!

Yes I've included jug6ernaut's fix. As always, you should run down your battery, then wipe battery stats before installation.

Downloading and testing!
I'm an international user and I'm wondering if I need to flash specific boot.img or it already contains some script to automatically enable full RAM recognized.
PS: Kenn, I think this bootanimation will fit this ROM like a glove

Are you going to upload a no wipe version as well... there should be no need to wipe.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk

Nice one Kenneth!
Gonna have to try this! Did you include the full APN list or stock?

Kenn you came out of no where and Shocked me this rom looks amazing i have not installed it but WOW man it looks great im glad your back with a new rom!!!! keep them coming

You say here to run down your battery then wipe battery stats before installation but on the brief mobile page you say to charge to 100% before installation. Which do you mean?
Sent using my Ninja Atrix 4G.

I just pee'd me self lol. I thought my flashing days were over, but this, I gotta flash!

Now I am in a dilemma..thought of trying out cherryblur this weekend..and now kenneth has created more confusion...anyway thanks buddy..

Both. run down battery, wipe stats, charge to 100%, then flash.
That's just standard good practice for ROM flashing... not totally necessary.

I had some performance issues with the stock rom, so I was trying to pick between Ninja and CherryBlur to flash tonight...
... but your rom looks absolutely gorgeous, downloading now

Just an FYI --- this build is a FIRST BUILD. It will most likely have some major problems. I will fix them ASAP tomorrow.
Wait for Build #2 if you don't want to be a guinea pig. I guarantee there will be MAJOR problems with this first one.

Q: Do I need to disable Voodoo?
A: No
Q: How's the battery life?
A: It's great! But it will be different based on your phone usage, kernel, modem, signal strength, apps you use, sync status. It's incredibly hard to tell you the exact amount of hours you'll have
YOU NEED TO USE THE APPLICATION INCLUDED WITH TRIGGER TO CALIBRATE YOUR BATTERY TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT.
Q: What kernels can I use with this ROM
A: Any Froyo kernel (most of them now). Voodoo kernels, OverStock, Tiger's Blood, and Dead Horse should work fine
Q: Will Trigger 2.9 themes work?
A: They should work fine, but they are based on KB1 framework, this is KB5. If you experience any funky business, please try and replicate it on a fresh flash of Trigger
Q: Can I flash NON Trigger themes on this?
A: Sure! But expect problems. Trigger framework is different from other ROMs and you may run into issues/slowdowns using themes not made for Trigger.
Q: Does Wifi Calling work on this?
A: Absolutely, check the attached zip file in the OP.
Q: Can I flash when I'm not at 100% battery?
A: Technically, you can. But be prepared for funny battery life until you calibrate.
Q: My icon now shows "H" and "3G," what the hell?
A: I've applied a mod to show when your phone is in HSDPA vs UMTS (3G). When you're on H, this means is that you have the capability to get higher speeds. It doesn't mean you will, just means you can (there area slew of other factors, signal, signal strength, T-Mo network, etc).
Q: Help! The accurate battery mod is stuck while I'm flashing it!
A: Reread the OP and you'll notice that it's a Metamorph mod, not a CWM flashable zip
Q: My stock sounds are gone!
A: Flash this through CWM
Q: My GPS sucks! What do I do!
A: Try and flash the S.gps.zip attached to the above post. If that doesn't fix it, it could be a hardware issue at that point.
Q: I'm having MMS issues!
A: Read this post
Q: My phone is acting funny and things seem to not be working, what do I do?
A: Clear market data for market issues. Clear cache & dalvik cache in recovery for other issues.
Q: I'm flashing a mod and it just gets stuck at installing, what do I do?
A: It's not a flashable, it's a Metamorph mod. Turn USB debugging on, install it, and apply through it If it doesn't work the first time, try again.
Q: Why is my calendar missing tabs on the days I have activities?
A: That is just how the included calendar is made, it is not a bug. Creeve has made an alternate version with the tab. Find it here.
New!
Q: How can I restore the default Trigger 3.2 theme?
A: Flash the zip file attached to the OP
and here I come back from CM7....
God I love you in a non homosexual way..... You are the man birg!

This is one massive update to my ROM. I have personally themed damn near every image in it. A LOT of help came from Sonny Sekhon, author of the ICS theme for T-Mobile Theme Engine. Many thanks to him for getting me started on this!

Recommendations:
Wipe EVERYTHING before installing, or you WILL have problems.
Give the ROM time to run, before judging it. It will be slow to start, but speed will increase as things settle in. Wont take long, maybe a few minutes!
As for the Market, you need to sign into your Google account FIRST, and then the icon will appear.

Wondering the same thing. Has anyone tried this rom?
I'm an Evo user, rooted of course, with a nob question. Got a hold of a droid x, rooted it and want to flash this rom. Nob question. Can I boot int recover via rom mgr and flash or do I need to use boot straps to do this? I'm not well versed in cwm as I use RA for my evo. Thanks in advance, and take it easy on me please.
Also Can2t install
I just fresh sbf'ed back to 0.602. When I try to install I get Error 7 from clockwork....anyone else having this problem? Do i need to flash 2int recovery to install?-AT

NVM I gotta go back to the Froyo kernal.... I found my solution here:

What's going on CHEVY? I was wondering if it was fine for me to just install this on top of MIUI 1.10.21?
besides wiping dalvik if I do, will I need to format system as well by any chance?
Thanks for this awesome rom. Miui got boring after a while. I've been using it since it was released for us Droid x users.
Thanks for nice work but I have a question, what about the camera as I test in CM7 is too bad ? did you solve it in your ROM?
Looks great! Nice work
Wifi Issues
IS anyone else experiencing WIFI issues with this ROM? Sometimes I cannot get it to connect; then if I reset the phone a bunch of times it eventually connects....I wiped everything and reflashed twice; still having the issue.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks to Terry's intuitive init.d file you can manage your BLN and BLD without the need for NSTools.

Thank you.
Thank you so much. I've wanted this for forever. I got tired of facebook not working, and unnecessary tweaks I didn't want or need. I appreciate it, thanks again.
EDIT: I'm sorry, what do you mean no radio and bootloader? If I flash this ROM without flashing anything else, will my phone still work as usual?
Great man! Will download ASAP.. Can you show us some screenshots?

Lol - didn't want to fall into the "another rooted stock from" category as I just want it tidy and bug free.

YESSSS!!!! I will definitely give it a go!!! I was just doing my morning run and JUST WHEN I WANTED TO SHARE A PIC on Facebook from the sunrise and BOOM CRASHING and I was supposed to be stock on Brainmaster.
EVERYBODY PUTS "STOCK" in the title of their rom but then when u read the post...Well it is STOCK but it has this and that and this and that and 1 million other tweaks. And then u start discovering how certain things dont work like the Hot spot or the Facebook or something..
YESSS!!! I was just dreaming for this rom. I just did not wanted to go through the hassle of rooting and the other things u listed!!!
Thanks for your works. I'll just give a shot.
Looking good
I forgot to wipe anything coming from GB ... only realized as it was booting. Nice as it's kept all my GB settings.
Surprised to find the only thing complaining was Google +. Fixed by updating.
It is looking very good; not fast according to quadrant but feels smooth. No green flashes or ghosts at screen switch off. A keeper for a while until CM9 catches up.
Anybody able to confirm 9020a compatibility for me ?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
I would but I'm w/o my data cable here at work
Working fine so far on my i9020A. Nice having text in the Facebook app again.

No problem. Great job on this. I'm not even feeling the need to reflash the GlaDOS kernel after this. It seems to run very well with the stock kernel.
i will test this with glados
nice work
sounds good to me since I just want my rom rooted without any fancy things..
and I dont know how to root =p
You will require CWM in the first instance to install this. Please be aware.

Introducing ICSROM, an AOSPish mod of Motorola ICS
Conceptually the same as CSROM – a de-blurred and de-bloated version of stock to give that AOSP feel.
A Clean Slate to modify as You wish.
Like CSROM, anything that has been removed that you want (or just want to play with) is available for re-installation (see additional information).
Try to think of this ROM as a Clean Slate to modify as YOU wish.
I don't want to force apps, gapps, themes, and launchers on you.
I will leave it up to YOU to decide how you want YOUR ROM to look and function.
Many thanks to:
epinter and mmontuori
samcripp for ROM Factory

This ROM has just been posted. How could anyone have any idea of what the battery life is like? Please understand that everything you find in the next couple of days is going to be alpha. You flash at your own risk and you post bugs that you may encounter. You don't ask about battery life, you read the OP and decide if you want to TEST.
Do we need to flash vendor.img to get wifi and kb?

No, wifi should be working.
Should also be rooted.
I just have to say, you devs are absolutely awesome! I did the CWM install of the leak, and I'll wait a bit before doing this one, but in 24 hours, there's been so much done, I can't help but be impressed.
Thank you for the hard work!

yap, I decide what I want, but it doesn't mean that I can't ask and about battery life, when I flashed Leaked rom after one hour of use it was seem that battery life was worst than other roms
And there I had another question too
Would I have to wipe data coming from the leak?

Awesome!
I just flashed lokis cwm ROM. Will flash this soon.
Any pointers on where to start looking to add custom resolutions to web top?

[ROM] AtrICS v2.0 by Team Hope [build: 20121114][Final]

Introducing AtrICS v2.0!
by Team Hope
Unfortunately, thehope was unable to continue development of AtrICS.
So Team Hope was created to step in to help deliver what you were denied: A beautiful stock ICS experience.
This ROM is pure stock and fully Blured: nothing added and nothing removed. We intend to keep it that way.
Please don't ask for battery mods, quick panels, track skipping with the volume rocker, etc.
In time, mods will appear in the themes and apps section.
All members of Team Hope each have their own projects. This means updates may not come as frequently as you would like.
Please be patient. The team will do it's best to fix as many major problems as possible.
Some problems, if hardware related, may not be fixable within a reasonable time frame (sorry).
In the mean time, enjoy the gift we were given.
************************************
This ROM is an open source gift to the community. It may used as a base for your own ROM, just be sure to give credit to Team Hope and provide a link back to this thread.
It would also be appreciated if you would share any fixes or improvements with the community to help make AtrICS even better.
************************************
What's new?
Aside from changelog information, all the apps you have heard about and wanted to play with are available.
These include: SmartActions and the Weather Widget

What can you do?
_Alex_ was kind enough to create a wiki for "That Rom" (please thank him!).
Since both ROMs are closely related, it would be helpful to continue to use it for bug reports and fixes.
Providing logcats would be very helpful, but please be judicious. Posting a 10 page logcat is not very helpful.
Editing to remove non-error related processes will make the logcat much more useful. Logcats in color are the most helpful.
Post edited logcats but please save the orignal. You can even do it on your phone with aLogcat (Play Store).
Logcats capturing the following errors will be extremely helpful:
Dropped cellular data connection
SD Card related reboots

Edit: What I see in zip, it's look the same as v1.0 except vendor.img is missing.

thanks but no... only reason to use stock is for webtop and i guess it still doesn't work properly.. i shall wait for a deblured mod with all the goodies (including battery life mods) instead of having to look for them elsewhere
International users note you need to flash ramfix after flash of v2.
Smart actions works pity they don't have any more volume actions other than ringer volume!
Will report back after a few days of use. At face value not noticed anything yet other than smart actions working (I don't use the stock launcher).
Thank you team hope. Cheers
Just want to be sure, its the webtop from the link on your ICSROM?

For some users, myself included, deep sleep = SOD. I will post instructions to re-enable for those that want it.

Something so important as a new kernel and libs would probably be in the changelog.
