Has anybody tried v6 supercharger on HD2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
I tried it and I can feel some improvement in snappiness, but I can't say for sure, it could be placebo also because HD2 with CM7 ROMs runs quite smooth already..
Anyway please share your results and the setting you have selected and the ROM you currently have installed on your phone in this thread here..
I used MegaRam setting (the 9th preset) on typhoons CM7 v3.5.1 ROM and I can feel some improvement which is hard to quantify though..
Thanks for the tip, also used megaram settings..will test it a few days.
Loaded it too as well tonight went for option 9 and seems faster
Loaded it up. Not sure yet. Seems a little bit faster. Will update..
[UPDATE]
Loaded it up on hyperdroid cm7 2.1.0. Didn't really change much. Just seems like its taking up space. Maybe I picked the wrong option?
waiting for some1 to try on Hyperdroid ROM's whether its v12 or CM7.1
as of now, CM7.1 already is quite fast consistently so I am wondering whether this will help.
the installation looks abit technical though

It only looks technical because of huge info that OP has given the first post...however its pretty easy..its just 5 easy steps:
1. Download the script to SD card and get Script Manager from Market
2. Load up script in script manager
3. Select Run as root option in script manager
4. Click on Run Button
5. Select scrolling speed (i selected 2) and supercharge mode (I selected 9), when installation is complete, enter 16 to reboot in SM or reboot manually..that's it you're done...
Loaded it early today, and have noticed a little bit of an inprovement. I am using BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA CM7 v38 Rom, and used option 1. Have also noticed a little bit more free memory (like 20MB extra). average 250MB free now.
Anybody have any redraws?
Is multitasking still good?
There is a dev for HD2 that seems to think that HD2 memory system is somehow different from all other android phones.
Of course, I'm thinking that's BS based on the feedback here so far.

One problem: after running 3G TurboCharger can't reboot my phone, stuck on the first splash. Tried many times.
What's the matter?
I use dungphp's Pyramid 1.7.
V6 SuperCharger & Kick Ass Kernel work flawlessly. I've great speed in Sense 3.0.
Thanks for your job.
The 3G TurboCharger and kernel scripts both contain well known tweaks.
I really haven't heard of an instance of the 3G tweak causing such a thing before.
One of the 3G settings, I have found out, causes wifi to not work for some people but I haven't pinpointed which setting as of yet.
Im flashing now I sure hope this helps my battery.

I got it to flash it improved my ram I now have like 250m available. But it did not seem to help my battery drain.
Works great on my HD2 with NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.9 (GRJ90 / Android 2.3.5)
Without my phone is fast but with it it's faster and more responsive.

I choose fast n mega ram 2
Installed on NexusHD2 v2.9, went for option 9 (megaram) + hard to kill launcher, feels a little faster tho when opening apps, but the average free ram i get is 236mb as opposed to the 250mb some people reported, anyone found a better combination of settings?

How's your AOSP build going drod?
Im kind of a newb and ended up purchasing the bootstrap recovery, and then went on to install your rom as well as a new theme. You did an amazing job. I'm going to donate regardless, but I do have a question. If I already have the rom installed do I do I just reboot into recovery and install this file from my SD to update?

This is weird, while tethered my data keeps going in and out. Literally a X through the signal bars. I haven't used it enough untethered to noticed whether it is doing it there too or not.
I installed this rom and went great but for some reason everytime I try to go into recovery I lock down my phone. It reboots and hangs as moto m causing me to sbf I dunno wat the problem is. Anyone know please let me know. This has happened three times. Every time I try to go in recovery it locks down. And I love this rom regardless of wat I do I'm going to have to sbf back before I can go in recovery.

So do I have to install this like I would a brand new ROM?
Great ROM here!
Highly recommended. Been using for a month or so now and would never go back to blur....
With the 1.9.0 update, battery life is very pleasing...
drod, do you think this fix is applicable beyond rubiX? Just curious if it's something Fission could use too. I used to have spectacular battery life (almost 50 hours once with moderate use) on stock Blur, but even with the extended battery and various versions of Fission (with SBFs and battery stat resets) I've never been able to make it more than 30 hours. And 30 hours was with almost no use!
I'm just still a little confused...do I have to install this like I would a brand new rom or can I just update from bootstrap recovery?

I was blown away by the 30 hour and 50 hour comment till I read you're using an extended battery.
My tweaks were included in fission before, but we agreed that they were better left out.
So no, my tweaks are exclusive to my rom, and I intend for them to stay that way, unless approached by another dev looking for some help.
Does the hdmi work? Will it ever? And is there any roms for the dx with a working hdmi?

This is interesting! Were there some unintended side effects? Or should I go bug Ang to get them in
here i share the tweak that has been tested and i find that it did improve my battery life
Tested on:
CM7.0.2 Latest status-works
Clean 2.3.2 Latest status-works
ROMS with tweak applied
All auto installers will have the fastboot -w command built in so make a backup of your data partition using clockwork recovery. So you just download the exe and run it will auto reboot your phone into fastboot and once it has flashed it will reboot to normal mode again

Is your ROM lagging without overclock or is it working smooth ?
Im testing it wright now and its not so smooth...
there's times it lags but then I use cache cleaner ng and then it goes back to normal again. im quite impressed with the tweak so far and the fact that you stop overclocking the CPU is great because it will make your phone last longer

YES, in the thread of the tweak is the DL link for the zip, its for the better performance of the network...
BTW. my network router was killing me, restarted him and now its everything fine.
Look on the thread for the tweak and you will see the step after the installation that you need to install the "Remover for USA network" over recovery, after that the network is working pritty good !
thanks for the heads up i will check that out later when im home from work
Hi All
I really like Sense (I know I might be in the minority) and am curious to see what the best Sense ROM is. I've tried a few (Hyper Sense, Sebastiaan15's Runny V5, now I am flashing RCADS Mix as we speak). The first two had a few flaws, mostly FCs at various points. I'm just curious to see what everyone else is using and could use a little guidance. I will continue to flash versions until I find one that works for me, but wasn't sure if I was missing a real popular version. Thanks for the help and awesome work to all the devs out there!
Nick
hello , i'm using the RCADS Mix HD with the new kernel and it's awesome, It's super fast !! with sense 3.0 <3
Install this :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15193199&postcount=2503
And flash this Kernel to doesn't have the graphical glitches :
http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...asabe_v8.zip&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13253397701962
ANd you're done with a super sense 3.0 ROM !!
But you must have the Hypersense hboot :2) Latest HBOOT: BLACKROSE Custom HBOOT from "dla5244" dev, modified by me, so you'll have v7.35.5117 !
Download (Based on NEW Blackrose!): http://I'm also UPDATING Blackrose p...31/12 version!
New Partition Layout is: 345mb System, 10mb Cache, 81mb Data.
To flash this, you have to do the following:
- Extract the content of "Blackrose_HBOOT.rar" into your C:\ folder!
- Now you'll see 2 folder:
-> FIRST go to "blackrose_111217_2" folder and open Blackrose.exe. Then follow the steps to UPDATE or to INSTALL it from scratch!
-> AFTER that, you have to install the custom partition layout, so do the following.
- Open the windows command prompt (cmd).
- Type: cd..
- Type: cd.. (yes another time)
- Type: cd Modified_HBOOT
- Now you're into the folder. Make sure that you have your Nexus running into the bootloader (1° white screen with red FASTBOOT word)!
- Type: fastboot erase cache
- Type: fastboot flash hboot hboot_brcust.nb0
- Type: fastboot reboot-bootloader and if you can see HYPERSENSE-360/5/71 (= new partition layout) you're done!
- Type another time (just to be sure): fastboot erase cache.
--> Finally go into recovery and flash this ROM!
-> Remember to WIPE everything every time you flash a new ROM!
And flash this before the instalation :http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...m/DXN5QT2U60&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13253398926782
- You must have an EXT 4 Partition
then flash this : http://api.viglink.com/api/click?fo...m/GM054TELYE&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13253399331113
and flash the rom and WAIT !!
Thanks
Thanks for the replies. I actually ended up using the new HyperSense 2.7SD for a couple weeks and really liked it, but ultimately, went back to CM7 for the speed. I like Sense, but I didnt like that GTalk was removed from 2.7. I tried downloading from Market but got an error messaging about package parsing whenever I tried to install Talk. I miss sense a little, but CM7 is super user-friendly. I'll keep looking. I'm somewhat of a flashaholic, so I'm sure I'll change again soon.
Nick
Change for the sebastian's rom it's the fastest sense 3.5 rom . Now im using this rom but you should have a sdcard between class 6 and 10 or it will lag for me it works great !!!!

Trust me there are many sense ROMs.. Hypersense..Sebastians & bla bla..But they become very slow when I install apps/ They have very low internal Memory...
This ROM has both a huge internal memory of 1.5GB (Don't care about what the phone shows ~150MB, which isn't actually used when I install anything)
There's a but though... The trackball lights are not working.. I am dying to figure it out..Blinker works like crazy..Led Light Flow doesn't work at all..
The camera is pretty good.. Though Flickers when I try to focus on a close object..But overall so far, This is the best Sense ROM for Nexus one..& don't forget to install V6

Using Blackrose HBOOT is completely a waste of space for this ROM..
This ROM needs around 250MB for system..Assigning 345MB is just a waste of ~100MB for nothing... I strongly recommend the Stock Hboot... The data partition gets around 150MB on Stock..
Sebastian15's Runny AIO 5.0.1 is the best sense ROM. It's recommended to have between a class 6 or 10 sdcard or you'll face serious speed issues.

Thank you very much race55..& also all the great people who did/helped to make this ROM..
on the Tools>All LED test.. the trackball works like charm but it doesn't flash when I get a message or Miss call
I tried out many Sense ROMs also. (Sense 3.x fanboy)
I have a bad experience with HyperSense because i can't install many apps due to very low data partition. four, maybe five apps could be installed, but the message "low Memory" pops up. Unstable browser and frequent lag made me switch to RCADSMIX.
RCADSMIX is much better than HyperSense, in my opinion. Great stability and a camera with paranorma mode was great. If i were to recommend one sense ROM, it would be this one. Although multitouch was enabled, pinch-to-zoom was horrendous for me. The touch input would constantly sense me pressing the capacitor buttons, a problem i did not have on HyperSense. But RCADS, over time, kept overheating and it would requently reboot in the middle of a video, or browser.
I tried many other sense ROMs, including Sebastiaan15's Runny V5, BlissMod v4, Runnymede007 v5. All had some problems such as laggy video player, bad touch sensor/input, and for some reason my computer could not connect for "sdcard data transfer" on BlissMod. Finally, i got so frustrated I just flashed a stable CM7.
ICS was introduced shortly after, and i flashed Evervolv's ROM. I miss sense, and i want to try out RCMix ICE if a kind dev decides he/she can port it

One of the main reasons a Sense ROM lags is because of a slow sdcard. It's seriously recommended not to flash a Sense ROM unless you have at least a class 6 sdcard, otherwise you'll definitely face speed issues. Especially with Sebastiaan15's Runny AIO ROM seeing as that ROM installs about 50% to the nand memory and 50& to an ext-partition on your sdcard.

I am really sorry.. actually it was my fault.. Today I noticed Trackball Alert popped out on my notification area out of nowhere..After uninstalling Trackball Alert..Light Flow works great with the settings you provided.. A million thanks to you.. My recommendation to anyone would be, please uninstall any thing related to TB Notifications (i.e. Blinker, Trackball Alert, No Led) & Light Flow will give a breathing light again to your Trackball

I haven't faced the Overheating Problem on the RCADSMix Rom yet, The touch problem you specified, I still face that on any ROM, name it CM, MIUI or anything.. & yes My cell rebooted a couple of times, esp, when it got overloaded on memory but when I installed the V6 Supercharger Script.. Haven't faced any single reboot till then.. So I strongly Recommend the V6 Supercharger.. & yes RCADSMix performs better than Runny if you have a slower Memory + I have 120+ Apps installed & it says I have used only 91MB & 105MB is still free.. I don't know how RCADS is that much faster even though all the apps are on my SD card..
You can again give a try to the RCADS..a next update of this ROM would be just Super awesome where are the Developers ?

My Super charger Settings : 512HP Ledded
Installed Nitro Lag Nullifier
Installed Powershifting to easily switch between 512HP super & 768 super & added a widget. (To play heavy 3D games, actually I don't play Heavy 3D games that much so I use it very rare)
Followed this instruction : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21309686&postcount=8
I would Like to see :
1. Android 2.3.7
2. The sense 3.0 Camera is perfect but I face a flicker problem on medium light conditions (esp. on close objects, like when I want to take a picture of a paper or computer screen) So a camera update would be really nice.. atleast a fixed camera will work fine for me.. Sense camera 3.5 isn't necessary as I have Camera360 to take care of that job.
3. V6 Supercharger Integrated
4. When I apply a skin my Dock bar doesn't change, a fix for that would be great.
5. Ability to change the shortcuts both on Lockscreen & Statusbar.
I believe these would make the ROM simply Super Awesome !!

You can already change shortcuts on lockscreen! Just go select lockscreen, click edit and chose your icons. But please note, im not really a dev, more like a tweaker/ bug fixer. I will see for the problems (im still a noob... A learning noob.)

Thank you very much again.. I am really a newbie on sense ... I changed my shortcuts on the lockscreen.
It would be really great if you can just provide a fixed camera.. Nothing more needed.. Is it possible to install CM7/MIUI Camera ? that would be even enough for me.. Camera 360 is a really great camera app.

Not really! I am also using Sebastiaan's rom ported by dbasabe (v5.0.1) and I have a 16gb class 2 SD Card...and I dare say it runs alright...decent speed. There are no speed threats (although, yes - a bit more speed could always help). All I'm trying to say is that it's not as bad with a class 2 either.
The rom itself is one of the best sense roms ported to N1. Thanks sebastiaan & dbasabe.
***Update***
Ironically, I ordered a Strontium SD Card 32 GB of class 10.
Alright ppl, here is another tweak.
This one is brought to you today by zepplinrox (creator of V6 SuperCharger)
Linky to the SuperCharger-Maximum MultiTasking
** In a nutshell **
This tweak makes changes to the services.jar. It basically allows you to run more apps in the background and apps won't automagically get killed as often. Allows the phone to switch between apps a lot faster.
I have so kindly gone through the process of modifying the services.jar from BrokenOut2.0 and have packaged it in a flashable zip (found HERE)
As always, I am not responsible if your device does not like it, gets sick, or dies. But if you ask nicely, I might be able to help fix it.
Make a backup!!!!!! I will post an uninstall zip shortly.
1. Reboot into cwm
2. Flash zip (will wipe cache and dalvik-cache)
3. Reboot
Enjoy kiddies!!!!
DOWNLOAD
For those who do not like living on the edge... UNINSTALLER
If apps don't get killed in the background, then wouldn't the phone run out of memory, thus causing it to reboot? And wouldn't it lag the phone overall?

In theory yes, but as zepplinrox states in his thread, (not a direct quote) "Minfrees are absolute".
Android allows a maximum of about 15 apps in the background and this tweak ups the limit to 70. Plus android kills apps on a regular just cuz it was sitting idle too long. Also with this tweak, the time to kill background apps has been increased to about 24 hours. And yes, we only have so much ram, but when your minfree values are reached, the service is invoked and apps are killed.
I have been running this tweak for a few days now and love how facebook loads up like my contacts. I can say (and my wife will back me up, my in-home beta tester :laugh, that there is little to no redraw when switching from dialer (and i use exDialer), to contacts, to msging (goSMS).
Did you install this on top of using the V6 Supercharger? Right now I have done ICS Tweaks and the V6 Supercharger. With the extended battery, I am getting ridiculously long usage and my phone is quite snappy for the most part. I guess I can just backup and try it and if it causes any issues just restore my backup.
Right now I'm using a few tweaks from pmr, and v6, and max-multitasking.
I started out with just the multitasking, then added v6, then played around with some tweaks from pmr.

It would be nice if we could get a ROM update with some of these tweaks built right in. or some sort of software app like other phones have where we could select all the tweaks from a list and apply the ones we want real easy.

I'm working on that. Aroma baby!!!!!!!! The esteem crew over at AF have done that with all the bloat ware stock apps and I'm working on that concept with all the flashable tweaks and maybe another one with all the stock vz/lg bloatware. The only bad thing is aroma makes flashable zips very large.
downloading now...
if I want to get back to stock kernel,, can I just simply flash the ZV9 stock kernel??
or I have to wait for your uninstall zip?
Uninstall zip should be up tonight

Infromation About CrossBreeder-
- This is a new take at Android lag reduction. It's lightweight and won't consume battery. Users have reported drastic improvements in usability and even benchmark scores. It will show noticeable improvements - Android devices from Donut to Froyo to Gingerbread to Honeycomb to ICS and Jellybean.
- This is a combination of 5 different methodologies to reduce Android lag.
- Removal of DNS lag . A lot of the lag in a lot of apps, apart from the GUI lag, is due to slow DNS querying, specially on the mobile network.
- CrossBreeder now runs a caching, parallelising DNS client on the device. So now most of your DNS queries will be served from the cache and if not found, the query will be sent in in round robin fashion to multiple DNS servers including Google DNS, OpenDNS and your home router and the reply will be served to you, hot.
- This speeds up network access and networked apps, like Browsers of course, and Tapatalk, Gmail and thousands of others drastically. And removes a lot of the lag where it was due to DNS querying. This will not increase your network or download speed but pages will load much faster.
- This will future proof your devices as more and more apps start using HTML5 and/or reside completely as web pages or the like.-
I Just thought, there are some great developers in our forum, with great tweaks, geared for their own specific purpose, and i thank them. I HAVE asked for permission to use these tweaks, to make a pack of the best, from the best taking a few of those great tweaks and putting them in one lightweight package. Now , I did NOT create any tweak in this pack. That is why introductions and thanks are in order.

Test Init.d With The "21 Test-init.d" script
-THINGS YOU NEED-
Rom Toolbox (free or pro)
Root Access (superuser access) for Rom Toolbox
ComaDose Already Flashed
-Steps-
After ComaDose flash, if you want to check if your init.d is functioning properly you can check it with the 21 test init.d script...
After flash the test init.d script has already ran (on startup) now thwe sole purpose of this script is to show whether or not init.d
is properly functioning.
When this script is ran (executed) as all scripts in init.d are upon startup, it creates a file in the /data folder.
so why dont we take a look for it?
Using Rom Toolbox, go to the "root browser" tab (upon first startup youll be prompted to SuperUser permissions, Allow this)
Once in Root Browser youll be in the root of your device by default. ( / )
Click on the "Data" folder..
In the /Data folder, were looking for "Exit Only Init.d" file
if you see this file, your init.d is working and all scripts are running ...
If you dont see this file after reboot (post flash) you can execute the "21 test Init " script manually...
back out to the root of the phone, go into "system", then into "etc" then into the "init.d" folder and locate the "21_testinit.d" script, press on it , bringing up this menu.
press the "open as" tab, bringing up this menu...
then press the "script file" option..
Then you want to press the "execute Script" option, making sure the "execute as root option is checked, as shown below.
which will then execute the script using init.d support to do so.. looking like this
after its executed, go back into /data and find the "Exit Only Init.d" file if its there your init.d is working.....

This Mod is NOT Kernel specific. its init.d scripts, a few extras like gps.conf files , this is great on battery makes phone sleep like a baby, (depending on what you have running , obviously) now with the added Crossbreeder it give it a nice snappy response aswell

I would uninstall the current Cbreeder , then reflash ComaDose, better to start fresh. that way nothing being conflicted, or written over.. etc.
So I take it stock mf9 kernel wouldn't actually work where it doesn't support initd or does this add that ability

this pushes init.d support my friend.
If your unsure if your devices Init.d support is functioning there is a script in the /etc /init.d folder called 21_testinitd after flash, go to /data look for a FILE not folder, exit_only-initd. if its there your init.d - busy box is working...
