If im not mistaken, until now developer only able to do is install android SDK on window.
Window sdk not exist.
But if below link;-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=860407
Did work (crazy project), most probabily you can use android sdk on you tab to make your own app.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Technically you could, install the linux sdk on ubuntu, but it would be pretty ****.
So im assuming you want the sdk and a dev area, but then if you need to ask how to install it i cant see you putting the sdk to any good use at all so.

What I can suggest is for you to understand the step to do it and explain it here in your own way.

Not up to me buddy. I won't report you. I won't have to though. You did the right thing by asking in the computer thread. But making your own thread about the question you already asked and that should of never been made into a thread because a thread for this already exists? The mods don't take to kindly to.

yes its possible, when
1) you use the same CWM version that made that backup you wish to use
or
2) you open your CWM Backup with root explorer , locate file named "nandorid.md5" and open it and delete all its contents, than save that empty file and try doing the restore again.
BTW when you want to ask a question or seek help, don't you think its important to let others know what phone , model and ROM you have? You don't expect everyone to know that do you? cause without it, you might get a wrong answer and whole lot of new problems .
Check this out! You , YES! you are an " Android ". Not your phone but U.
