Unless I'm horribly off base, you can use Odin One-Click to Stock to get the Eclair/Froyo bootloaders you'll need.
Just remember to back up your apps first with Tibu, and your /efs (nandroid backup).

OK I appreciate your quick response. Are you sure one click does bootloader? I'm from vibrant forums and they don't have one click bootloader, it just has rom and kernel

As far as I know, one-click contains the bootloaders. When I messed up my GB install, I used it to get back to the Eclair stock (with bootloaders) to head back to GB.

the stock 2.1 ONE CLICK does indeed include both bootloaders needed

when in doubt, odin one click.

Thanks alot guys! Very pleasant first experience in the cappy forums, really appreciate all your replies. If. I could thank you from my phone I would!

You can. You don't have you use the tapatalk app.
Just open this in your browser, then it's the full site including the thank you button

Flashing a modem won't brick your cappy. Also, every modem works differently on every phone and perfomance depends alot of your location.
Feel free to try them out - Just make sure you know what you're doing
So all that is is a modem

no, he doesn't understand, please ignore him.
the JVB rar should have a PDA, MODEM, and CSC tar.md5 files inside which are to be used with ODIN. you *should* be able to flash it and be fine, but I wouldn't recommend it as there's always a potential for bricking with ODIN. add to that, you should flash the new bootloaders to avoid graphical glitches, they'll affect your button recovery for download mode (which could lead to more potential danger).
basically, anytime you use ODIN will *never* be safe, but you *should* be able to do it.
Wow,a different bootloader? What should I use? Also which files do I flash to get the whole thing? The whole zip or just the zimage? Sorry for the 4 questions at once but I guess there's more to it than I thought lol

Im just confused about bootloaders and how I could brick the phone if I try going back to stock. Sorry if the questions been asked, I searched. Thanks

There used to be an app on the market that would give you the code. It was specifically for galaxy s phones.

The UNROOT
If you wanna unroot your device, why so ever, the easiest way is to use Unlock Root (Link above) open it, connect your phone via USB, enable Debugging Mode and click unroot. If you wanna unroot it, e.g. to be able to send it back to LG on warranty, better use the method below, to unbrick your device with R&D tool.
Because like this, you will get back an unrooted device, which has also been hardresetted. So LG will hardly/never get a clue, that it has ever been rooted.
Dont forget to format your SD card as well

That's from my how to, but I think I should correct this. Use Smartflashtool and flash the latest version available for you. Do a factory reset from within settings menu and everything should be fine

You would have to be in the bootloader to flash that. Tell me what the name of the file is and I will tell you how to flash it via fastboot.

And thanks a lot really appreciate it :highfive:
I don't even know how to get to the bootloader on this phone though if you could help me with that as well.
Know how to get into recovery and download mode :good:
Hey, forget about the boot loader and download "ktool" from the play store. This app should make it easy for you to restore your backup.
