Hello all!
I have been a proud user of Galaxy Note user for a bit over a week now, and I am trying to test (in real app-world) if all the sensors are working correctly to be able to bring change it at the store if something doesn't work, since I'm eager to root my device and I probably won't be able to return it then.
Yesterday I installed the game AirPenguin, which uses accelerometer controls, and it seems all messed up. Basically what happens is that as soon as the game starts, the bird goes flying way left, even though I am holding the phone still. What I found out after experimenting a bit was that the game itself is locked to portrait mode, but the accelerometer works as if it was in landscape. Meaning I have to hold it in landscape, and when I then tilt it left, the bird flies left in game-screen, but left is down from my point of view.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen such problem in this game or any other app, and if it is just a game bug or if there could be a problem with the accelerometer.
The stock accelerometer calibration works without a problem - when I tilt the phone left, the ball goes right, and when I tilt it right, it goes left (I suppose that's how it's supposed to be).
Thank you all in advance!

I'm facing the same problem on my Galaxy Note, I wonder if that happens also on other android devices or it's a galaxy note issue only?
i dont have the app, but is auto-rotate (that thing in the notification bar) turned off or on? try changing that to see if it fixes it?

Same problem with my Galaxy Tab 7+ P6200. I have encountered so many games in the google playstore with this problem. Too bad, i hope the app developers fix this problem for our devices.
afair there was a free app for comprehensive hardware testing, it was called Z-Device test, if stones interested, and google does not hello, I may try to find the link or apk later

Hi ,
I have my galaxy tab 8.9 for the last 3 weeks and I am really happy with it (bought from panamoz if anyone interested I can share my experience with that fake looking website ). I haven't root it yet and I am using ADW launcher ex
I have a little (sometimes massive) problem with auto rotate function and how it works. When I watch video I would like to be able to rotate the screen 360 degree but I could not manage to get the screen other way around in landscape mode. I can only watch video when samsung logo is normal, could not find a way to make it work when logo is upside down. This means I can't use my official book cover for watching videos during charging + I can't use my official card/usb readers for watching anything since I cant use a stand while they are attached.
I wonder if anyone have a solution for this after the root operation or installing unofficial ICS roms.
I have this option works like charm on my galaxy s2 but my galaxy tab (maybe all android honeycoms) really sucks when it comes to auto rotate implementations for certain operations.
I hope somebody can my day
Thanks all.
hi guys.
I'm in LSC: S note works fine, productivity seems to work ...

anyone else've seen this?

So I broke the screen on my Galaxy S phone (for the second time) and I think it's not worth the screen replacement.
So I was wandering if anybody know a good DIY project, maybe some kind of HTCP or media center like software.
Because it has a TV out I was thinking of hooking it up to a TV, just haven't found the right software. XBMC is crashing a lot.
Has anyone tried OpenELEC?

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 from T-Mobile SGH-T889 and a Gear Neo 2, I had tuned the Neo display on as I wanted to see Weather info, and display stayed on for the preset time but?.... I had accidentally rubbed up against my arm of which made the Neo go to random undetermined areas as I was not viewing it at the time but it made my Galaxy Note 2 make a sound and turn off the Bluetooth?, I don't have any apps to turn of or manipulate anything on my Galaxy Note 2 like WiFi, BT Trigger type "Apps"and such... I just got this Neo 2 recently so not much on it except a new Clock Face so basically Stock...
Has anyone experienced something like this? any help will be appreciated as I wish to avert this from happening again.
