Do you mean tun.ko? its the vpn tunnel kernel module. Are you rooted?

I am rooted and on 3.2 update. I have any connect installed, but when I go to connect get an error saying I don't have the tun.ko drivers.
I have tried both Kernals that are available, and even installed the tun.ko file with them, and still can't connect.
Of course the only iPad in the office can connect with no issues

Jumping in, with your indulgence please, as this is related. Where did you find the Anyconnect client for the Xoom? I'm not looking for warez. But, I asked our IT folks and they didn't know of one. If there's a legit source for it, I'd appreciate a pointer please. They directed me to try using the built-in VPN configurations (either of the ipsec protocols) but no joy yet...
On a whim, and after some further reading on a Cisco forum, I tried to download and install the new Samsung version of Anyconnect which is on the market. Unfortunately, installation fails. Just letting others know in case they were thinking of trying the same thing. BTW, I'm stock 3G.
So, still no VPN joy with my work's Cisco setup...

anyconnect for root users
That's the one I've tried, but I think there's something wrong on the server side as I can't connect at present.
I do know on the back end your Cisco ASA has to have the mobility license in order to be able to connect with your tablets.
We just installed this, but so far only i-Pads are able to connect
I might have to make the jump over to Tiamats new ROM, but want to wait till a few more bugs are worked out with it.
I was really hoping the Xoom was going to be able to connect with VPN, guess that's just not the case yet.
Ken~
This installs fine for me (awesome, i didn't know cisco finally put this out). However, I can't figure out how to tell it what Certificate to use. Anyone know?
I got this working with help from a friend... basically the problem is that the documentation sucks hard. Anyconnect doesn't use the android certificate store, you need to import the cert into the Anyconnect certificate store. To do that, I stuck this webpage up on my webserver:
Code:
<html>
anycon
</html>
Then go ahead and connect to that webpage and click the link. Anyconnect will pop up and allow you to import a certificate called mycert.p12 that is on the root of your sdcard.

did it to me also the first time, until I applied the fix. Check my post below yours in the Q&A thread.
Yeah i looked at your post I dont have any problems downloading from the new online market but I was seeing some inconsistencies in what the online market though I had installed and what was really installed, like it had some apps I had installed from my G1 days which have never been installed on my nexus one. I will try this though when I get home and see if it changes anything I cant imagine it would as my problem is with the browser and certificate keys. anythings worth a try now.
Solved online market issues
I have found out a fix for chrome did not look into fixes for IE and FF although I believe you can make the same changes in those browsers as well. I had to disable SSL al together and use TLS and walla no more certificate errors. If any one is still experiencing these problems try this?
Does anyone have, or have access to, the new apk (v. 1.6) of the Sirius XM app? I would love to try it on my Xoom and see if it works. This is the only thing missing from my perfect tablet.
This was the first thing I thought of when I saw the update was released. Sadly I still can't make it work, it gets stuck at the "checking for updates" notification and then times out back to the login screen.
I've tried clearing the app data and reinstalling the app with no results. If you or anyone else figures this out please share.
Try inserting the app into data/data with matching permissions.
May work that way. Maybe.
It's working for well for me, doesn't look perfect, but the station quality is great.

^ what method did you use to install?
once again it only works on 3g xooms... sigh
I suspected something like that when I saw the permissions requirements on install. It requires (Phone calls: read phone state and identity) and (Serices that cost you money: directly call phone numbers), which seems kind of odd to me unless they're using your phone number to track/identify you to the service, or determine your location / country (license or channel listing data maybe?) to build the initial app database.
So this means it's probably getting stuck trying to access the device modem and because there isn't one it just times out.
I'm curious to see if someone who also has the app on their phone and copied the /data/data/com.sirius folder over to the xoom after installing the .apk normally would have any better luck. My phone is rooted but my xoom is not so I can't try it.

Looking for the apk for 1.6.1, if anyone can help and provide, would be much appreciated
Hello.
I live in a "sanctioned" Country: Cuba
Meaning that I don't have access to the market, The app just closes itself after a few seconds trying to connect. I gess you know the huge problem this is, would you imagine yourself without access to the market???. Every website I go gives me a barcode linking to the market or says "Just go to the market and ..." and then I just have to smile.
I can get to the market using the browser but the service ask me to log in one time with the app and buy/download at least one app.
This is what I've done to try to workaround the issue.
Setup Proxy: Market App doesn't work with proxy. I think only the browser does.
Installed Market Access apk and/or Market Enabler apk. Any of these are suppose to emulate a different carrier so the market "thinks" I'm in another country. It doesn't work.
Setup VPN. This should hide my IP. VPN connects OK. I get different IP which i Can tell just by opening ipchicken.com. So digitally speaking I'm in california but MARKET is a no go.
Updated vending.apk with the app from a friend's phone and still the same.
Any Ideas?
I had given up a couple of months ago and I was getting everything from mediafire, megaupload etc. But since I joined xda-devs I'm eager to update and test new ROMs and ROM manager is not able to download Clokworkmode Recovery. This is annoying. I know I have some other ways to flash ROMs but I still want to get to the market anyway.
Samsung i897 Captivate Stock 2.1.1 Unlocked and Rooted.
Thanks.
Try installing and using this http://db.tt/ypqbCr8U to spoof the market.

That's what I get for reading/posting at 4:30 in the morning. :/
My best guess would be that american buisnesses are filtering all things cuban. ISPs and wireless providers included. Tough luck bro. get rid of the Castros.apk that should resolve most of your device issues.
You don't need Rom manager to get CWM, not for the captivate. You can drop in any rooted kernal and most of them have CWM available to them.
I would recommend starting here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1300843
PLEASE NOTE - that if you want to update to Gingerbread 2.3 you need the newest bootloaders!
Problem with VPN
when ever i install any VPN App (Hotspot Shield, Tigervpns or any other) , it never connects..
also even if i add a manual VPN it also never connects...
I thought that this might be caused by wrong/missing vpn config in the ROM itself, so i did Added VPnServices.APK from BaldEagle KTS ROM still its same result...
I am trying to find a solution on the net, but most of them are related with android v 4.X ..
I need to get a working VPN asap, so any tips/solutions will be very appreciated...
My ROM:
Self Modified Slim Down version of ROM Bald Eagle WKTS
NOTE:
also my adobe Flash player used to work perfectly till January, but now i never works on any video site & gives error "Sorry, this video cannot be played"
https://www.publicvpn.com/support/Gingerbread.php
Dont know if it helps, but trying this method wouldn't hurt.
Maybe the vpn you use has not provided open port. Try this. Ive been using it for more than a year http://xtreamvpnworld.blogspot.com
