Yesterday the new update was released for developers. The 7712.60 has few new features, and some that where in the test version were Enabled. The main thing, html5 video API is working now and the browser passes the html5 test. To watch html5 test video go to http://camendesign.com/code/video_for_everybody/test.html
Other features e.g. Sound on copy and paste, linked in, Zune, people hub, visual voicemail working... New start up metro screen...
Twitter integration yet?
Yes it's there.
Is there an original thread to this post or is it a Zune update.

Banding issue fixed???
And do we get a new colour scheme??
thats probably not the right playce to ask but, is it possible to use the mobile facebook site from iPhone and Android? I mean mango has html5 support I think it should be possible ...
@cydroid
Much improved, dunno about cache
@circleofmega
Not that I can tell. Although there is a 'Mango' color there I don't recall seeing before.
@arsenalfreak
Yeah, although with the integration into the OS itself + the official Facebook app, you won't find yourself using it a whole lot. he integration is pretty awesome.
这么多的更新呢,好想试试。希望微软能快些放出正式版吧!

In the days before our official Froyo release there are a couple things i would like to ask around here.
I know everyone wants a fix for the slower behaviour of the phone...
and all of us want a GPS-fix.
But there a few more things i would to see on our phone, and i'll start with posting what i am missing, and i really hope you all could follow my lead here and fill me in.
Things missing:
-music widget for SGS music player.
-More in depth weather app..without the OBVIOUS brand-dropping of
accuweather.
-Support for local popular social-sites in the feeds and updates widget.
(like the dutch Hyves.nl or other local sites)
-An option to look for other languages in the Aldiko eBook reader.
And i know this is a bit stating the obvious; but erhm...i want more widgets from samsung in general...there are just so few in comparison to the Sense-UI!
And some of the google standard widgets should also be there too...they aren't included on the dutch version...just a couple of em...
Well, fill me in, and post your additions to let Samsung know what we all want.
(they must be reading this right?)
Buy launcher pro plus. Way faster then the crappy touchwiz. And it got lots of build in widgets.

They need to fix the way they update SGS...when we update we lose apps, no other phone when updating android does this..... Lol I had a,moto milestone and it never happened....sure back up apps, but I dont like the fact we have to do that cause of a bug.

Scalable dialer
The email app is missing the option to accept or decline meetings. This is unacceptable for business users!
The calendar is missing an option to select which calendar is the primary calendar.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Its missing more hardware buttons! other then that I'm quite happy with the device, I'm a little annoyed at not having music player widget but I've repleaced it with Lithium Music Player which I love.
Also I really don't care for touch whiz as its a piece of cow feces. First thing I do is install LauncherPro as its quite a good and fast replacement but I can't help to think its missing something
The SGS is missing a flash..
Definitly a better mail client:
HTML support for mails
Accept/decline meetings
Needs to be way faster

In the froyo testbuilds i think it remembers your last chosen calendar, so that should do the trick for you.
As for the rest i'm pretty satisfied (apart from a little lag, gps works ok for me)

Hey I just released a branched version of Droid Reader specifically for Honeycomb tablets. It's still in the development phase, but I thought I'd go ahead and throw what I have out on the market so people can get to it. Let me know if you have any problems or suggestions.
You will need to relaunch the application after you authenticate the first time (or hit back on the authentication browser window).
I'm hoping to eventually merge this back in with the actual Droid Reader project, but I have to get ahold of the project owners first. If they end up releasing a tablet edition I'll probably just pull this app.

Trying it out right now, so far it looks good, does it have G Reader support or is it like Pulse where you add the RSS feeds to your local storage? I will find out for myself.

Hate to double post, but I have some things to say about it:
When you read an article it doesn't mark it as read
Going back to list of feeds is little misleading, I would assume pressing back would go back, but you have to press that button? Weird
Widget, I know this is in beta, just a suggestion
So far it's surprisingly smooth and stable, had one crash but that's cause I had Tapatalk and Sumarai 2 open in the background. At least I think that's why. Keep up the great work, and I love this so much it got rid of Google Reader( Google didn't even make a Google Reader app for Honeycomb? What the hell?)
Thanks!
Edit:
Embed video crashes the app, just wanted to add that

Great app, thanks !

When you are on the list of RSS feeds you select one and then it takes you to that feed, I would assume to go back to the list all you would have to do is tap the back button, but that does nothing just flip through the articles you have seen, I thought that the back button would take you back to the RS feed list view.
Edit: would like to see a change log on app store please?

offlline support
Hi, it works good now, but greatest addition will be to support offline cache. And not only RSS cache, but cache external link content. I want read news even when Im not connected and in RSS there are only few sentences, and I must open browser to read all and it is discomfort and with lack of internet connection (eg in train) impossible.
Thanks
Hi,
Today I installed Blackmart Alpha on my Nook, and I saw a updated version of Cool Reader (3.1.0-19), you can find it on here. However on Google Play, the newest version is 3.0.57-15, updated long time ago. Does anyone know what is it? I cant even find the devs web page, only the engine's sourceforge.
It has redesigned UI, better in my opinion, however I am unable to get into "Reader's Options", when activated (middle-screen press), in blinks black, and goes to books list. On my phone it shows options like search or open file. Anyone knows how to fix it?

You have to wait, it's a beta version so it's still unstable, i have already signaling the bug on the official topic on mobilereader, let's hope it will be fixing soon
Thre's only one thing missing in CoolReader - a good library (diffrent types of sorting and view, shelves, monitoring specific folders etc.). As far as I'm concerned, reading features and options are amazing!

Did you notice the whatsapp bug on nokia lumia phones ??
http://www.hackinthus.com/2013/01/windows-phone-whatsapp-bug_26.html
Yes, happens the same with me. Also, I'm unable to share screenshots via whatsapp.
Apparently it is due to WhatApp using a music streaming agent to keep the wifi connected when the screen turns off, this allows messages to come in when you have no data connection. This is what causes the bug with the music player.
It is really annoying and hopefully they should remove it now that the portico update allows users to force wifi to stay connected while the screen is off.
Yes its really annoying !! Is Microsoft or whatsapp even aware of this bug ??
I don't think so but its a real serious issuw which they should fix fast !!

It is not a bug and it has been there for months! Before even wp8 came out
Download Stop the Music app, or just play some music.
It is really annoying though, and WhatsApp has promised an update a long time ago.
Hopefully the update can bring the app partially close to what it's like on other platforms.

Whatsapp is full of bugs and flaws and i've already sent them about everything.
here's what bothers me:
- Can't send screen snapshot
- Can't send a broadcast
- When I want to forward a message, i have to search all over the contacts from the start (no recents chats)
- Can't open personal pictures.
- Can't set different ringtone for single contacts and groups.
- Can't creat a notification shortcut on lockscreen.
- Wuld be great if i can maximize the live tile so i can read the message without opening the app or just to know who's the sender.
- I can't send the videos I shoot.
- if the message is too long, the last part of it is unreadable because it's out of the bubble (black font with black background)
but everything else is good
Ha ha, , everything else is fine !!

I'm slowly starting to think WhatsApp is abandoning WP8 or so? There is no news nor updates on the ton of bugs WA for WP has, the last tweet from them from mid January stated we would see something in the upcoming weeks... Still nothing yet while the iOS and Android versions are in full swing.
WP is such a great platform, Whatsapp seems to ignore it. Shame on them :crying:

is not a bug. They use music api in order to be in background and do not miss notifications. This is more part of microsoft. Facebook for example do not use music api for notifications but those are way so bad, whats app in other hand works better. This will be fixed when Microsoft fix it.
Line wechat without the music API are working ok with notifications.. Whatsapp is using the music API just to keep the WiFi alive. With portico update the music API hack is not need it. Its whatsapp fault.. Don't blame Microsoft

Anyone tried the Xperia with Facebook feature in 5.1.1 Lollipop versions?
I've tried using it (Go to settings>accounts>add account>Xperia with facebook) it loads for a while but it returns to the menu and nothing happens. I wondered if it changed because I just checked it out a few days after flashing a new stock ROM.
bump. anyone tried this feature? does it work properly for you?
anyone kind enough to check it out for me?
It is nothing special. You just press "Like" to sony mobile page on Facebook and it synchronizes your Facebook events with your Calendar and viceversa. That's all it does.

This feature bloat is completely pointless. On stock ROM, this is one of the many things I remove from my device. If you're going to share on Facebook, use the website.

Facebook compresses your uploaded images regardless of what platform you use - Android app, IOS app, Sony app, website, etc. It doesn't make sense how the Xperia extension somehow uploads a higher quality than through the website. Besides, if the extension is truly hit-and-miss like you said, why are you still using it?

I'll admit, I've never tried it. However, I used GNOME Facebook integration that works similarly to the Xperia plugin on the Linux desktop. Long story short, it was littered with problems, so I just use the website. No issues so far.

I meant to say it did the job when it was still working before Lollipop or this version, plus it did more than that, like sync contacts and whatever although I did not really put it into much use.
