Hi,after getting caught in a clockworkmod bootloop i thought id try reflashing.
But after many many many attempts including using the Lg recovery im still stuck on this screen.
Sorry the picture isnt very clear, but to me it looks like boot info. And the phone just gets stuck on this screen after every attempted flash.
No one else seems to have had this specific problem (yet).
Which make me wonder if this is really well and truly bricked.
Sorry couldnt add the picture, not enough posts. But after any flash i do,the phone reboots and i just get a blue screen full of green writing.
I was still caught in bootloops after the emergency LG firmware flash, I sent my phone back to Europe for repair because there is no support for the phone here in the US
When. I bricked my phone, it show a black screen with 4 keys keep brinking

Hey guys...
I am a newbie who successfully rooted & installed cognition
everything seemed fine until I flashed a theme called
"CirclesMod_SGS2_Cognition_107blue-signed"
When I turn on my phone, AT&T, cognition, and Galaxy S show up
and then the screen goes black and phone just vibrates once or twice in a while...
My phone DOES go into Downloading... screen
I am not sure what my situation is... I could not find anything like this in this forum.
Help this newbie solve the problem..?
Ok so im the only one this late...bear with me kus im on my phone and i cant refer you to links...first of all...if you CAN go into download there is nothing to worry about...search on xda for "odin one click" download the package once you find it. After run the application and plug in your phone in download mode..you will see that the computer has recognized your phone when in the app thre is a little yellow box in the top left corner...after that hit start in the app and wait for a while until it reboots back to stock..hope it helps

If you can get in to recovery you can just reflash that rom (assuming you have the .zip on your SD). Also its usually a good idea to have a stock them for your phone on your SD when you are trying out themes. Something in the framework isn't compatible, but if it really is a SGS II theme dosen't suprise me.
sigh.. i passed out and just fixed it
thanks guys!
going into recovery mode and reflashing the rom did it!

Have you tried flashing with ODIN? It should wipe your phone clean.
Could be you flashed a different phones ROM on your device.
Try wiping data and flashing another ROM(be sure it is for your phone).

If that was the case it would give him a nice bootloop or brick, meanwhile it works.. somewhat ;]
Youre right.....

Guys I am having a strange problem. Recently I got my motherboard replaced. It had v30c stock India. Next thing I did was flashed v20 patched so that I can flash custom Rom. After flashing it's stuck on lg logo. It didn't go to recovery also to format. Same thing happened when I tried to flash "pre izs" bins. But when I flash v30c India it flashes with no problem.
Any solution how to downgrade or get cwm support? I would also like to request the developers to see if they can make a tool to patch v30 bins since it's possible!!
Thanks in advance!
Digging a bit more in the forums I have seen many people with the same problem but couldn't find any answers.

I would instantly get it replaced again, if i was you. Sounds like a hardware failure. Redy had the same problem and still has got it...

hey, I have new friend happened..
Lol!! But the thing is it's working perfectly. Just that I get error with some other firmware. But if I flash v30c it works perfectly. So it's still the problem with motherboard??
Another thing the guy said that there are three motherboard compatible with ours. First is the original one which is compatible with p970 n p920 second is some cheaper one n third is from l7 or l5. And he had only one piece of the mother board left which I got for my mobile.

LG cost cutting? Same board design. Redy too can only use V30* based firmware. Return it and state the problem.
But... he has only one piece of the board. Either you're stuck with that problem or wait if they can get another board.
Thank you everyone for your quick answers!! yup that's what the guy said to me. It took three weeks for me to have my phone repaired And now again a problem! Then the service centre guy would order it from the inventory but it would take weeks!! Just one last doubt. How could this happen I mean is it that the main memory corrupted?

Could be. The history of what problem prompted you to send it to service center.
Redy's phone started with the Power Button problem. Manifested to not being able to flash any firmware except V30. Then the *Harlem shaking screen. As what he calls it.
EDIT: I saw that you are the one who replied to my post with a power button problem too. So it's a tell-tale sign.
Yup I had the same problem. Just that the flashing problem started after replacing the motherboard. It seems like it's quite a common problem of this phone like the power button issue. And just for the record I got my motherboard replaced in $40 (Rs.2200).

Hello all,
Since i've updated to official v20a the screen goes wild from time to time, it gets horizontal stripes that seems to not refresh while the other stripes do.
Its really wierd and i dunno what to do, I think i saw a similar post reporting this same problem a while ago but i cant seem to find it.
Thanks.
did you tried to reflash your kdz or factory reset ?

I've done a factory reset from the settings menu but i retained my root status so im thinking it wasnt really in dept, wasn't there another way of factory resetting the phone?
I say this because my phone has always been super slow and im thinking its some kind of system bug or something, and from what i can see the update to jb did close to absolutely nothing.
UPDATE: Its still bugged, the same thing as before even after the factory reset.
I've upgraded to v20a through PCSuite and not by "flashing .kdz"
UPDATE: Flashed v20a again through .kdz files, and reset from recovery and still it has the same bug.
seems like faulty hardware to me
It didn't happen before in ICS though
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
Yea that's the thing.. It didn't happen on ics, it was always laggy and with some breaks here and there but nothing like this.
I've successfully reverted back to ics and all seems Ok for now, it sucks cause I was really getting used to JB.

If you don't have a hardware problem with ICS you don't have it too in JB...
Use the LGFlash Tool and the files posted in nr 7, in thread "rollback..." All files are official euro_open.

Striped screen on Lg optimus 4x hd
Hi !, New to this forum , been reading for a while though and first of this forum is really helpfull!
I got the same problem here only its more rare, it only seems to happen trying to get out of standby , And when it get's striped its possible to even get it working normal again by spamming the screen on and off by pressing the power button.
I also found the striped screen happens less when i turn force hw overlays off.
I confirm this is only in 4.1.2 update and not in ICS , ics was not laggy to me though , I've tried the (Euro open) both leaked and official one from lg, Flashed with KDZ and Lg Suite about 6 times it stil occasionaly have the striped screen.
i went to twrp recovery and i left there my phone 2-3 mins after i reeboted i noticed 2 thickish transparent vertical line at my screen and the whole screen vibrating a bit :SS i tried to remove battery for severeral hours didnt noticed any change :/ any idea? or any chance to get my phone back to its default state to get my warranty or no chance to do that after unlocked bootloader? help pls im in mayor panic
