Attention! Operation with the engineering menu can break your device!
Use this for your one risk
you need to push on your dialer *#*#197328640#*#*, it`s will take you to engeniring menu.
* To adjust the speaker volume, select item 3 and enter the SPEAKER all the same.
further claim 2 RX value
further claim 1 Rx Codec / Volume
further claim 1 click "menu", select the Key Input and enter a number from 1 to 12
I advise you not to change the negative, because way to enter a negative number is not found
Important!
If you want to undo the changes made - choosing the right section of the menu item "Rebuild these values"
Try from market app called Volume+ it's great .

I'm looking to boost system volume. Even this app wasn't enough. Maybe the speaker is just weaker than i anticipated thus the headphone jack.
Audio boost here and Free!!! (pay donate if u want)
Ive looked around and found one that can increase yr volume its called Galaxy Tuner, on android market, maybe for Galaxy phs i dont know just try it, but to get the volume use the equalizer! use slider 100db 80-90% up for a bit more bass, but manly use these 2 sliders 875db and 2400db to round 70% any more will just distort sound, it will be a bit more tinny sound but louder great for shap noises like bird ring tones or sounds like sirens etc just play around but dont go max its crappy distortion! and u can save setting under what ever name! NOTE: using head phones will sound better, but make a setting "For Head Phones" and a setting "For External Speaker"
I was just wondering if there is a mod or perhaps a kernel that addresses the poor audio volume you get when playing a youtube video or anything involving the speaker on the rear of the phone. I strain just to hear the audio. Ringtones sound okay but video playback is almost worthless as I have to hold the phone up to my head half the time just to hear it.

+1 x 1000
Same on mine (and also on S2 ICS builds i noticed).
For some reason Samsung have changed the default ICS behaviour of linked Ringer and Notification volumes, and split them...but not given us a tick box to link them if we want.
There are many apps out there written for ICS that can split the volumes, but we need one that links them! Audio Manager for example which did a great job for me on GB, doesnt give the option on Samsung ICS to link (because ICS is SUPPOSED to be linked).
I find it annoying that turning my volume down by the rockers leaves my notifications blasting out at 100%.
Is there some kind kind dev in here that could write an app (or hack) to relink the volumes? Please. Pretty please.
Installed an app called "quick settings". once installed, the volume of my notification and my ringtones linked automaticlly. So sad that the only function useful of the app. Wasting space but no choice.

After you installed this, you do the volume +- in the app, it will +- your both ringtone and notification alart tone at the same time. Cant do the +- with the physical key though. Still this is the best way i can find so far.

I tseted it with 3 headphones and everytime the same.
Before it was working very good. I am at rooted stock xxlqe.
What can i do?
Sry for my english

Well in my case this was headphones issue. Stock ones or one cheap pair without mic were both 'just ok' when maxed volume on android. Those got broken and I have bought pair from sony - still not high end as I do not need high end - that mid one is perfect and now I am using 10 - 50% range on volume control - higher is too loud in general and peaks are over transmission chart for them so sound gets distorred.
Btw check sound controls on youtube and on android - maybe youtube flash player controlls were lowered by accident.

Try it!
I use Pac rom and very helpful.
You do not have to press call volume up and down!
In call Low Volume Fix
Tasker does not have to!
Use the automagic Automation, as shown in the pictures.
Good luck

works good on S3 mini with maclaw 10.1 rom. I notice only 1 issue: after applied the patch when you make a call the volume is high and good enough, but if you switch audio to the external speaker the volume come back to original low sound and remains low even if you switch back to internal speaker.
Any idea?
cheers!
