Does Google Goggles work on Froyobread? I used to use it on Floyo 0.30 and it worked just fine, but I've installed it again (with Froyobread now) and it's frozen on the analyzing screen... Froyobread doesn't support it?

I am using froyobread v22 and google map 5.8 works ok. only thing is to turn on wifi or 3g data after every reboot.
I suppose it is a small bug.
It happens to me when there is no internet connection. Check your Wi-Fi or data.
Both wi-fi and data traffic are on, but it still doesn't change a single thing: it's freezing at the analyzing screen... my froyobread version is 20
1st ensure you can surf internet.
If can surf, then try installing latest FB v23b and try again.
Remove the cache of map and street view may help.
V023b here. Same here. Goggles freeze at analyzing screen. It has worked in the past on previous FB v.
If you download google goggles from the market it should work perfect.My x8 Google maps works with wifi/data offline

Why are you talking about maps? I used goggles from the market on FB and it crashed. Anyway I now use GingerDX. It works on this rom.
On GingerCruz rev7 i dont have problems with apps.

No pm. He won't answer anyway. Use GINGERDX.
Did you try fullwipe before upgrading to v023b?
I only support Xperia Active Launcher from v022 to v023. All other codes are unchanged, so there should be no problem using other apps.

Yes I do full wipe anytime I flash an update or a new rom. Not sure with wich version of FroyoBread Goggles has stoped working as I don't use it so much. Anyway I use GDX now. Wonderfull rom and Goggles works fine on it. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

I did fullwipe too, and google goggles is not working for me too actually i did a full flash to 2.1 using SEUS when i installed v021, then when i installed v023b did a fullwipe.
hope you could release 1 Final Version of FroyoBread fix some apps and mostly updates apps installed

working partially in FB 023b
Hi,
I'm using Froyobread 023b and google goggles does work but partially.
For instance, if I take pictures of text or QR codes it does work.
But, if I take a picture of an image (artwork or logos) it will freeze in analyzing.
IMO, the picture quality is playing us, since our phone does not support autofocus.
Could anyone confirm artwork detection in previous versions of FB?

Just formatted my SD Card, did a full wipe and installed FroyoBread v023b, and then Full Wiped again, and Google Goggles isn't working yet, I can't even use the text detection like mimorqleko does.
Since I won't update to GingerDX yet, is there any fix for this?

I was using data2ext4 from TGF and I never lost something from it even if I've flashed alot of nightlies. The point is that, flashing a new ROM does not wipe data2ext partition (only if you format it yourself). So if you don't wipe before everything should be preserved including data2ext. Eventualy you should re-enable data2ext by using ADB command : "data2ext --enable".
What I usually do is just flash the new ROM, flash after that TGF's script and when I boot I have data2ext4 active and all content is there. If you use a different data2ext then I don't know. You should ask the developer of that
What's the best way to get unlimited app storage on Cyanogen 7.1?
I'm using S2E and it seems to work well, but I don't know if it's the best or fastest way.

Rc4b commes pre-overclocked, did you overclock cm7.1 to match clockspeeds of rc4b before testing?

Hi Im using the older version - not RC4 - sorry.
It's manually clocked down to 600MhZ with setcpu.
I'm sure it needs some tweaks - I'll give it another try. It's cool that it's possible to easily switch between the OSses -thanks to Clockwork Mod! ;-)

Sorry about that coz I am quite new on android and juz bought a cheap second hand legend phone...
I had installed this ROM and the speed is quite smooth...but when I launch the android market, it says that I need to add an account to the device to continue...then, I proceed to go to Account under Settings to add my gmail account but it only allows me to add an Exchange account only...is there anyway for me to add my gmail account?

Yes, there is a way to add gmail account.
You are now ready to install CyanogenMod on your phone. Instructions adapted from The UnLockr.
Download the latest version of CyanogenMod.
Optional: Download the Google Apps for the device.
Put your phone in Disk Drive mode. Copy the CyanogenMod (and Google Apps if applicable) zips to the root of your sdcard/
Optional: Install the Google Apps by performing the preceding step again and choosing the Google Apps file.
Once again.. here you go.

trouble with twitter apps
I has something troubles with any Twitter apps on this version of CM. After installation any app (twidroyd, ubersocial, native twitter etc.) couldn't connect to twitter server. Actually twitter working properly by the internet browser (standard).
P.S. CM 7.1 was been installed without gapps package over the previous stable. Still Android market is working OK

You probably just answered yourself ;d
Install CM7.1 WITH wiping data/factory, then your problem should be gone
Some details. I has nandroid backup of my user data All required operations (and maybe more than) was been done: wipe all data n factory reset, wipe dalvik n battery stats. After installation I try to restore user data from nandroid backup, but unfortunately something looks like wrong. Is anyone's compass working on Google Maps while using Onecosmic's ICS RC3 Rom? My Compass is working in a Compass App and in MapDroyd.. but in Google Maps, it doesn't.
Can anyone suggest a fix? I've already replaced the networklocation.apk (which fixed the Compass App from force closing).

Use a version of maps before 6.0 and it will work, for some reason google has done something to maps that has broken compass on AOSP based roms.

I have the same, is really annoying me.. Another apps that requires location do not work.

This is Google Maps 5.12, the last one that had a working compass.. It should work
The login failed error happens because of permissions.. but I got a triangle in the notification bar on my phone, and clicked allow for about 3 different things.

Here's my current theory, I'm thinking maybe 6.0 and up is looking for the barometer (helps find your location apparently) which isn't in our phone, which is a new feature of the Galaxy Nexus.... which is somehow stuffing the compass for us..... perhaps maps 6.0 thinks our phone is a galaxy nexus .
Might be totally wrong though

I just had this problem (on a different rom). After using Maps-5.12 as a workaround for months, I finally discovered that the compass will work on the newer versions of Maps if auto-rotation is enabled.

I am from Singapore and I am new to this forum . I just installed the new Zeus v7 ROM however I am unable to get my google play account connected via mobile network. Google play works fine on wifi tough.
From research , I understand that this might be due to sim location. However I have installed market enabler but the problem still persist . Could any kind forumer guide me along? Thank u

I also from SG. Use my mercuryos. Zues v7 is not really good in our country. Especially orchard road no signal...

I flash gapps again but still same
Prob. However when I tried the cm9 ics, I was able to access market but no whatsapp connectivity. Looks like some bad luk for me
is your apn correct? cos for M1, usually for me after flashing a rom it sets itself to m1gsm or sth.. need to select sunsurf..... or the other way is to install the apn app called tweakker.... run the app get the new apn and delete the preinstalled apn and reboot

I had the same issue like you but then I found GingerDX , install it with unlocked bootloader with Alfs 9 kernel and use link2sd...
That's it.

please try Xperia Soul IV Beta . it works on stock kernel but it is very fast and stable.if unlocked bootloader, please install GingerDX 029.
the first is very clean,fast and excellent for daily use.:good:

if you want your current ROM to be fast as the Fresh install!
Don't Download big apps from Playstore like FB app FB messenger and Viber because downloading data always reduce our system performance
only try to Download important and small apps like Opera mini and your purchased app!
if freeware you can search it in Google and download and install via SD card!
reduce the download from the Playstore. as much as you can.

Just installed apk, no problem here. The only thing I cant manage to get working is google contacts and dialer. Keyboard, calendar, newsstand are working, inbox and gmail also.

do you have an xperia Z1 or a nexus?
Can you create recurring events? On my phone lollipop cal crashes when I do.
Xperia z1, it had crashed, but i have found another apk and reinstaled it. its working now. x1 with locked bootloader, and Ihackers 5.2 rom. Rooted, too.

I have original stock sony rom, but am rooted.
to install the calendar hade to
1. Aply lucky patcher
2. edit build.prop ro userdebug
3. install as normal apk
but recurribng events do not work and crashes the app.
