Looks like the streak 7 wifi 2.2 .2 update package. I got to this page while searching for my warranty information. You will probably have to sign in to your account. Hope this helps.

I've been having problems with 2.2 not mounting data after restoring with NVFlash, but maybe since the bootloaders and kernel are at 2.2, maybe this can help me restore
That's for the streak 5, it's very old and wont work on the s7
Well, in that case, I'm going to cancel my download. It was halfway finished, and I had some hope :-(
Dell needs to make their site less confusing. I was directed there from my streak 7 account while searching for downloads and drivers. Although it does say download & drivers for tablet Streak. Sorry about the confusion

nope, no 2.2.2 update. its for the streak 5. Just got off the phone with dell and there are no external update links for the 7. So lame, they wanted me to send it in for repair...F that.

Is it possible to take the DS7 SIM and place it in a unlocked 4G T-Mobile Phone and just use the Data?
I just want to make sure this is possible before purchasing a 4G phone.
I would think so since you can't call the streak...but I don't know if it would restrict ur outbound....I'm not really that smart just takin a stab at it

It should work, phone calls won't work in or out as they are disabled completely on the network end. In terms of the data I have no way to test it as I'm using my streak on wifi only
Sent from my Dell Streak 7 using XDA Premium App
It will not work in either direction.
I have a rooted G2 on CM7 and the sim card out of it will not work in my S7, as for the sim card out of my S7 will not work in my G2 either.
It asks to log into my google account and says there is an authentication error.
On the S7 it will direct you in a browser to tmobile's website asking if you to sign up for a prepay plan.
That was my experience. If there are any other suggestions I am more than happy to try for you.

Really? I put my sim with a 4G 39.99 Dell Streak month plan in my girls hacked HD2 running Android and it worked fine, i could even text. I created a new Google account and everything all worked well. Once I tested it to verify it worked correctly she stuck in her T-Mobile Android Phone Sim from her Cliq and off she was. I stuck the Sim back in my Dell and everything worked as if I didn't even take it out. Of course the Dell and HD2 are hacked so i am not sure if this affects anything.

One disadvantage of doing that, the hd2 with the dell streak data plan loses the ability to roam off network. It's t-mobile native network or nothing. Not even t-mobile affilliates like i wireless (who have aws 3g running) are allowed.
Could someone running the wifi only rom tap menu/settings/about/systemupdates and post the URL for me. I'm running streakdroid and when I look for an update it's for the tmo rom. I assume wifi only streaks would get the ota updates sooner, but I can't check as long as I'm on Steve's tmo based rom. And yes, the likelihood of a dell update is dim at best. But can't blame a Guy for trying. Thanks in advance

I just ordered a Wi-Fi only S7. Can I add the radio to get cell service on it? Thanks. And sorry if this was posted before. I did search.
I highly doubt it unless a lot of work is going to be put into this which wouldnt be worth the time in my opinion

The wifi updatehas been out for two days now. Couldnt get it through check updates. Followed another link from the forum. I think 4g can be gotten the same way.
anyone have a link so we can ping the f4ck out of it.. lol
is this the correct one... http://mobileupdate.dell.com/landingPages/LG7/dell US/uptodate/en/index.html ...??
Folks,
Here is the US WiFi download official link
http://mobileupdate.dell.com/?version=GLUNB1A334430
I really hope the 4G gets it, but based on everything to this point, really don't think it will. T-Mobile does not want the headache... Again, hope I'm wrong...
Still nothing for my US wifi model GLUNB1A133830... I know i could update it with the other wifi number link, but i want to see if it eventually comes & also figure out why this OEM wifi version was last if possible.
yeah im waiting for GLUNB1A133830 too i know i can just update it manually but I'd much rather be safe than sorry. If I don't get an update notification today I will end up installing it manually, because I really cant wait any longer.

Hey did you buy your 7 direct from dell or a retail store amazon, staples etc?
Its been out for a couple days now.
Also the kernel just got released as well, so if you are really patient, a certain developer will have an overclock capable version out soon.
I bought mine off Amazon.

Yep you think that they were just older builds that sat around for a while?

I just used the link from FredOak3 to upgrade and had no problems. Most of my installed apps were still there after the update. Now I have Honeycomb on my Streak 7 and I'm happy. Thanks for the link FredOak3
So no one has seen the T-Mobile 4G update yet?

I have no idea & i'd like to know, but i'll tell you this, when i put my service tag into the support page for drivers & software, it points me to the streak 5 stuff instead of the 7's
Myself saw a lot of posts and people asking if it works for US Tmo 4G users.
Here is my confirmation
YES it works for me using the method below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286295&page=1
And a quick instruction is here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286295&page=8
Credit goes to author of the above two post.
I just confirm that, following the method above, my Tmobile DS7 is still able to use TMobile 3G network and my wifi is working as well.
But 4G network is not, or at least not shown at lower right corner as "4G", like I even care because HSPA is barely 4G. Just a faster 3G
what kind of speeds do you see though? noticeable decrease??
No. Not at all!

I downloaded the .zip from the first link and followed the instructions and can confirm that it works. However I do not have a data plan on my DS7, so I cannot confirm cell connectivity/speed. In froyo there would be a cell signal strength indicator, but I see none of that here. There is the option to receive cell data or roam.
This version of Honeycomb is a bit more refined than Honeystreak (no offense intended) there seems to be no issue with resolution or screen size in either orientation.
Now, to get all my apps back...
I dont kno how to use cmw.

Woah, if you don't have a data plan, then you DON'T know if hc will work with T-Mobile data. The fact that there is no wireless icon info ndicates it most likely will work on WiFi only.
Can you change the title of your thread? It is misleading. Yes, you can flash, but people want to know that their T-Mobile data will connect with the WiFi hc update.

Nor my thread - I am just responding to the OP. Additionally, the title says the ROM works with T-Mo DS7s, which is true. Just that I personally cannot confirm cell data.
If you read the first couple of posts, you'll see that the OP confirms normal cell service.

For the moment I'm holding on. Really, except for battery life, Froyo is working very well, and lots of apps work on this version. The OP indicates the manual update process does provide cell service, so I may go ahead and try. I always like the latest!
I'm going through some issues with dell right now. I bought this S7 from an XDA user, and apparently he bought it from someone else, because his name is not in the dell computer as the original owner. So I have to find out the original information so I can call them about updates after they transfer ownership.
Us wifi zip
Again,I used it for abday to bear mountain,GPS is working, wifi is working, 3g cell.is working and seems to me only not showning '4g'at lower right corner, instead, showing 3g
