3G Data Connection Problem - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have cm7 and kernel glitch and when i enable the 3g connection it doesn't work...What's the problem?

For start you can't toggle 2g/3g in cm7 whilst radio active and have you tried different modems?

I can tick/untick 2g toggle and the radio i don't know because i don't have the genuine headsets...I didn't try different modems because i don't know what modem to install(anything?)...

Can anyone help me?

By radio I meant modem!

Hey dude.. if your carrier use 850mhz for 3g, you need to put a modem (radio) whit 850mhz support.
What is your carrier?

Modem question

Hi I am new to the galaxy note I am more used to HTC. Can you tell me the modem files ate they the same as the radio files of the HTC handsets, such as I can be on any room and just change the modem till I find one which best suits my signal in my area

Modem = Radio, same thing.
Modem is completely independent of your Rom/kernel.
You can flash ICS modems on GB Roms and vice-versa.
Is there any where where all the modems are and also how to flash
Thanks

Cyanogenmod P925 or P920

hey, I want to try Cyanogenmod but i dont know if I should use the one for P925 or P920 because i heard something about ghost calls, and losing your data connection randomly, and some SIM usage if I use the P920 version. But im also on At&t stock gingerbread, and I know that the cyanogenmod P925 rom is based off of the froyo baseband? Can someone give me a suggestion or advice? Im kind of a noob >_<

You'll have to use P920.
P925 CyanogenMod - FroYo Baseband
P920 CyanogenMod - Gingerbread Baseband
ok, any disadvantages though? like the ones mentioned above?

CyanogenMod will auto provision to whatever the provider/SIM is as best it can. Should it fall though just do a search for "(carrier name) apns"and you should find what you're looking for.

I had ghost call issues when I was running CM7 on my Thrill and that is the reason why I switched back to Thrill Seeker. Other than the ghost call issues CM7 runs awesome on the phone and works great.
thanks nice so masca

[Q] 3G/Internet problem

My phone can't have a 3G connection. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace on Cyanogenmod7.
But before I flash CM7, the 3G is working. I have also noticed that the checkbox "Use Packet Data" is already gone.
Any recomendations?
