[Q] Can't send SMS / Text Message

Hi all,
Just got my new SGS...
One small problem: can't send sms messages. Did correct the SMSC number in Messaging application (+27829129).
But, when I use "*#*#4636#*#*" to check the SMSC, I get a completely wrong number.
The same sim card work fine on previous HTC Touch pro.....
Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

did this happen after you updated your phone?
i had the same prob, i had to wipe the phone to get it to work again.

Can you receive text?
Talk to your wireless service provider before you jump the gun and wipe everything.
When I had an issue with sending text (not receiving), my provider sent me a special text (with some settings). It fixed my sending issue.

Did a factory reset and everything worked.
THEN, used SMS Backup and restore to restore all my old SMSes - and it stopped working again.
Seems as if there is a bad "SMS" somewhere in the sms store....
Deleted all messages and everything is working 100%.

i only on rogers with the i9000m
i sent a text this morning....but now that everytime i try to send something it said failed....
so i have to do a factory reset?

Guys I have an issue too, I still can't send any messages, I am on 4.1.2 REMICS, I even flashed old 2.3.6 JVU and it didn't work on it too. Do I have to call my provider and ask him for the instructions?

[Q] Whatsapp Problem

Hello everyone,
while installing the whatsapp, i encountered this error msg it says:
initialization failed pls check ur internet connection.. however i have tried using wifi and 3g... both doesnt seems to work.. i can't go beyond entering name.. pls help and thanks in advance.

[Q] LG Optimus Black internet problem

Well recently i bought a LG Optimus Black, at the begining internet and all worked just fine, and now suddenly i cant connect to internet.
I am able to connect to a wifi network, but 3g wont work, how can i fix this?
Every opptions are right.
I tried the same sim card in Samsung GalaxyS2 and some other phone, it works fine. So it has nothing to do with the SIM.

try to configure your 3g network, look for it on the internet.
i only had this problem when i install NOVA ROM, but it was easy to solve the problem.

I have tried but not helping.

Is it running on Stock ROM or NOVA?
Just like lucasmalaguti said, this problem happens only on custom ROMS.
Anyway, just check your settings.
Settings > Wireless & Network > Mobile Network > Access Point Names
Search on the internet or ask your provider for the setting configuration.
Also, if you have a few Access points, Eg. MobileInternet1 & MobileInternet2, make sure the right one is checked.
Download APN Backup & Restore app from market to delete and re-add Access Point.
Once edited/add, reboot phone for changes to take effect.

I'm running a stock V10E ROM
My APN settings are OK (sent from my provider)
Tried to manually add it, but nothing helps

Today i called LG Service support.
They say that i am not the only one with this problem.
The problem seems to be caused by automatic software update (V10A => V10E).
Only solution is to reflash ROM.
So i did that and now everything works fine.

Had same issue, thought it was the carrier but it could be the phone, hope this helps
1. turn off your OB and take the sim off
2. test the sim's 3g on some other phone
If it's working
3. put it back in your OB = problem solved
It it's not working
3. call your service provider

[Q] [rooted] samsung galaxy ace s5830 wifi fix

i am facing a mainstream problem with my phone wifi. i had searched all the forums but i dint get any solution good enough to solve my problem.
my problem is i had reset my phone with the stock os and kernel and rooted it afterwards with odin. then when i try to connect to a proxy wifi network, using proxy droid,
1)the browser works but the apps dont work
2)maps is also not working, it says dat it needs a working internet connection.
3)my google account cant establish a secure connection.
what solutions i have tried,
1) hard resetting my phone
2) flashing the stock rom.
3) youtube google login
i am not able to recognise the problem please help. thanks assured....

I have a question, is there any way to configure the APN for the data to connect automatically? I use cm11 and to receive and send MMS have to manually bind the data.

I'm also facing this problem. This stated to happen by January and affects CM10.2 and 11. I've read somewhere that it is new Android policy but stock firmwares aren't affected... Has somebody fixed that?
