Do LED-Notifications work for you in GingerDX?
In my phone they don't seem to work?!
They work for me
it seems they got messed up somehow? if i set them in cyanogensettings they at least work once (means they blink 1 time)?
just did a full wipe and the problem persists ...
e.g.: missed call: screen goes off, led blinks once green and then stops blinking, but is supposed to blink red?
i have same problem, LED just blinks at once..
Had no problem with any LED notifications to date on any rom, just wish I could change the the charging light. >_<

You can set how much it blinks by changing that specific setting in blink rate.
by changing the blink rate it just changes the "speed" of blinking?
Ginger DX v21 LED Notifications don't work
Edit: Never Mind! Night-time notification toggle was on!
I installed Ginger DX with a full wipe. The LED notifications don't work, although the LED lights up while charging.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Last night my tackball was notifying me perfectly fine.
I charged my phone over night, woke up this morning and responded to a text message (the light was blinking) and went back to sleep.
I woke up two hours later to a text and email and the trackball was not blinking and no longer does for any notifications (text, email, kik).
I've gone into settings and disabled/reenabled "Pulse notification light" and reset the phone to no avail. The LED physically works because it flashes white upon boot up, but for some reason it's not lighting up for notifications.
Running stock 2.3.3 unrooted
Solutions?
after a restore the notification light blinks repeatedly only if the screen is off. if you get the notification while the screen is on it doesn't go off at all.
once you turn the screen on (if you just flash it on and off), even if you don't unlock the phone and pull down the notification screen, the notification blinking stops completely.
pulse notification light is still checked...
Hi, after upgrading my BS from android 4.2.2 to 4.3 (Stock Rom), I noticed that there is no notification light blinked for messages, missed calls or any other event...

Working for me. Could be hardware problem. Get it checked by HTC.
notification lights work perfectly when i am not charging the phone at the same time...
however, when i charge the phone via usb, the notification stay lit the whole time as battery charging indication...
kinda wishes that the notification light would blink when new sms come in while charging...
If it is hardware issue, then why charging light is on while on charge and green when it charged? which is working perfect...
Same problem
Hi, i am having the same problem here. I believed i am using the LTE version of the HTC Butterfly S 901S Variant. I updated my phone to 4.3 and Sense 5.5 a few days ago and since then, my phone stopped receiving green LED notification for messages, missed call and other events. Before the update, my LED light was working normally. However, when i plug in my phone to a charger, the solid orange coloured LED lights up. It works fine when charging and my LED notification flashes when my battery is below 10 % (which is normal) . However, it just refuse to show any LED light when there is incoming notification. Anyone know what's the problem? Software issue? My phone's bootloader is still locked and i did not root my phone. Is anyone else having this issue?
Hey guys,
for those who have 4.3 Android,
1) how does your Auto-Brightness work? I know it wasnt working in the previous update but concerning 4.3 it seems that it still does not work.... When I am outside or in a dark room the brightnes is not changing at all
2) LED notifications in the Stamina MODE - when I choose red colour for missed calls, it keeps flashing white!! The same goes for my SMS notif. still keeps flashing white in spite of the fact I set yellow colour.
However, when I click the power button (and the screen waits for the unlock) it starts flashing in my selected color....but the moment I turn off my phone, the colour is changed to white.
LED and auto brightness workink perfectly on CE1
thats weird... I have abolutely no idea why my auto-brightness feature doesnt work... And why my LED notifications are white...
Auto-brightness after running some tests on dark rooms and bright lighted rooms its fixed a lot!
Takes some time to reduce - adjust the brightness but atleast it works
I didn't test led though...
(Using AU FTF File)

What firmware do you have? If I miss a call, the first led light is the color that I choose and after that is white (with STAMINA mode enabled). Without Stamina it's ok.

try this method !
turn off Stamina!
change colors to defaults white , white ....
restart your phone
then power on Stamina and change colors!
and no reboot ! report back!
Problem solved... I just did the factory reset and reinstal the last 4.3 firmware via PC Companion a there is no white colour anymore...
However, the auto-brightness feature still does not work...
I flashed blisspop 4.0.3 and noticed that it turns the led light on when the phone powers off. Any ideas to fixb this?
And why doesn't my led light come on when a notification is there?

sounds like something that you should ask in that roms thread, as thats where youll find your answer.
I got my R1 HD recently. After I set up everything I noticed that when the screen is off, no matter whether I received an email, a sms or a missed call, the LED light just didn't flash. The phone did notify by sound and I can see items in status bar when I turn on the screen.
I looked at everything in the Settings, but couldn't find anything wrong. I called R1 representative and he said he never heard such issue before.
Then I ordered a replacement from Amazon and it arrived today. You know what, same thing happened! No LED light for notification. Just sound notification.
The only time I know there is an LED light is when I charge the phone (red) or when it's fully charged (green).
Has anyone seen such issue before? I greatly appreciate the help!
The LED can really only display red and green as when they are both on the red greatly overpowers the green so the color combination is not detectable. Lightflow can control which apps have access to the LED and which color to display. The LEDs are either on or off - no brightness levels. I have also not been able to get the LED to blink on notifications and suspect that this is also a hardware limitation of the phone. I've been quite disappointed in the LED notification capabilities. There are a couple of other threads about the notification light in the Blu forums here if you search
Thanks for the reply! I did try Lightflow, but it didn't help. In test mode or real mode, what I got was just a status bar notification, no LED.

I did have to change some settings for it to work with the Blu phone.
These are the settings I am using that allow apps to turn on the LED:
Under General settings, the following are checked:
Enable Light Flow
Show LED in priority mode
Device Admin
Enable Clear all
Accessibility check
Version upgrade reminder
Under Device settings and root, the following are checked:
Direct mode
Root mode
Run every command as root
Show LED with screen on
Nexus 5 force LED reset
I also have light flow enabled under settings->accessability and lightflow has root permission in supersu.
Oh so I have to root the phone? I just called Blu customer service, and they told me I need to do a factory reset..
Try it and let us know what happens, please. Some phones require root and others don't. I reflashed and rooted and xposed mine before I did anything else so I don't know if it works without root or not.
Solved! Did a hard reset (not factory data reset thru Settings) by pressing power button and volume up together to enter the recovery menu. I cannot believe Amazon/Blu missed such an important step that the customer has to do it by themselves..
Same here bit in a Blu vivo 5R in this case.
So... I need to execute a Factory Reset? And then appears the option for LED notification And works.
Hi ! I did buy a BLU VIVO XL2. No LED activity for notifications. I have the options for LED behavior (Settings/Advanced Settings/Under Hardware title, LED indicator, Notification Reminder ON but green LED never flashes when expected. Factory Reset tried: I used Volume Up & Power Button to get recovery menu. There, I took a backup (SD storage, no compression, several chunks of data). After that, I selected Factory Reset. When rebooted, Google did his automatic restore of phone. After that, I tried Restore from Recovery menu, but a msg informed backup was corrupted, so, I did get a full Factory Reset status, with my phone memory user data lost. NO LED Notifications working after all these actions !!!!! . LED is alive, when reporting Power status, so it is not HW damaged. I will keep fighting to get my LED notification activity working... Regards, Norberto !!!
Try the free version of LightFlow from the play store. It will allow you to test and turn individual notifications on or off. The light can on display red and green colors and the red is very much brighter than the green. Mine turns flashing red when I miss a phone call on the Blu R1 HD>
Hi !! Thnx yaconsult. I did try free & legacy, unsuccessfully. Have a good day !!
I guess the Vivo works differently, then. The notification light works ok on my R1. If I miss a call, I get a blinking red light.
