Anything different with the Voodoo you're planning on including? I've been using Voodoo Beta5 for some time now on various 2.2 ROM's...I've got it installed with sXe v4 Beta...no troubles to report.
AWESOME!
Thanks so much, downloading and flashing now!

Back to stock - optimized kernel proved unstable - I think you will find this is Frickin' Fast!
I'm running obsidian 4.2 with the ULF. Will the ULF cause any problems while flashing? Do I need to take any special steps/precautions? I typically to a factory reset/wipe from CW and then flash the rom of choice (backup is a given). This is my first time flashing a new rom after using the ULF though so i'm unsure.

Your usual steps are what I would have suggested anyway.
Damn it, just downloaded, flashed and setup the Azura 2.1 this morning and this comes out! There are a lot of good ROMs coming out. Now that 2.3 is out, hopefully some even better ROMs come out here the end of the year.

im thinking odin 3 will work if i have the right kernel and stock rom
I have read that Odin fails for some trying to flash stock from CM7, maybe has to do with the drivers and the fact CM7 doesn't use Samsung code. Use Heimdall to flash back.
Also as someone has posted you need Gapps in order to use any of the Google apps. It's in the OP for the CM7 installation instructions. I think you can install Gapps through ROM Manager, I don’t use CM7 myself so I am not 100% sure about how you install Gapps.

At the bottom of the odin one click op there is 2 stock firmware packages. Try either of those...
They include rom and kernel.
And since you're on cm7 you might have to install google drivers.

Do I need to explain the rom for you guys?
Original thread
DO NOT FLASH FROM CM7 OR MIUI!
Installation:
-Flash an i9000 based gingerbread rom.
-Download the darkyrom configurator from market.
-Tap flash kernel, modem, and wipe
-Start the flashing.
-Enjoy
Features:
-Based off of darkyrom 10.2
-JVP bullet kernel
-KB5 modem
-fixed home haptic feedback
-fixed volume keys
-fixed softkeys
The bootanimation app DOES NOT work. Nothing's wrong with the rom. It's just that our kernel does not support it.
GPS is not present in this rom.
Flash roman's GPS fix to get GPS functionality: http://www.multiupload.com/7NTP7RTCO9
EDT tweaks app lockscreens are mislabeled.

Since Cmenard kinda took a break, I'm looking for someone that can develop a vibrant JVR kernel or someone that can teach me how. PM me if you know anyone that has kernel experience.
Hit thanks please.

Just flashed like a normal ROM without the Darky app and flashe from BiWinning a FroYo ROM and worked flawlessly.
Okay. Here I go. I ported from toxic hero darky 9.5 and worked okay.
Problems and concerns:
1) Computer voice saying welcome to darky's rom. Doesn't fit in well at the office.
2) Bootloader app doesn't work. Please let me know how I can custom change the bootscreen by going into the files.
3) Multicolored lines running across the screen after Vibrant bootscreen but before Galaxy S screen
4) This needs BLOATER app from old Darky roms!!!!!!
Otherwise I think it's perfect. unbelievably fast.

I flashed through CWM becasue Darky app doesn't work for me, I don't know what might be the cause ...

Better battery life for most users.
I would definitely recommend upgrading to Gingerbread bootloaders on CM7. There was a noitceable improvement for me.

Fastest is up to you really.. You can make any JB ROM the fastest with mods.. Doesn't mean it will be stable or have the features you want though.
Like 4-2ndtwin said, try them. Also, go in their respective thread and read to see which one suits you the best.
As others mentioned in this thread, it's very subjective.

fresh flash, you'll need a few full battery cycles before it settles down.
Resetting your battery stats can help too.
