Im trying to find a widget - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

that is similar to SMS unread count for notifications on emails. I dont use Gmail for my emails so this widget is no good for me. Is there a widget that lets you use K-9 Mail?

go launcher + their notification app can count your k-9 mail.

Thanks, but I am using ADW Launcher EX so I was hoping I could just stick with that.

Launcher Pro ??? Gmail

Has anyone got the stock email app to work with Launcher Pro, meaning I can check my emails, and I can have it notify me of an email in the notification bar, but I cannot get it to post the number of unread email in green like it use to do on the envelope. Now I know some of you will say download the unread Gmail app, but when you do that and open the emails it does not open it in the stock app, which is what I want as it shows the full email body and replies like the web base one, I have also put the red Gmail icon in the dock station and set the settings to notify on the dock station and works fine, but I want the stock email to do that either on the home screen or the dock, any suggestions anyone
Under Preferences / Dock Settings there is an option to display Unread Gmail Count
I is checked marked but does not work with the native app

[Q] Message Notifications on Docked Email Icon

Is there a way to have a numerical notification for unread messages like the iPhone or WM phones have? On both the others there is an email icon at the bottom that will show a number on it with the number of unread messages in the inbox. Can this be done in some format on the Captivate either with the stock shell or Android or with an add on app? All I get now is a small generic notification on the top info bar for new emails, but no details. Thanks.
Assuming you are using TouchWiz, then since the icon bar at the bottom will only accept applications, and not widgets: not with TouchWiz. I can't speak for anything else.
I use gmail, and it's notifications tell me how many I have, so again I can't speak to the default email client.
If you use LauncherPro (free in the market) as a replacement launcher then there is the option to show the number of missed calls, unread texts and unread emails (gmail only) on the corresponding dock icons.
Thanks. I am new to Android and still using TouchWiz and have not yet had a chance to arrange for third party apps. I will try LauncherPro when I can.
You can use SMS unread count widget (free) and that will give you one for sms, email and missed call.
Wahoo I could finally help being and android noob lol

How to get # notification on text and mail icons for Gingerbread roms?

Hey guys, just wondering if there is a way to get the number of notifications listed on the icon like in Sense roms? I am using Typhoon's CM7 rom.
Do you mean a notification icon that says how many text messages you have? If so, you can get gosms or similar text message app from the market. A lot of them do this.

What launcher are you using? If you have ADW, I think you need ADW notifications from market. Same goes for Go launcher. I am not sure about launcher pro.
Adw, then get "adw notifier"
Launcher pro has it already

Go Launcher + Go Notifications is another possibility.
If you want a standalone widget you can try SMS Unread Count from market. Works for SMS, Calls and GMail.

Email widgets and unread badges

Anyone find a way to get the unread message badges on the email widget when using separate widgets for each account? This was available on the stock email widget in JB 4.1.2 on my droid m. Seems they took it out on the moto x.
I have look at both nova and apex launcher don't seem to have this capability.
Thanks in advance.
Nova and Tesla unread let's me get badges.

Do you have two separate email accounts setup as widgets?

Nova Launcher and Notification Bubble Icons

I use Nova Launcher Prime instead of TouchWiz for my default home screen/launcher. I can't seem to figure out how to get the notification bubbles to work with all apps like Email and Facebook. Facebook had never shown the notification number bubble, email had been buggy. I have installed MissedIt! for use with nova launcher but no luck. I haven't made any changes to the MissedIt! app other than installing it. Can anyone help? I like nova launcher but I would really like my Facebook bubble icon notifications to work as well as others. Thanks.

Have you installed Tesla Unread? That's all I've ever used with Nova and I've never had any problems. (I don't have facebook but the notification bubbles on all of my other apps work fine.)

I use MissedIt! as the unread app. I needed to create the application elements in MissedIt! and now they work as needed. Thanks for the help.
