[Q] T-Mobile HTC HD7 - HD7 General

I was wondering if any body can conform that the HTC HD7 from T-Mobile is a quad band phone? what does that mean? i am under the imppression that the phone is and it can connect to the following Radio types:
Europe
HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
Asia Pacific
HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
if yes, what ROM do i need to flash the phone with to get to HSDPA 850/1900 on a Rogers Network (Canada)once again thats if, the Radio can be manipulated with the installation of a defferent ROM from a Provider that supports HSDPA 850/1900 for their 3G . At this time i only get 2G,E and G.
If HTC decided to install different Radio antenna's to Provider specific ,that would not make sense since it mite cost more.

To install different radio or Rom it does not change nothing,Your problem is not Rom or radio issue,is hardware issue,Rogers wireless support 850/1900 MHz ! T mobil htc hd 7 support 900 / 2100 Mhz.

[Q] 3G capability of AT&T HD7S in UK

I've just bought a AT&T HD7S off ebay from a US seller and I'm in the UK. It's not until just now that I considered how it might perform in the UK. I see that the AT&T HD7S lists HSDPA: 850/1900 MHz as its 3g frequencies, while the UK HD7 lists HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz. Does this mean I won't be able to get 3g signal on UK networks? Does anybody have experience using a AT&T HD7S in the UK?
The HTC Help & How To page lists the following:
What bands does my device support?
GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
HSDPA/UMTS: 850/1900/1700(AWS)/1900/2100 MHz
But the Tech Specs page shows this:
UMTS: 1900/850
GSM/GPRS/AT&T: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
So I wonder if the phone actually supports 2100 MHz
And if so, since O2 HSDPA/3G in the UK runs on 900/2100 does this mean that the phone will still get 3G on 2100 MHz, but won't benefit from the 900 MHz band which enables coverage in harder to reach locations.
Secondly, should I only flash AT&T Radios on to this phone or can I flash the Europe modem found here forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/HTC_HD7/Radios ? Might doing so enable the 2100 MHz band which isn't used by AT&T ?

I got mine off ebay too (HD7S AT&T), did u manage to get the 3G working ? Please help me. Have you flashed the Euro radio ?
NO
UMTS: 1900/850
GSM/GPRS/AT&T: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
These are the correct specs.... because there's no 2100MHz band for GSM, the 2100MHz is used by CDMA networks.

[Q] HD7 doesn't has 3G connection due to different frequencies???

Hi, I got a new HD7 which is unlocked version from italy, now I'm in US using ATT, but it doesn't has 3G connection, only edge connection which is a big "E" sign.
I checked the italy HTC site that the frequecy is following:
HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz
GSM: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
and for ATT HD7S, frequency is :
UMTS 1900/850
GSM/GPRS/AT&T 850/900/1800/1900MHz
So how can I get 3G on ATT?
is it possible to flash ATT's rom on my phone to enable 3G in US?
or it is hardware limitation?
Thanks in advanced.
No, it is not possible to enable 3g on your phone.
3G is HSPA/WCDMA: 900/2100 MHz in Europe and UMTS 1900/850 in the US.
So you you have device for europe only.
T-Mobile uses 1700mhz for 3G, which AT&T doesn't support.

801s 801n variations

I'm from U.S. and don't want the AT&T variant, so when I went on Negri to search for a unlocked black one I see the S and N versions. Does anyone know the differences and which one supports LTE on AT&T and possibly T-Mo? I'm having trouble finding unlocked black ones at reasonable prices. And from the T-Mo site, they don't carry black.

As far as I know the only difference is in the 4G radio frequencies, hardware is same otherwise
801e = Non LTE version
801n = LTE version, following frequencies: Network: GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz / HSPA/WCDMA: 900/1900/2100 MHz / 4G/LTE: 800/1800/2600 MHz
801s = LTE version, following frequencies: Network: GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz / HSPA/WCDMA: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz / 4G/LTE: 1800/2600 MHz
You can confirm from ATT and T-Mo websites or customer service if, and which, will work best

thanks. I found really little information on distinguishing differences for these models. I will go forward and try to confirm LTE compatibility with the 801n it seems

[Q] Using American HTC One in Europe

Hello! I want to buy a HTC One from ebay and use it in Europe. Until now, when I bought from US, I chose either unlocked or from AT&T. Now, I'm not sure if there are any differences between US HTC One models. So, can anybody tell me if the One from Sprint would work in Europe? Ok. I've found out that the 2G bands would work after unlocking, but what about 3G and 4G? Thanks!
Check with your carrier and then compare the specs between the US and EU Ones to see which bands match up. I know in my case that Three UK would work for 3G using a DE One as Three use the 2100MHz band

Phonearena shows that 2G and 3G are the same for all models, but for 4G it shows this:
2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G Network LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600
LTE 1800 / 2600
LTE 1900 - for Sprint
LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 - for AT&T
LTE 700 / 1700 / 2100 - for T-Mobile
What does this mean? Does this mean that ALL HTC One phones have LTE 800 / 1800 / 2600? Why the next line says only LTE 1800 / 2600? Also, for example Sprint have LTE 1900, but also the other ones from above? I hope you can tell me this. Thank you!
PS: I need 800/900/1800/2600.
What SIM card are you putting going to use, e.g. from what carrier (Vodafone??)? Then compare their 2/3/4G bands and then check the specs for the different Ones available and see which is best for you (which is what I said before - it's not hard to understand)

Maybe my english was not so good, but I'm not so stupid as you think. I know that I must compare their bands, but I don't know what are the specs for those phones. This is the reason why I wrote what gsmarena says about this phone. I think you didn't really read my previous post. I didn't find anywhere what are the bands for those models. I cannot explain better than in previous post.
OK, this is taken from HTCs website:
3G - UMTS/ HSPA:
Europe/ Middle East/ Africa: 900/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps <--- This is the EU handset, 801n (m7_ul)
Asia: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps <--- This is the Asian handset, 801s (m7_ul) (probably)
Canada/ Latin America: 850/1900/2100 MHz up to HSPA+ 42 Mbps <--- This is the North American GSM handset, 801n (m7_wlj or m7_wlv)
T-Mobile (US): 850/ AWS/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps <--- This is the T- Mobile handset, 801n (m7_wlj or m7_wlv)
AT&T: 850/1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps <--- This is the AT&T handset, 801n (m7_wlj or m7_wlv))
Sprint: 1900/2100 MHz with HSPA+ up to 14.4 Mbps <--- This is the Sprint handset, 801c (m7_wls)
So, you check what 3G band you network uses and see which phones support it

Here is a datasheet on the Sprint HTC One. The operating bands are not rom dependent, it is the built in radio hardware. Check the datasheet if the bands you need are supported then it will work with any rom.
