apps2sd on dwang!!

hi guys...
i have searched over and over how to make apps2sd work on dwang but there are some answers however no straight answer following. i am sorry if theres any other post in the forum that i may have missed.
so i have the amon-ra recovery...
i have partitioned my sd card (2gig)
32 linux swap
400 ext2 (already upgraded to ext3)
rest is fat32..
now when i goto sd card &phone storage.. i see sd card (following total space and etc..) and i see internal phone storage.
now when i download a app.....i see decrease on my internal memory. i even tried selecting move apps-cache to sd card from recovery mode.
i am not understanding wats going on. i need some help please!
once again sorry if theres already some post about this.
Its just cache from market its not relelated to apps2sd.It builds up over time.Do a search in market for cache and look for the cache mover, so it will be on your sd instead.

isnt A2SD automatic on dwangs? usually all you need is a second partition in order for it to work...
hey i thought it was automatic too but it doesnt seem like. how can i verify if the ext3 has some usage? and i downloaded the cache mover now it took up so much space on my sd card. even after that i downloaded a app and it still seem to affect my internal memory! please help. i had my sd card partitioned and emptied (formatted) even before installing the dwang rom.....
You know its being used because you would have like 20~ free internal mem
Ace42 what u mean...i didnt download alot of apps. when i flashed with a full wipe i had abt 81 mb rite now i have abt 68 after having installed abt 5 apps so it means maybe not working i am guessing... and even after moving cache i dun see any difference in internal storage...
is there anyone who can be of some assistance plz.....?
Try doing the flash process again but leave it at EXT2 instead of upgrading.
but when i do flash...shouldnt i have a second sd card displayed on my phone in setting? coz when i did cyanogen i had two sd card option. first one being the sd card. second one was unavailable until partitioned the drive. and i was able to see how much space is left after i download and install an app....on the second sd card option. however with dwang i dun have that

Apps2SD Issues on FroYo?

So today I managed to go from CM5 to stock to update 1 to FroYo; and on my SDcard I have it partitioned for 1GB of apps on the linux partition...
I didn't mind losing them all since I can get them all back via appaware; but I'm having issues moving them to SD as was shown in the froyo demo. The option's there in manage applications; but it's greyed out.
Any ideas as to why it's doing this/how to fix it?
I'm using the stock 4gb class 2 card that came with my nexus, and it's partitioned for 1gb of ext3 for apps2sd.
Tips?
I'm having the same issue.. my SD is 100% fat32.
The installing apps on the SD card in FroYo isn't really A2SD. The developers of each individual app has to support installing their app on an SD card. That was mentioned during the day 2 keynotes. So until the developer of your apps enables that function you won't be able to install on the SD Card.
yea that's my question also,I also have partitioned my card, just tell me what config should I keep to store apps back to sd card in froyo.. or if there is any method to completely wipe all partition in my card, I am using 8gb card..
No partition needed, just wait for the apps to be updated to support it.

Using sd-ext ?

Is there any point in using an sd-ext partition on the O2X ?
I used to use one on my sd card for my blade and use Darktremor Apps2SD. But the O2X has so much more memory and storage space than the blade. I also ask this as when you go into CWM and wipe the dalcik cache it throws a little error of something like E: unknown partition for sd-ext, and seeing as I have a 16 gig card I thought of making a small 512meg partition for that ??
I too came from a blade with sd-ext . The only reason I can see would be if you had a class 10 sd card, in which case it COULD be faster than the internal memory, but instinctively (no scientific basis) I'd have thought the internal memory is faster even than a fast sd card.
Absolutely no point in it whatsoever. You have 1.5GB available internal storage available, if you can fill that, you have app hoarding issues
The recovery 'error' isn't really an error, more of a statement.

Problem with new SD card

So far i have been using default 2GB SD that comes with the phone, with ext2 partition (512MB size) for app2sd. Everything was working fine, i would change ROMS, install apps, all ok.
Recently i bought a 4GB class 4 sd, partitioned again an ext2 same size, but i notice that apps randomly crash, sometimes the phone fails to boot and many times when i try to install ROMS, at xrecovery it says that the zip file is "bad"
Has anyone experience any kind of weird behavior with a new SD?
well that happened to me just format it
Recently switched from default 2 gigs to 8 gigs microSd, but no problems. I do have it whole formatted as fat32 though.
Use 2.3.5 roms that have native app2sd and no need to create additional ext partition.
Backup it, format from phone, upload data back.
HAVE to work. If not - your new card is broken.
Format with your phone...before that, backup your SD card fisrt.

sd partition

If I create a partition on my SD, how can i use it as internal memory?
I tryed Darktremor Apps2SD, but the app didnt work. Then I tryed just installing s2e, but I actualy dont know how to work with it, and I'm not shure if it recognises the partition as internal storage...
I wonder if I can use like Link2Sd, and make the partition be recognised as internal storage, or if there is a simple way to work with s2e and meke it also recognise the sd partition as internal storage.
Can someone help me?
these things are just made to see secondary partition as internal memory and link2sd will also work
