This theme is a port of Generation X originally for the I9000 made by D3StRoY & R64 and can be found here.
This theme will only work over a DJ05 deodexed rom.
I have only tested this over JT's Super Clean ROM v0.9 but it should work over others. Install it by flashing through CWM.

Sounds like a rom issue.
Think I should go to V8.0? Or should I try another Rom in general? It has to be Deodexed to work with this theme.
I installed this over stock dj05 but dialer wasn't themed, and i hate the stock dialer... So I installed matted blues then reinstalled this theme, and this theme+matted blues dialer is the best looking my phone has been yet

Did you use CWRECOVERY for this? Just installed Matted and then Generation X after it was done? Do you have to change someone on it so that it doesn't try to change the dialer?
I was inspired to further customize my phone and made my first set of icons. Be kind, this is my first attempt, I wanted the menu on my phone to have the same look and feel of the SuperDark/NitroDark/NitroComb themes, which I love. Thanks to thatdudebutch and nitroglycerine33 for the inspiration and everyone else who themes.
I did not make the images from scratch, I took the images right out of the framework and photoshop'd down to greyscale to try and start with a nice even baseline then added in color in with blue glow to mimic the glow of NitroHoneyComb. Let me know what you think. I don't know how to make a flashable zip yet, but I will share the .png files with anyone who wants them. A zip is now available for download if you like. THIS ZIP IS NOT FLASHABLE YET. IT CONTAINS THE PNG FILES ONLY. I'm working on making a flashable version soon.

New modified icon set for the settings menu, I pulled the raw images from here (http://gnome-look.org) and added the colors and effects to match the theme Glowing Blue by Gunnermike, these are preinstalled in his theme. There are a number of them within framework-res.apk in res/drawable-hdpi folder that can be changed out. But some apps will pull images from their own apk's and others will pull from the framework. So when using a particular app you might find that 2 of the 6 menu icons are themed the way you want unless you hunt down each one from all of the various apk's. Check nitsuj17's sticky on how to go about swapping images in an apk.

I have been playing with themes for a while now, and I am pretty happy with this one.
This theme is based off SRF1.1.1, but should work on most Froyo Roms. I have used a lot of images from Matted Blues, some from Emotionless Beast, and some from stock Gingerbread. Maddoggins lockscreen mod is included.
Apps themed are contacts, dialer, phone, mediaprovider, settings, and the market. The other apps are there because of the status bar icons.
Thanks goes to MysteryEmotionz, maddoggin, b-reezy, and the original themer for Matted Blues. I also want to say thanks to all the developers, themers, testers, etc. who help do anything for the community. We wouldnt have what we have today if it wasnt for everybody helping to make it what it is.
If I missed anybody, shoot me a pm and I will update.

Here is a beta version for EF02. Everything works, I just havent got around to changing the menu text/background color, and I doubt that I will. I wasnt going to update until official release, but saw a request, so here is something to play with. You need to be on EF02 before you flash this.

I have been using the dialer from matted blues, but wanted something different. This one makes the keys much more defined. I did a lot of work on the dialer and phone apk. I didnt like the green and red buttons, or the green outline for the incoming call so I changed all of them. It is perfect in my mind, to each his own though.

What do you mean? I didnt theme the contacts icon, its the list that is themed. I used to have the icon themed, but i have been using more of a touchwiz look lately (not that you can tell from the screen shots)
The icons on my home screen above are on my sdcard. I change them all the time.

Well I guess what it did was take out the contacts icon I had on the bottom of my home screen. I am using Zeam Launcher. It turned the icon into the little android man in a box. I can try it again.

I just wanted to give you a heads up. If I remember right, if I try to push one say from matted blue theme, I think I may mess things up and get in a bootloop. At least that's what has happened to me in the past.

Are you trying to push an icon? I use adw-ex, it lets you change all the icons within the launcher. I keep a file of icons that I created on my sdcard so I can switch them all the time.

No, I just don't have a "contacts" to press but I can get to them from the dialer or messaging so its really a minor thing. I will check out ADW EX also. Congrats on your first theme.

and contrary to the screenshots, the signal strength meter with 3 bars has been already taken care of and is now cyan, and the red phone icon in the picture was taken pre-maturely before I had contacts.apk done, so that is fixed also.

I flashed this theme and could not send or receive text, use internet or make phone calls. Had to restore data from a backup to get everything working again

Flash Gingervolt 1.3 again then the theme if you want to see if that fixes. Make absolutely sure you are using GingerVolt 1.3 as it is based on that framework ONLY!!! If you want the stock apps afterwards you can download and install ginger Home..

really? I am cool with the feedback, but does anybody like the Cyan or Indiglo Pull-Down Status-Bar? I will work on an alternate version..
Only problem with black will be the same as my RedDroid Theme. "Ongoing" apps will have their own layout and would have to be edited individually and at least for apps like weather bug will be black print on smoked or black screen. That was my thinking here. In RedDroid I edited the "Ongoing" apps line to be red but it didn't make all the "Ongoing" apps red.
Do we really want an all black or smoked or black/transparent pull down status bar or just tone down the Indiglo?? Let me know.. open to suggestions..
Any color once its pulled down but all black for me when not pulled down is what i would like to see. Thanks for the great work.

This theme looks sweet! I know you said you are running out of theme ideas but if you're looking for suggestions, I think an electric blue type theme would be cool. I know there is ick but it would be awesome to see the stock mms and dialer themed blue. Thanks for all of your work in helping keep our devices looking good!

Ha, maybe ill take a look, when i do 200 in a row i tend to fly through it and not look closely i very easily could have copied over the wrong image. I gotta have you test my next one save me the trouble
