[Q] Bad performance CWM Honeycomb Froyo V3 - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I installed the above build on my Sony Ericsson X1,
Im getting really poor performance, after quite a while of trying I managed to install Android System Monitor, I notice my processor is running at 57.6Khz 100.2% of the time!
I read that this build is pretty quick...
within the frequency stats it shows:
-122.88Mhz 0.0% (0)
-245.76Mhz 0.0% (0)
-320.0Mhz 0.0% (0)
-480.0Mhz 0.0% (0)
-57.6Mhz 0.0% (100.02%)
I think this could be my problem....
in my startup.txt file I have the following:
set ramsize 0x8000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2006
set INITRD_OFFSET 0x608000
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "rel_path=npkboot fbcon=rotate:2 ro.sf.hwrotation=180 lcd.density=240 msmvkeyb_toggle=off msmts_calib=0x0366.0x04b.0x0c8.0x038e clock-wince.grp=0xa92 acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=650000 pmem.extra=1 no_console_suspend physkeyboard=kovsq msmsdcc_1bit msmsdcc_fmax=14000000 hw3d.force=1 acpuclock.force_turbo=1"
boot
Someone please help!
this is the exact thread i followed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156421
Making sure I have created the partitions correctly.
the only thing I did change was the order in which the partitions, otherwise I couldnt access the fat32 partition to copy the files.
I did try the Turbo kernel which didnt make any difference.
I have tested the card and its fine, i have used this for other builds on a Touch pro 2 and it worked fine.
This was ran the same before I installed the gapps.zip using clockwork mod.
I managed to get it to boot up really quick once, it really was flying! then it rebooted..
since then it doesnt even boot, im trying to step the CPU down as much as possible. on the thread it recommends 614000khz but I have gone down less that 600 and its still crashing and re-booting.
I might leave it a while incase its a heat issue, and let the cpu cool...
Any help would be greatly appriciated!
thanks in advance.

acpuclock.oc_freq_khz=650000
you can make it small.576000-624000 is enough, and I didn't install gapps.
but my keyboard sometimes can't work, what about yours

Honeycomb Froyo V3
Had the same problem, massive heat problems and poor battery life with this build, now using NAND CM7 Gingerbread, much better, much more stable

512MB microSD is not enough for andorid?

I am trying to get android running on my htc touch.
every time when I try to install it, I get some fail message.
when I quit, I get this message
A N D R O I D [116.665761] init: Unable to open persistent property directory /data/property errno: 2
my microsd is also full, 0 bits left...
do I need to buy a biger sd card?
any help will be nice
yes you need a bigger card.
Should be enough for the older versions with rootfs (via system.img or system sqsh). Check out myn's warm donut, he still supports that (Classic sqsh method):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=619980
Ion Cupcake should also run fine.

I couldn't put it on 512mb either. I wasted 3 hours figuring out it was too small.

[Q] Screen calibration is way off - Have tried to delete calibration.txt

I installed the Android with the below version:
Android 2.0.1 Eclair (kernel13 (Topaz/Rhodium-only) by Markinus, composed by Shadowline on January 8th 2010)
Everything runs properly and able to boot up, but I do not get the screen calibration which everyone says that we have to tap 5 points (similar with Windows). And my screen now is way off. i.e. to hit "I", I must hit "K" in the keyboard.
Reading from other forum, I have tried to delete the calibration.txt but then it doesn't get recreated. Now, I don't have any calibration.txt anymore.
My default.txt is:
set MTYPE 2293
set KERNEL zImage
#set FBDURINGBOOT 0
set initrd initrd.gz
#pwf dm.txt 0x8e0000 0x20000
#pwf smem.txt 0x01f00000 0x100000
#msmts_calib=0x376.0x3c1.0x6a.0x8a
set cmdline "msmts_calib=0x395.0x3d5.0x79.0xa0 msmvkeyb_toggle=off WiFi.mac=00:23:76:0C:35:AD lcd.density=240 mddi.width=320 mddi.height=480 no_console_suspend"
#mddi.width=320 mddi.height=480
boot
In summary:
- No calibration screen during the first boot up
- Deleted calibration.txt in attempt to recreate a new one, still no calibration screen
- Deleted data.img, no calibration screen, it goes straight to the screen where you press Android (green color) and on the bottom showing Emergency and Next
- Tried other value for msmts_calib= from another thread that reports to be near perfect for Topaz, but not working on mine.
- Deleted the line msmts_calib=0x395.0x3d5.0x79.0xa0 from the default.txt but it made it worst, I can't tap on anything.
Hey Bankir. Restore evrything from your root, which means all the stuff like command lines from startup.text etc. otherwise I could share the link of ADAndroid with you. ;-) With FRX04 they got nearly a completely working Android version 2.2.1!

Unescapble Sleep/Hibernate while running XDAndroid

Hi,
I'm new to this site and XDandroid Rom so I will try to provide as much information as possible to assist you in helping me. I have recently installed the "XDANDROID.2.2.1.AOSP.FRX03.21.11.10.FULL_PACK AGE" on my Raph800 Touch Pro.
The problem that I have noticed is that well, mostly this problem has been occuring while on battery power, but after the phone goes unattended for about 40 seconds it goes into a sleep/hibernate state that I cannot get out of without doing a battery pull.
My code in the "startup.txt" file is:
set ramsize 0x10000000
set ramaddr 0x10000000
set mtype 2039
set KERNEL zImage
set initrd initrd.gz
set cmdline "lcd.density=210 msmvkeyb_toggle=off physkeyboard=raph board-htcraphael-navi.wake=0 gsensor_axis=2,-1,3 rel_path=andboot pm.sleep_mode=1 force_cdma=1"
boot
Also there is still currently no way to have WEP wifi network work on this build correct?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you

this seem to be a problem we are yet to get a solution to,i run xdandroid 2.2 froyo on the htc fuze.when the phone sleeps for more than 5min it won't wake except by soft reset or removing the battery and restart the phone into winmo.. any solution to this as yet ?

[Q] CM7 on SD card wifi issues

I used autonooter to root my NC and that works fine for most uses, but I sometimes run CM7 from an SD card which I set up following verygreen's size agnostic SD card thread. So it works fine, but when I installed a new kernel using verygreen's method and overclocked the NC, the wifi would not work. When i checked settings I got the message "wifi error". One other thing I noticed was that my battery life increased dramatically when I had the wifi error. I didn't use my NC for 5 days because of work, and the battery life dropped < 1% per day. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions of the best way to update the kernel, which kernel is most stable right now, etc., I would appreciate the input.
Thanks for the great responses. Do I have to know someone on this board to get help?
Have you tried the following two systems for microSD?
It seems that they are stable.
-- system #1 running @925MHz max.
----- generic-sdcard-v1.3.img
----- gapps-gb-20110307-signed
----- update-cm-7.0.3-encore-signed
-- system #2 running @1300MHz max.
----- generic-sdcard-v1.3.img
----- update-cm-phiremod-nook-6.3
Good luck.
Thanks
I will give them a try
I am using below on SDcard
----- generic-sdcard-v1.3.img
----- nightly encore 113
----- overclocked darlingrin kernel 0618
Had same wifi problem when I just replaced the uImage from the OC kernel. Problem is resolved after I copied the OC kernel zip file and reboot in recovery mode.
I developed the wi-fi error last night after trying to update CM7 and/or overclock. I could not get the Nook to boot into recovery mode from Rom Manager...had to hold the n and power buttons. I never got to the Linux penguin and orange writing. When I manually booted into recovery, cyan blue writing would scroll by in the lower left hand corner and ultimately stop saying there was a syntax error and an unexpected character ')'.
I got the same error message with CM7 7.03, Dalingrin OC. I then went into Rom Manager and tried the first option (flashing CWM). That ended up giving a notification that a newer version of CM7 was available and did I want to update. I hit OK, (had to still manually boot into recovery) and it seemed to be installing fine...until that same syntax error message came up.
Now the nook says the CM7 is 7.03 but that wi-fi error is there.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

probelm changing speed in elginsk8t_Pie.zip

Hi All, after discovering these forums about updating the infamous HP Touchpad a few weeks ago, I have had success in doing so thanks to all the terrific people who put together the "how to's" in getting the feat accomplished. I started with Nougat, went to Oreo briefly and lastly installed elginsk8r Pie about a week ago. All was well and the Touchpad was fun to use again and very responsive. I started to increase the kernel speed moving from HpTp_MAX_1512_CPU_Univeral_Optimized Swap_Evervolv_v9_elginsk8r_Pie.zip to HpTp_Max_1674_CPU, then HpTp-MAX_1728 and then onto HpTp_Max_1782 with no problems at all using TWRP 3.2.1. The other day I was going to try the last speed setting HpTp_MAX_1836 but received an error when flashing : Zip signature verification failed! Error installing zip file '/sdcard/download/HpTp_MAX_1836_CPU_Iniversal_Optimized_Evervolv_v9_elginsk8r_pie.zip' I now get the same error no matter what speed I try to flash. All the files have been sitting the Download folder on the Touchpad. I actually removed and copied over a new version of the speed files but no help. Here is the order of the files I flashed when putting Pie on the TP: Wipe All and Create Android partitions with Swap 1GB or 500MB; then #1 ev_tenderloin-9-userbuild-2019.08.30.zip; #2 MAX_Kernel_Ramdisk_build_prop_Settings; #3 MAX_Kernel_Ramdisk_build_prop_Settings and finally #4 open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20200613.zip. Any and all help with this error will be much appreciated.
Oh, sorry one more thing - is there an easy, quick way to tell what speed the CPU is running at? I'm sure i will wonder about that in the future when I'm playing around with the settings. Thanks for your help
problem changing speed in elginsk8r_Pie.zip
Update: #3 should be ROM_Reducer_Evervolv_v9_elginsk8r_Pie in the above thread. Sorry , my copy & paste skills failed me!

This is the link to download the HpTp_MaXtreme for all the ROMs, select Evervolv_V9_elginsk8t_Pie.
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/zadfhdbskoii1/HpTp_MaXtreme_Kernel
The HpTp_MaXtreme provides more optimization plus allows to use the full 1 GB or RAM.
After downloading the *.zip file it must be un-zip ( uncompressed on a PC ) then transfer all the individual speeds to the Tablet to flash.
There is no need to re-flash the ROM.
What is the speed the Table is running?
The CPU speed that the user flashed, example:
If the file HpTp_MAX_1836_CPU_ is flashed then both CPU cores will run at 1836 using performance governor and then when idle will be at 384.
The settings makes the Tablet work as a Laptop or PC, there is no cap or restriction on the processor, as soon as the user start using it the CPU goes to 1836 and stays in that speed until the task is finish, then it idles to 384 and 192 in deep sleep.
