[HERO METAMORPH THEME] 'grey' and 'black-transparent' for Hero 2.1 ROMs

Hey,
I made this simple little theme for private use - but I just decided to share it
It only changes the appearance of the bottom bar of the Rosie homescreen...
And I also made a clock theme that matches it.
I use it with the [email protected] ROM but it should work with all ROMs based on the Hero 2.1 build.
You need MetaMorph installed to apply the theme.

I updated this theme a bit - it now has a black transparent bottom bar

can I be nosy and ask what the thing at the bottom left of your homescreen is? Just part of the background or an app?

The glossy bottom bar is very sexy! Please keep at it !

It's pretty easy please do a Nandroid backup before...
- just install Metamorph and AndExplorer from the Market
- then copy one of the zip files attached to this thread to your SD card
- start the MetaMorph application on your device
- select the zip file (choose AndExplorer if it asks you which app it should use)
- apply the theme

I take no credit for the creation of these icons. They were posted on a forum and people requested them to be put into a MM and I got bored and decided to make this for you guys. All I did was create the MM. OG creator is thyraz (http://ape47.posterous.com/suave-by-thyraz).
I need to do other "main" apps. I will try to finish this up soon. But this should hold you over.

I dont have a engadget icon but do have a facebook. Just didnt add it in this release. As for not working on Cyan ROMs, since I dont use it, I dont know the break down (and too lazy to break it down, lol). But if someone else would like to help out on that dept, please let me know either here or PM.

I have Recovery. This is a zip file. How can i instal?

Try using ROM Manger, it may be a flashable zip.

write what you added and removed for cause because the same screen shots do not talk much

I put I zip to save space when uploading. extract and put in backup folder then restore.

The app Market is error. "The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Then FC button. Can you fix it for me? Thanks

I try it but it can't solve the problem even i have to delete the MarketUpdater.apk in system/app and install a new Market.apk.

dont delete market updater
just delete vending.apk

Final, i solve this problem.I have delete all com.adroid.vending.apk in data/app and copy a new com.android.vending.apk to system/app then restart. It is working.

No the picture has launcherpro but it comes with gingerbread launcher.launcherpro is what i use personally its not in the rom

ICS - GTalk 4.0.3 - Fully Transparent

I have it inverted also in another thread in the Fascinate section but it's more of a Holo theme than Blacked Out...
This thread is for the Transparent Version tho. This is a huge accomplishment since I'm pretty sure this has never been done. There have been transparent Talks but none of them had the chat screen done also.. so this is really cool!..

Installation Guide:
FOLLOW PRECISELY
1. http://bit.ly/403TalkNOmanifestEdit Download this zip file and flash it in recovery or rom manager... once the device reboots, check your talk.apk and make sure it's working.. it'll be partially themed. If so, reboot your phone again.
2. Once the phone reboots, download this http://bit.ly/403TalkTransparent and flash it in recovery or rom manager.. Once it reboots you should have a fully transparent GTalk.apk
3. If you lose Talk at any point or just wanna go back to stock, download this http://bit.ly/stock403Talk .. it's the stock Talk.apk and flash it
This install method is the only way I got it to work and credits to TravP for collaborating with me on getting this to install due to the weird GApps issues when we touch the manifest.
*known issues*
Only thing I can find is the notification pop up menu.. it's white with black text. We're still looking into this one...

I have a Fascinate, not a Gnex.. So I don't know if this will work on other ICS Roms. Feel free to try it and feel free to add them to a zip file that will support your device.. The zip file I used is from the GApps I installed with the rom just to ensure it installs.. I'll add a "how to" guide later for anyone that want's to know...

works great for me. one request, would it be too hard to still leave black on the top navigation bar? or maybe a darker tint of some sort... I use the awesome plasma live wallpaper and the part behind the name while in a chat is almost exactly the same color as the wallpaper.

Its a tough app to theme since it has install issues so I plan on leaving it as is..
Contacts is a biyatch... it force closes the dialer so I plan on compiling it from source to invert it.. along with calendar and the built in keyboard....

Hi guys since the Facebook home is officially not available for our device I just used the old build.prop trick to make it work fully for my nexus S. It should work for everyone but it is not guaranteed please perform necessary backup before changing anything in system files.
Requirements -
1.Rooted Nexus S.
2.File explorer with root permissions.
3. Latest version of main Facebook app and Facebook messenger already installed.
4.Custom recovery img
I have CM10.0 stable on my phone but it should work with any ROM.Open your file manager browse with root permission - mount as writable - you will find build.prop in the system folder first make a backup of that then open build.prop in editor and edit the lines for ro.product.model/brand/device/manufacturer and in additional build properties change ro.com.google clientidbase line as screenshots below

After making changes reboot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache and reboot.
Now download Facebook home apk and install the app.
