Hi,
no app can use my mobile data connection, except browser. I once installed droidwall to do exactly this. But when i purge the rules/turn off the fire wall, other apps still cant connect.
What can i do about this?
(Running froyomod 2.9.2)

No, i dont use any Proxy.
I changed to CM7 RC14 now. Still the same strange behavior even after a complete wipe. No mobile data except for browser.
Any ideas?
I had a similar issue here and solved by downloading on Market an App which configures the APN setting for my country. Is is called APN BRASIL and worked for me. Maybe you could search for a similar app for your country.

Ok here's the thing. I cant access certain websites(mostly filesharing sites) due to my country's 'anti piracy policy'. Researched, n found out that they do it by manipulating the DNS. I can access them using my PC by changing the connection setting protocol n stop using auto dns server. I changed the preferred DNS server to Google's.
Then,is there any way i can do it in my O2X? Coz i prefer to get online using my fone rather than pc.
If anyone know how to do it,can u guide me step by step please? Really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
Btw im running CM7 RC1 with latest vork kernel. Bb 606 Ril 606.

It's easy for WiFi (advanced settings) but for mobile network connection this is the only method I know of:

VPN app
Do you try using a VPN app? Just try a free one such as KUKU VPN+ search it on google play and check out if you can access to blocked sites.

To create new APN go into settings, and under wireless settings/mobile networks you shall see the option for mobile networks. then you shall see the access point names. open that tab and then press menu key to enter apn settings. which you need to find out from your carrier.
but it usually is ppinternet under option APN and everything else left default.
OF course different carriers have different set up. if all else fails you could always call up customer support. that works well.

Replacing the efs folder is for restoring EMEI. If you've lost your APN, it's easier to just go in and enter it again. Use google to find the correct input for your carrier.
I actually got it restored by going back to ics

Back up your apns with apn back up and restore or just simply screenshots of it then you can enter them manually in case you lose them while flashing roms .

I haven't tried this yet but I have tried other bluetooth like tethering apps and it almost always crashes as if there is some library missing on the gear that it needs.
I was able to get the app installed and running on both devices. No success with internet sharing though...

Part of the issue is that open garden requires proxies in Firefox. Sadly you cannot access the settings to manually configure them. OG does have an auto add but only if you can access the internet.:banghead:

Title says it! For no root adblocking on 4g.
Try this, works for me but you have to configure it per Wi-Fi connection and it only works on Wi-Fi. Yes it says Samsung Galaxy S3. You also have to get the Adblock Plus apk and side load it.
