Text to Speech - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm running the Overcome's Jupiter ROM and want to enable text-to-speech option. So I went to Setting -> Voice Input and output --> Text-to-speech settings and clicked on Install voice data. It takes me to market and says "pname:com.svox.langpack.installer No results found"
How do I get it to work?
Thanks

[Q] Google Voice Input?

Hi,
coming from the MotoX to the Z3 compact, I am missing the Voice Input. On the MotoX, I enabled "Google Voice Input" in the Keyboard settings. A little microphone key apeared on the Google Keyboard to start voice typing. On the Z3c, I cannot find Google Voice Input, and I cannot find it in the Play Store. Is there any possibility to download Google Voice Input to the Z3c, or is there any other app that works the same way? I don't wanna loose the Google Keyboard, because I like it more than any other keboard....
Thanks!
It's basically the same way on the Z3C.
Goto "Settings" -> "Language & Input" and you should see three (3) keyboards:
1.) Chinese
2.) Xperia
3.) Goggle Voiceinput
Obviously, #3 has to be ticked/enabled, else it won't work. After that, tap on the settings symbol (this screwdriver&wrench icon) right to #2 (the Xperia keyboard), scroll down and tick checkbox "Key for Google Voice Typing". That gets you the little microphone key.
Yepp, that were my thoughts, though, but i dont have Google voice input in that list on my z3c.

Install Google Keyboard, set it as default keyboard, problem solved.

As mentioned in first post, I use Google Keyboard as default.
Nevertheless, I found the issue. It seems like Google Voice Input is part of Google Search, what was disabled by me to check the influence on the battery. With Google Search enabled, I can enable Google Voice Input.

No Speech to text option

Hi, I just got my phone through xiaomidevices.com. It came with the english pack and google play store installed. The only option I can't get to work is the speech to text feature. The microphone does not appear in the messaging or any other app except the google search bar. I have tried all the settings, installed all the google features, activated all the appropriate permissions but nothing. Is it unavailable with MIUI8? Thanks for any help.

Settings -> additional settings -> language & input -> current keyboard -> choose keyboards -> enable google voice typing (?)
Same here
I am having the same issue. I like the Kika keyboard that came on the Mi Mix, but when you click on voice typing it says it is forbidden. Then in the Gboard settings there is no option for voice typing at all. I've gone to settings and language input and it does not show Google voice to text or as a keyboard option. There is a text to speech option father down the settings page but that has also has no option to enable the option even after downloading the correct language.
I am rooted, with unlocked bootloader running the EU ROM.

I too had the same issue until recently. I downloaded the swift keyboard app from the Google Play Store. When I opened the app it brought me to a new keyboard selection page that I had never before seen. On this page was the option to click Google Voice typing keyboard and since then I have been able to have Google Voice texting in any keyboard app

Thorin78's advice was my solution. I can't believe I missed it. If you already have gboard installed and those steps dont work I might try reloading the ROM since your issue doesnt seem common with it.

Download Good Assistant and Google Voice Search from the Play Store and all of your problems will be solved

Problem setting up Google assistant

Hi guys,
I'm trying to set up Google voice typing. I want to enable the "Say OK Google any time" option.
Every time I want to enable this option, on the set up menu, it says that there is trouble with the microphone (see the screenshots).
Any ideas why is this happening?
solved by installing the beta version of google apps and google play services

without earphone connection, my voice doesn't go to the other party

Hi,
When I talk on my phone, my voice doesn't go to the other party.
However, this works fine when earphones are plugged into the type C port.
Even if the port is disconnected during talk, it works well through the device microphone.
If anyone knows what the problem is, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
cf) Phone (Z5 GT Pro) is in seller ROM (thru Aliexpress) and VOLTE enabled.
Disabling Access with Voice Match
Problem is resolved with disabling google assistance voice matching as follows,
Settings > Google > Account Service > Search, Assistant and Voice > Voice > Voice Match > disable 'Access with Voice Match' > reboot
