[Q] Anyone Try UOT? - LG Revolution

has anyone tried using uot on the revo yet? my girlfriend has it and I would like to score some points by using UOT to make it more to her liking. But since it is not my phone i feel it might be smart to ask first.
also this might be good for anyone else until the revo gets more themes and what not.

Have not tried it, but it does not look like it would theme everything. For the main areas there are edits that have to be done in the Framework-res.apk and Lge-res.apk. It does not look like there are any edits made to the Lge-res.apk. You can try it though, just make sure you backup before you do in case it does not work you can just revert back.

just tried it ... several of the mods didn't take, only ones i could get to work were the battery, notification background, and the color of the notification text.
I tried changing the lockscreen and various settings for notifications ... it failed
I did this on the new Home-Less ROM, I would imagine the same would happen on Revolt?

well thats something, thanks for trying it. its at least a little bit of customization we can use.

I'm loving that battery. Reminds me of MT's original accurate battery mod.

It worked well on the decrap roms. Can make changes to the aosp lock screen.

Android 2.3 complete look with Cyanogenmod 7

Many of you unaware that the look of Cyanogenmod 7 doesn't represent the look of Android 2.3, with only the top bar looking like it did in 2.3 the rest is ADWLauncher, So with ADWlauncher ex you can customize the look more, And what i'm after is the remaining 2 things i need.

As you can see the dock isn't really the same as it is in 2.3 so anyone out there with the right file?
Also the drawer icon is low quality, all i need are those 2 items, please help me find them.
Did you try just taking the images directly out of a Gingerbread launcher.apk?
While I'm here, love the use of the new Chrome icon for the browser - would you mind uploading it?
EDIT: After fishing through a Gingerbread launcher.apk, it seems the dock background is actually made of multiple images, since there's no single .png for it. The app drawer icon's an easy find, though. I'll upload the apk for you.
Have you thought of using the gingerbread launcher instead of adw.?

I know what you mean dude, and i agree but also you do get a lot more in the way of customization with ADW...then again there IS a Gingerbread theme on the market for it :S why bother with this?

[Q] Gingerbread Accents Color?

I want to change the golden yellow accents that go with the stock gingerbread theme. I'm talking about the color that comes up when you hit the top or bottom when scrolling through a list, or the color of the corrective text suggestions. I recently used CyanogenMod-7.0.3 and the accent colors were green on the Androdian theme. I am aware that CM7 is required for most of the themes, but I do not want to use any rom other than stock. So if you know if this is possible to just extract the accent colors from the theme please let me know. I appreciate any suggestions. BTW my phone is rooted and I have an unlocked boot loader.
Try using UOT Kitchen.

Thanks that helps me with the scrolling bar, but do you have any ideas about how to change other elements such as the corrective text color and the color displayed when a selection is made on the phone?
I don't know how but, I think you could look into ZipThemer or MetaMorph for that.
EDIT: I was curious about this and I'm pretty sure MetaMorph is your best bet. Look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=589315
I'm going to try it out when I get a chance.
Thanks again. I'll take a crack at it tomorrow.
The majority of what you are wanting to change is within framework-res.apk.
Thank you! I thought I found something in LatinIME too.

Yeah I found mine in the framework apk and it was named overscroll. Here is what mine looks like. I'm working on a red demonic theme so I figured this fits...

I found this for themed keyboards. It seems MetaMorph is no good for keyboards. This should do, though.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10919961
Wow some of the keyboards are pushing 7-8 mbs in size...something is off there as I themed my own which is included in my theme and its under 2mb...

[THEME] Stock Music.apk Grit theme

Hi guys, I'm usually just a forum poster to XDA, but I want to achieve a Theme Maker status.
This is a Music theme based on the Stock, it should work on all Froyo ROMs, not sure about GB but you can test.
This looks a bit like Trekfan's Music app made to fit the form of the ICS Set for Froyo.
When you open you will notice a Gritty Blue look to the now playing bar at the bottom, this was made through PicsArt Android app with other things added that aren't important. When you will Guide yourself to your Artists albums that display the Unknown Album Art .png you will see that it has been custom themed to a Brown Burnt Paper while still displaying the CD.
Upon displaying the play Menu you'll see the buttons have been Sheer Effected.
I hope any and all who use this enjoy it, this was strictly made through my phone.
PLEASE IF YOU USE THIS LEAVE FEEDBACK, IT ENCOURAGES US THEME MAKERS TO ATTEMPT MORE.
All stock ICS theming goes to the righteous Trekfan.
Love XDA

Just a few things changed, I've gotta get my computer back so I've got my editing tools.
1. I can't stand the Black/Grey Unknown Artist CD display.
2. Just seen an advantage.
3. More hardcore work will come when we get the Computer and I can do Grit editing.

Need new theme ideas... Any suggestions?

I've been doing alot of reading around and I know like most of you, you enjoy having a nice theme flow through-out your phone. Well I finally decided to give themeing a try. I was wondering if you guys would post some ideas on what you guys would be interested in seeing such as color scheme, themes, any ideas you may have.
I will be themeing:
ROM
Launcher - I will be using Launcher Pro any thing i can do to put with other launchers let me know.
WidgetLocker
Few other things after these.
Any ideas or thoughts will help me out a ton. Thanks for reading
Hmmmmm... Tricky question cause i change my home screen almost every day. I like a clean and minimalistic look. I dont like a very busy screen. Right now, this is my screen.

[Q]xt860 users, general question

Do you ever find that no matter what rom or theme(gb only) you flash that the signal strength icons stay the same stock moto ones?
Sent from my XT860 using xda premium
Now that you mention it.. yeah. It doesn't look bad or anything though. I haven't ever installed a theme yet, so not sure if this helps...
I got curious and searched my phone for screenshots and found 2 gingerbread-based rom screenshots from my XT860.
Liberty 2.0Gold ROM:

(and I think this is Mavrom4):
Drives me nuts
I think its because gsm uses different signals icons for some reason. Don't know why. I manually change them with ninja morph
I was surprised no one else had every mentioned it. I follow nearly every thread on here

LOL
I'm just happy that the icon (and function) works. Which theme/visual mods are you running right now? And/Or.. which rom? I'd like to see what your setup looks like. I admit, I'm getting a little bored of the standard look.

Looks like the screenshot got compressed and resized. Do you hate that SMS icon as much as I do? Hah.. I may just have to give Mav another shot and play with the themes. Mav4 made my phone warm for the whole 8 hours I had it installed. It bugged me.
