iMusic Replacement...

does anyone know of a good app that replaces the old iMusic app? I use to love downloading songs from iMusic but its no longer available in the market so I want to know if there any other mp3 downloading apps out there for our phones. Yes I know I can just connect my phone to my pc and move music through that but I like the simplicity of just downloading them directly onto my phone.
You can still get imusic from their website. Its just not on the market anymore. The site explains why.

Try this site. If not just google it.

Ive gotten a ton of free mp3 music from the "Mp3 Download" free app.
Seems to have as good a selection in hard rock genres I like as IMusic does.

thanks for the replies guys...i found music junk app in the market and seems to be working fine so its going to be my new replacement for iMusic

DLNA alternative

I recently switched to CM7.1 and would like to have an app that does DLNA media streaming similar to what the stock rom had. Anyone have any suggestions? Any feedback would be most appreciated.

twonky
it works great, i use it all the time
I tried twonky, I like imediashare a bit more, seems to have a decent about of options
Sent from my ThunderBolt using XDA App
I love imediaShare. I have zero complaints. Twonky didn't work as well with my hardware.
Skifta is AMAZING. Very user friendly.

Thanks guys. I've downloaded all three and am trying them all.

whats the difference between the paid and free imediashare app? can anyone tell me i cant find it
I've also been looking for a good alternative to the stock DLNA since it doesn't work with ps3. Then again, nothing much works on the ps3 since the network is down. anyway, I tried imediashare, but it didn't seem to work either. Is the ps3 DLNA technology just to outdated for the Thunderbolt?
Sent from by Thunderbolt using Tapatalk
I confirm imediashare works very nice with ps3. I love its feature where you can
1. stream youtube and many many sites directly
2. I like the way you can search for videos on your mobile and see them on ps3
3. I love its inbuit channels,very useful
4. Reliable and always works, no jerks no crashes.
5. plays HD content
6. Youtube quality is extremely good compared to the ps3 browser youtube.
7. Suppprts UPNP features of my ddwrt router.
It does not play my mobile(3gp) videos because none of these software can transcode, and ps3 can't play 3gp directly.

Finally a good Office Suite for Tablet

Hi,
I bought today the last version of Thinkfree Office Mobile HD ( 4.1.110728 especially designed for honeycomb ) and I found it very very good
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tf.thinkdroid.hdamarket
I tried Quickoffice HD , Documents to go , Picsel Smart Office but for me Thinkfree is much better.
It has a very good compatibility with MS office documents ( Word, Excel and Powerpoint ) and it is optimized for use with tablet ...
finally i can use the tablet instead of my laptop also for work !!
Not bad.....no dropbox or Google docs is a deal killer for anyone that already has their life set up.

Yeah, it's not perfect , but i read that Google docs support will be a next feature.
For dropbox I open docs through the dropbox app , not a big trouble
hm, 10 bucks. I already have quick office but imo it kinda sucks. I was gonna just use splashtop to RDP to my desktop at home but my school's network blocks it, those dicks.
It's pretty crashy.
That and the weirdo line wrapping made me refund/uninstall it.

ssh port forwarding is your friend
I don't see why this is so good. I prefer QuickOffice HD Pro myself over this one.

In my case, the layout of the complex word documents (with tables and images floating) is much better the Quickoffice HD and have best supporting excel pages with complex formulas.
Horrid instead is the management of line wrapping on Thinkfree ...
I think so too.
I bought this app in realease day.
But this app needs more features.
But i satisfied.

imo, not a winner, yet... no dropnox and couldn't open a couple of my word and dtg files... however, best ui out there and good rendering of some files that dtg and picsel disformed... lots of promise if upgraded and supported... good enough to keep, update and watch, but I'll keep using dtg primarily and picsel secondarily and just use this when neither works until it is improved. For those using quickoffice, though, I think this would be an upgrade... but I thout QO-HD was such a poc I uninstalled and ate my losses.
Im gonna try this

What Internet Browser do you guys prefer

Not on the phone on your PC's or macs.
IE is way to slow for me and is unusable imo.
Chrome is what i always use and currently use but its been on a crash course lately. and wont open up some website.
Mozilla is not bad, but haven't used it in a while
I want to know about Browsers that maybe i haven't heard of but are just as good. I know of Opera browser and used it once back in that day. are there any other ones out their you guys wanna chime in on.
Thanks guys/gals.

I know it's the wrong answer, but I use Firefox, with a whole bunch of add-ons too.
Works well for me. I also have Chromium, but rarely use it.

There's no wrong answer at all here, i want to know your guys full opinion on what to use. I like appearance just as much as ability to get what i need done. Opera seems out the picture for me already, it can't even load twitter.com correctly.
I used to be a Firefox user but switched to Chrome a little while ago...
Definitely no going back now. FF is a resource hog...
I use Chrome on everything. But I use Firefox to download large files because Chrome likes to randomly cancel them when I'm downloading them.
Chrome!

Exactly the same here. Longtime FF user, until a friend suggested I try Chrome for a week. It took a day or two to get used to, but I wont go back!
Chrome is just too minimal for me. It only fits so many bookmarks in the toolbar, I can't seem to find an equivalent to the Foxtab addon to hide my tab bar and switch tabs with a shortcut button, etc etc. I have 4 or 5 FF add-ons that I just can't live without.
I tried with Chrome, there just doesn't seem to be any way to make it how I want it to be.
FF definitely is a resource hog, but that's not a huge deal to me. I'm not usually one to have more than 3 or 4 tabs open at a time anyways, so it never comes close to bogging down even my old Dell Dimension.
I don't mind using more of my computer's resources for the sake of convenience, ease of use, and appearance, but I can appreciate that others want a fast, light weight browser with a clean appearance that simply does its job and does it well. Chrome definitely is that.
I used firefox for a few years and then i switched to chrome because of its simplicity and speed
Safari on Mac and Chrome or Opera (For the gestures and sync) on PC. IE SUCKS!
Internet Explorer
Chrome
RcMix 3D Darkside Glacier HD
Tdj's Demonspeed v7 Kernel
Virtuous OC Damean
ClockWorkMod Recovery 5.0.2.0
Mostly chrome but sametimes i have to change to firefox
Or opera.

browser wars

hey guys,
im on the lookout for a nice browser
which one you like most ? i personally like the stock one in tablet mode, but it fails to load some webpages properly ... havent found anything with good functionality/speed/smoothness compromise yet. chrome is nice, but it needs soooo much ram, cant even have 3 tabs open without having to reload them after switching.. awful.
i was hoping ucbrowser would answer my call, but something peculiar happened, i tried the tablet version first, just out of curiosity and it worked great, fast quite smooth with occasional hiccups. but the phone version was just horrible, lagged like i was running it on a single core 600mhz cpu. just pathetic... anyone know what the deal is with that ?
cheers
Naked browser
dolphin but now has some bugs, Opera......
the hemelywo
Chrome or Opera mini
Im using chrome, just becouse its syncing with my pc, but to be honest, the stock browser is my second best one!
Sent from my LG-P990 using xda app-developers app
thanks, ill try the naked browser
i didnt like to browse forums with chrome, the text is uneven, eg posts are displayed in a much larger font than the quotes in the same posts, so constant zooming is needed if you want to read the quote. bs..
browser
Chrome and Opera
I'am using this amazing browser named Puffin Browser and it's blowing my mind atm with its lightning speed!
I use "Lightning Browser"! It's just incredibly more fast than Chrome and than all browsers i used
I like AOSP/CM stock browser on kitkat. Puffin is fast indeed but that's it. I also use Opera mini for its great rss support.
