Getting to the point, I have CM 6 on my Milestone and the Problem is that i get the H symbol when i force WCDMA only through *#*#4636#*#* But i get less than 2G speeds..My friend with SGS 2 gets speeds above 4mbps.
Network: Airtel 3G.
Mode:WCMA Only
CM 6 Froyo
Note: I used to get high speeds in the same rom,same sim but not now..If anybody experience the same problem and resolved the issue please help.

I've flashed my phone countless of times now over the past months and one thing I was hoping for would be better signal strenght for WCDMA mode... I live in Switzerland and my provider is sunrise. Whenever I'm using WCDMA mode the signal is just horrible. Mostly 1 bar or sometimes dropping to zero. 3g and H works most of the time, but the signal is bothering me.. I've tried different modems etc.. but nothing seems to change.. Does anyone else have this problem?? what can I do about it? GSM has full bars most of the time and that's why it's so weird.
also worthy to note is that people hear an echo sometimes when they're talking to me both in GSM and WCDMA mode.
it would be great if someone knows how to solve this problem...
have you been on your providers website to check the coverage in your area ? they could be a fault on their part affecting your signal strength
Im on Vodafone UK and i have terrible 3g signal, I can only use 2g/GSM otherwise my phone doesnt recieve 1 bar of signal - bit of a bummer when you have a smart phone and unlimited internet
Finally, How was your signal before you flashed ? when the phone popped out of the box ? was it still poor then ?
im on 4.1 and noticed it wasn't wanting to ring or text or connect to data on 2g but will on 3g
so I tried 4.3 didn't make a difference
what could be causing it not to work on 2g signal im using o2 uk I no spare sims to try another network
some strange reason if bars on 2g less then 3 it wont work could this be a issue with the antenna
Just found a small trick to use only 3G instead of 3G preferrd.
Just dial *#*#4636#*#* select the desired radio in the drop down menu. WCDMA is 3G only.

Yeap yeap. Known for some time already. You can also force it to connect to 4G network instead of 3G network by selecting "LTE Only" but you won't be able to receive/ make calls and sms. Good for situation where you wanna use Internet and it is loading really slow cos your phone finds that the 4G signal is too low and determines that 3G is would be faster for you. But low signal 4G compared to higher signal 3G, 4G still wins most of the time to me.
On my Nexus 6 I can't make a call on LTE network. But I have more than 80% signal strength. I switched into 2G and 3G network mods but no network is available is shown. Only LTE network is shown., and I have using a Vodafone sim in India how to solve this. Is this a network problem with Vodafone .; or my phone issue?? Anyone help me... Hey guys i have taken my brothers letv le2 phone. And iam facing airtel 4g signal issues. The speed of the net is very slow as compared to net speed when i put the same sim on my asus device. Also the 4g signal is very unstable. For sometime it connect to 4g then the data connection get lost for 4-5 second ( i think because of shifting to another frequency band i.e. gsm) . When i was using jio sim in letv le2 i was getting the same speed as compared to when i was using it on asus phone. I think reason may be as jio have only 4g bands thats why my le2 was not changing its band to gsm band, and net connection was stable. If anyone faced this problem then please give some suggestions. Should i switch to another rom? And currently i am using eui 5.9 21s. And also i have changed the bands to lte by *#*#4636#*#* and changing apn bearer to lte, but after some the band automatically shifts from lte to unknown.
Did you get any solution? I'm facing exactly same problem.
