Yikes .. was about to try this myself .. I think that the UK 10c release, t-mobile in my case is a real piece of cr*p .. I am not able to get full root, and everywhere I read the instructions are not clear or complete .. personally I give up until gingerbread comes out .. and I think that this will not be hacked/cracked/rooted properly - all the forums on the OB seem pretty dead compared to other devices, so, while I like this phone .. it seems that it won't be much fun to own and a constant danger of bricking like no other Android I have owned! I wish you all the best getting out of your bricked state.
All the best.

Oh damn lg and damn phone...

Damn cant perform a factory reset..

stuck at red logo

Hey guys,
i did stupid things witch my razr i and now i'm completely lost…maybe someone can help?
I've been impatient enough to try to flash the leaked jb rom 3 days ago. That did'nt work
No, whenever i power up the phone it shows the red M logo and nothing happens.
I can power it down by holding vol+down and power for more than 4 seconds.
If i release the keys, it goes back to te red M,
If i keep holding vol+down it boot s into AP fastboot flash mode (secure boot) 20.0f
i can choose recovery and that'll work, but i don't have an update for external storage. rebooting from there leads to red M.
Normal Powerup, Factory and BP Tools are choosable, log says Booting into… but nothing happens after that, i'll stay in fastboot.
Power off works.
I tried to flash various images via »fastboot flash boot/recovery/system«, but nothing worked out.
I flashed the files from Razri_Root_Linux, two files (retail central europe) from here sbf.droid-developers, but nothing helped, every reboot leads to the red M.
I read about RSD-Lite, tried to install it under Win7, got it, but was lost after the Program always complained about an invalid xml.
Since i don't own that machine i went back to my linuxbox where i found sbf_flash, but i don't get it how to put the pieces together (which file/s to use)
Any hints on how to go from here?
[EDIT:] I downloaded 91.2.26001.Retail.en.EU.zip and did all the steps from flashandboot.bat, read
fastboot flash boot
fastboot flash system
fastboot flash recovery
next step ist to select recovery, did this an cwm comes up, sideloaded RAZRiRoot2.zip everything is pisitively quited, no errors are shown.
reboot leads to red M
wiped data/factory reset, reboot
red Logo.
I'm completely lost, please help
[\EDIT]
greetings, D.
I had same problem
Hello.
I had same problem because I did very stupid thing. I flashed homemade JB and because some apps don´t work I tried downgrade my i to ICS back....
My i stucked at the red M then I tried same thing as you and phone still booted into red M.
So I tried in windows cmd and FlashAndRoot.bat from this .zip "91.2.26001.Retail.en.EU - 4.1.2" it did nothing, but I tried to choose in fastboot mode BP Tools, then my i booted and started to flash JB what I can see in command window. Phone was still connected to PC. After next reboot my phone has work normally with JB.
I hope to help you. Let me know.

I tried this, and display on razr i says »Booting into BP Tools mode…«
and nothing more happens, display stays on…
and after some time pc automounts a "cd-rom drive" with some motorola files (Autorun.inf MDMSetup.xml MotorolaDeviceManagerSetup.exe MDMSetup.ini MotorolaDeviceManager_2.2.28)
but it still won't reboot…
i don't know.
Hi.
I had opened command window, "FlashAndRoot.bat" was running (I pressed any key) process was running (it means freezing ) and at this time I chose in fastboot booting into BP tools mode. My phone did restart and after it "FlashAndRoot.bat" process started to flash JB. After flashing my phone is going normally with JB. But some apps don´t work in JB.

Doesn't work. :crying:
since i use linux i opened FlashAndRoot.bat in texteditor and executed the comands from there in terminal
only chance for the script to stop and wait is IMHO(correct-me-if-i'm-wrong) "adb wait-for-device push RAZRiRoot2.zip /sdcard/RAZRiRoot2.zip & adb reboot bootloader"
but that message "Booting into BP Tools mode…" just stays there forever, or does it take longer than 5minutes?

In my case it booted within 10 second and ran.
I am noob, I am writing just my experience. I couldn´t give you another advice, sorry.
I'm not sure how far the real installation went, but i would find Windows computer, get RSD (6.0-6.14) and try to flash ICS first. If failed due to impossibility of downgrading, then try JB. While you are able to boot to Recovery - don't loose hope yet

Yeah. I'm still stuck at the red logo, or indeed, at a blueish "Bootloader unlocked warnig" message since i was able to install parts of an image from sbf.droid-developers. But flashing always fails while trying to flash system.img_signed.
After reading and trying a lot these last days i think i have to install windows somewhere just to get rsd-lite to run.
sbf_flash for linux didn't work for me and fastboot gives stange warnings about "Invalid sparse file format at header magi"…
so i'll give rsd a try before i give up. As i read in posts by HSDPilot, this is the only tool that works
thanks for your help!

[Q] 4.4 OTA bricked - fastboot inaccessible !

I had android GE 4.3 on it, rooted.
I have the original GE bootloader (that robot) installed.
I downloaded the official 4.4 update through android, rebooted for install.
Now after the install the phone does not boot up anymore, instead it goes into RECOVERY and shows that triangle robot.
I tried wipe of cache and data wipe.
Whatever i try I am not able to get this device into fastboot / bootloader anymore!
It takes longer than usual,, it is stuck in that HTC screen since I have unlocked the bootloader but it does not enter the usual menu.
Instead it just directly goes to the robot.
I tried about everything I could think about,
It seems the OTA really bricked my phone by damaging the bootloader so it does not load at all anymore.?!?!
The only USB accessible feature I see is that in the robot screen it registers a device through USB.
Sadly not ADB or fastboot, it is a volume. It even loads as volume but is inaccessible (like a CD without disk)
Windows recognizes it as WDP FileSystem.
I doubt this will help at all, just wanted to note it.
I am about to throw the phone into trash, if it had not been so expensive.. Anything that can be done to repair this brick ?

Now search for the right adb and fastboot driver. There is a .msi installer (adb + fastboot .msi) something like that. Than push the right recovery via fastboot. Voila

Hi,
I solved it.
It took about 30-50 reboots until the phone entered the fastboot menu.
The problem was that the phone kept skipping the whole fastboot menu and went into recovery instead.
A very strange firmware bug caused by the failed OTA

Soft brick and fastboot

hey i got a z today and i root it with towelroot, after that i unlocked the bootloader or at least tried (it siad succses for the first time then i tought i made a mistake maybe and tried again, and it got stuck every time.)
anyway everytime i tried putting recovery or flash an img on fastboot, it said failed,
somehow (and i dont know how) i got to have cmw recovery on it, altough everytime it failed for no appreant reason,
even flashmod didnt work. anyway i installed a rom, and it soft bricked (you know vibrate and show a flicking red light on the led)
and i dont know what to do in both modes i get a fail no matter what i do, even with flashtool and even with cmd prompt
i need help, im working sunday and i wont be home for 3 weeks i need to fix it,
tnx in advance,
sorry for the double posting,
btw,i can enter both mode from the soft brick, to fastboot and flashmod
and the error it tell me is "to many links"
C6603 and even in the unlocking procces its says (thorugh sony website) FAILD command not allowed
Already done that. And fix it. Thank you all

i am Stuck at recovery with no adb working or download mode

so my friend the phone owner accepted OTA update he was rooted phone model is F340k and he was stuck at recovery and he wiped every thing without backup and gave it to me and i tried every thing i installed SphinX ROM still was stuck at recovery and then i done the most stupid thing i flashed the original recovery so the phone was bricked but the BULK 9006 mode was working so i fixed it via the Ubuntu method i extracted the needed files from the kdz file for my model and i had recovery working again with adb working and all so i tried flashing SphinX ROM again still was stuck and then i tried these command lins from twrp recovery terminal
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/fota
and
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc
and after these command lins ADB and MTP not working so now i am stuck at lg logo but i can still go to recovery and when t try to open download mode i am stuck at the blue 5 dots so is it bricked now is it fixable what else can i do ?
finally the phone is fixed it turns out that otg was working it was not working before the 2 command lines so when i found out i extracted laf.img from the kdz file and flashed it from the twrp terminal with this command "dd if=/sdcard/laf.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf" and so the download mode was fixed and i flashed it with stock firmware with kdz method and it is working flawlessly again

locked in bootloop and adb wont connect, rom wont flash from sd error 21

Hi Community,
I was rooted and got some nasty popup virus, then I factory reseted through settings. Everything was fine, then I entered in my software "superuser" and he said he would reinstall something, then booom bootloop!
I tried factory resetting through fastboot didnt work;
I tried flashing stockrom, latest rom, downgrade rom and the error is the same:
Verifying update package...
E: footer is wrong
Update package verification took 0.2 s (result 1).
E: Signature verification failed
E: error: 21
Installation aborted
ADB doesnt recognize my device!!! guess because after rebooting I never re authorized usb debugging mode or oem..
What Can I do now? any help appreciated
Hey, just try this Guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x4/development/flash-official-frmware-moto-x4-t3730750
Everything is described there.
If your Device is on Android One, don't take the Rom from the thread but from this link: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939834159

I believe you don't need adb to recognize your device if your flashing OEM firmware from the bootloader (and you have the bootloader unlocked). As long as you can boot into the bootloader you should be able to flash the stock firmware. I got my Moto x4 into a bootloop and was able to revert it back to the stock firmware even though my phone didn't have usb debugging enabled and my PC wasn't authorized for my phone. Follow these commands

thanks for the response, but i cant load any commands, because I cant connect my pc to the phone. Ive got an option called "apply update from sd card" and "Apply update from ADB" when i try the first it gives error 21, when i try the second it comes to a blank screen asking me to "Now send the package you want to apply to the device with "adb sideload <filename>" and I cant, because there is no connection..

Did you install Motorola fastboot drivers?
The menu what you talk about is Recovery. Look if there's an option to boot to bootloader. If not go down to reboot the device and keep VOL-Down pressed so it reboots to bootloader. There you can just use fastboot commands.
sleeptab said:

I did, I used to workaround with adb and sending commands, but the command prompt would recognize my device, now, even in bootloader when I plug it in bootloader says: usb plugged in, but the pc wont see my device... im almost crying here lol
