Touchscreen Response App - G Tablet Themes and Apps

Tried this app from the Market (freebie).... give it a shot, seems to help.

found in the Sensation forums; follow the recommended settings. As usual, YMMV.

Wow, this works great!

[Q]Netflix playing in fast forward

Anyone got any ideas on this? I can't find much info about this glitch. Youtube plays fine but Netflix just plays in fast forward.
Emmc using Darlingrin's OC.
update-cm-7.1.0-RC0-encore-2.6.32-beta3.1
Read around. Have to change your build.prop file.
Still rocking the Incredible with the XDA Premium App.

Changing the build.prop file did nothing. It still works the same way. Everything plays in double time. It's rather amusing for a few seconds and then extremely annoying. Anyone have any other ideas?
Solved! Changed the build prop from Samsung to HTC. Works great now.
Tried this with no luck. Still chipmunks! Market says it will work with NC

you need to reboot your system after making that change. Assuming you are running a .32 kernel, the build.prop change WILL work.
I am running [Kernel][Eclair][Froyo][CM7] Dalingrin's OC kernel [6/09/11].rebooted, reinstalled still not working.
Make sure that the changes are actually saving. This video (not mine) was pretty helpful.

Use
Vision for model
HTC for manufacturer
Works for me every time.
I have noticed this with my nook color as well. The HTC Vision fix didn't help. EDIT - got it working. Would changing the device type adjust the resolution at all?

Not at all. That is set elsewhere. Regardless of what your device think's its model is (HTC vision or Nook), it knows its resolution is 1024x600. There is no database relating specific model strings to specific screen resolutions.

How did you get it to work? I tried and could not get it to work. I'm wondering if I'm taking some of this too literally. I used Root Explorer and changed to this:
ro.product.model=HTC Vision
ro.product.manufacturer=HTC
Should I remove the "HTC <space>" that is in front of Vision on the ro.product.model line and leave it simply as:
ro.product.model=Vision
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

zoomy942,
Thanks for the link. I had already downloaded it and was migrating it over to my device when you replied. I tried it and get an error notification when I try to install it. I even tried using Astro and AndroZip to locate and install it since the standard installation app didn't do it. I was able to do it with other apps, but am running into a snag.
The only issue I'm suffering is that Netflix, while it playing audio/video, sounds like The Chipmunks on crack by playing at 2x-3x speed instead of standard. Any ideas on these questions.

hi again. what error are you getting? That will help us get to the bottom of your troubles.
PZ
It's not even installing. There's no install prompt like in most sideloaded apks. I don't get it. My friend got it to work on his Nook Color, but I'm stumped. I hhave wiped the cache and then uninstalled Netflix, then sideloaded the version on my Droid 2 running Liberty 2.0 and it even updated from the market. Each time I try it I get the 2x-3x speed issue. I will log on from my laptop and try to copy the exact error I get later.
Again, thanks for your help.

Forgot where I saw it first but I just edited build.prop to make the market think my phone was a nexus one and downloaded it directly. Worked every time.

Won't let me access the link!
I'd really appreciate a chance to try this out. Is it because I have less than 10 posts? It does say that that's just to post on the dev forum. I just want to download it.
dunno if it was a fluke for me, but i just Odin'd EG22 (Source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1184134) and searched Netflix in the stock marketplace app. Found that it wasn't blocked from the epic anymore. Figured i'd give that a try before running the modified versions. Found the app, and installed without a problem. Loads MUCH faster too. Came from EF02.
EDIT/ maybe my marketplace has been tweaked already?... didn't read anything about that and says its stock... anyways give it a shot

As ultimate said just download from the market.

yeah, the app is downloadable from the market and it does work on my Epic running SRF 1.2 atop Genocide 1.1. the overall responsiveness is a bit sluggish, and only being able to access my instant queue is really annoying - you'd think an official Netflix app could have an actual means of managing you DVD queued - but streaming video absolutely works.
thanks, tried it out and works like a charm.
For some reason Netflix still has the poor quality buttons at the top of the app. I'm not sure if its suppose to be like that, but has anyone experienced that?
its not a big deal, just curious.

The app buttons stink. But even the website buttons look screwy sometimes on Chrome. I think it's just Netflix not keeping their tech up to snuff. Maybe that's why they are changing the rates on their plans.

All browsers fc after root and 883 radio flash

I followed the instructions in the first post in the guide on this forum for unlocking the phone for use on at$t. Have my staright talk sim and changed my apn, all data works fine when using any of the apps ike the facebook app or youtube or downloading apps from play but when i open the browser it immediately force closes. Was kind of annoyed but just thought i would download and try a different browser, that was a no go and 3 browsers later i still cant get any of them to work. Dolphin hd will open but when you put in a web address it fc. Any idea what i might have broken that all these browsers seem dependent on? Btw running a stock rom, havent gotten brave enough yet to try flashing custom roms. This was my first attempt at altering an android device so I'm trying to take it slow and earn everything i can to avoid becoming a bricklayer. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. If i have to i will take it back to factory and try again but thought i would give the experts a chance at educating the noob.

Just wanted to say thanks. Tried using a different builld.prop and everything works great now. Much thanks to those who contributed. This helped cut my bill in half and the data speeds are much better in my area on at$t. Looking forward to reading all the great info on this forum and learning to put it to use
