Here is a new model i have never seen before:
Galaxy S i9000T said to be shipping with Froyo and supports US 3g on 850/1900/2100Mhz
This is a model from South America.
I contacted the seller on eBay asking him if the FROYO it is shipping with is something they installed on the phone. He replied that it is shipping with FROYO from Samsung....
So i ordered one and i should be getting it soon. I'll report back to share which version of froyo is installed on the phone...
Googling i9000T hardly brings any information, but i did found the manual of the device and it does support NAM 3g bands.
Sounds fishy but good luck. Could be just the beta/test version of Froyo released by Samsung through Kies. But good luck.
Edit: Just found something interesting. It seems that this version of the Galaxy S is tailored to run on certain bands (850Mhz) like Telstra's NextG network. Since Telstra is getting this phone soon (whenever Optus 'exclusive' contract runs out) I'm pretty certain it would ship with Froyo. Could be the real deal especially when looking at the sellers credentials.

This is the galaxy s that telstra will be getting according to the research I did earlier. Unfortunately i can't remember which website told me that, and I've looked at about 50...
Also, unfortunately, telstra will apparently only be offering this phone free on the $99 dollar plan. All lower plans require buying the handset outright. $954 aus.
Talk about price yourself out of the market.
Try these.

Any info on the device OP?

yep, that is the Latin America model that we put on the wiki a while ago
many have reported it already on previous post specially countries from Central America
Yea i gott off eBay and it works very well in the US.
it is OEM and does not have any carrier logo on it.
It shipped with XXJP3 froyo from the eBay seller ,which is one of the older buggy froyo releases.
I flashsed it with a more recent froyo version and it works fine.
It support 850/1900/2100mhz WCDMA, just like the Bell model.

so it was a fake Froyo after all
what does the STICKERS says inside the battery compartment?
is it an authentic i9000t ?
Oh nice, I wasn't aware of this model. Maybe I'll just replace my i9000M with this instead of the GT-i9000...
@Clubtech: Are you able to flash all the latest ROMs and CSCs without any issues? Also is your download mode working? What is the button combination for the i9000T?

No problems whatsoever (unlike the corruption i had with the i9000M).
I did ask the seller to make sure the 3 buttons work as i know some i9000T has them disabled.
Awesome. Thanks for the info. I think I'll go this route. I don't want another ticking time bomb (i9000m). Samsung's warranty policy is piss poor compared other companies.

and which is the lastest version?
Thx a lot for your help
I am needing the original firmwares for this device if anyone knows where I can get them.
I live in Mexico, and got my SGS last week. it is the i9000T, but it has 2.1 on it. Branded, loaded with some crapware but most of the Samsung apps are on it. Had Yahoo search bar but when I installed google voice search with market enabler it searches google by default (even though it still shows the Yahoo logo on the bar). One thing I do miss is a native gmail app.

The I9000m uses the same parts as the I9000T for the exception of the modem which is a I9000m version.
I discovered there are multiple models of the Galaxy Tab 7", and I want the best one for rooting/romming/modding etc. Basically I need to root it, allow it to connect to an ad-hoc network, take out some unnecessary features like Samsung's pre-installed software that I can't uninstall, and make the most out of the tab because I plan on keeping it several years.
I currently have the GT-P1000, but I live in America and it's not the most convenient version with the European power supply and constant request by the tablet to put in a SIM card. I want to get the Verizon version but I've seen various things on how well it's been hacked. If I were to get an American version, which one would be the best for modding?
Definately get the ATT version. Its basically like the European tab with some branding. Most of the firmwares and kernels are made for GSM tabs and work perfectly with this tab. Its super easy to root and upgrade the firmware to gingerbread. I know from experience (its the tab that I have)

So I ended up purchasing an International S5 Mini, which I didn't catch at first. When I got the phone in another language, I figured I'd been screwed. Turns out, it is working well with AT&T, it allowed me to change default to English (I'm in the United States) but the region is (XEH) - Hungary I believe.
When 5.0 comes out, does anyone know if it will be possible to change the region for my SM-G800F? The current issue I have, is that LTE is not functional due to (I'm guessing) the region issue. I am not currently having any other types of issues other than not getting what I am paying for through AT&T (LTE 4g speed).
I'm also willing to entertain a different ROM if that will work, as my phone is already unlocked. Not sure how region codes are affected by ROM (I'm an amateur Odin user - just enough to be dangerous).
Thanks.
The LTE does not work, because AT&T runs on a different band (1700MHz) than European countries do (1800MHz), so that will never work.
Regarding the regional issue, check out this post: http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-change-csc-in-samsung-galaxy-phones/
I'm planning on changing regions but I'm not sure which one to use. What would you guys recommend?
Also, can this be done after a reset of the watch or do I have to go through the whole CSC process?
I was asking myself the same question last night. I searched all the threads related to BP and region change with no luck.
I was also trying to find the combination and stock roms for TK1 version but seems like all the sites that have the files are pay to download. (I don't mind paying but paying around $20 to get 2 files?)
Anyway, if anyone know the answer to the OP's question, I will also appreciate it.
ZTO everything works
Hi everyone, I’m writing from Italy.
In October I bought a galaxy watch3 LTE from Amazon.USA and imported it here in Italy, cause it was not available yet here, it was released in the lte version only recently.
I didn’t know that the watch was not compatible here in Italy, but only for the US, and after the last update of a week ago I’m having issues with the watch, like connection problems, notifications not appearing on the watch and also the LTE is not working.
I tried to contact both Samsung US and Amazon US, but they both told me that they cannot do anything to help me, no replacement or return, nothing.
So I searched online if there was a way to change my watch software from US to Italy, and with my extreme surprise I found out that there is the possibility to change the region of the watch to every country in the world.
My questions are: what can I do to change the region of my US galaxy watch3 LTE? There are any compatible ways to do that? Will the change of the region prevent my watch to get future updates? And after the change will I be able to use LTE here in Italy?
Thanks to everyone who will reply!!
P.S. I have to change the current SM-R845U (that is a US version) to an SM-R845F (that should be an Italian version, right?)

I believe you should check the lte chip in your watch to make sure it is compatible with italian mobile operators.
