Okay, i have been using O2x for a month and i feel that on performance wise is just average.
So i would like to ask people out here to rate these 4 phone on performance basics:
(1 - 5, 5 being the best)
Samsung Galaxy S II
HTC Sensation
Motorola Atrix
LG Optimus 2x
With a custom rom and CPU at the same speed as Galaxy 2, you get almost the same scores.
People have to inform wich rom and Cpu speed they are using.
Otherwise this threat has no use.

i dont know how the performance of the other devices is but the stock o2x system is really slow compared to cm7 and probably most custom roms.

I have my O2X with CM7.
Love it. Infact, i like this better than the SGSII. The SGSII's build quality turn me off actually.
Just have a couple of problems now:
1. Battery could be slightly better
2. The LCD Bleeding is still a bit irritating.
I have been reading screen bleeding, but what does screen bleeding means?
Agree CM7 is really good. To bad about the A2DP.

You get what you pay for. And o2x is the best at this. For less than 340€ you get dual core, tegra, nice screen.
If money isnt a factor go for S2

SGS2 vs O2X
As of now I`m epecting my O2X to arrive within the next days, giving away a, besides crappy batterylife, excellent SGS2. But after a line of only HTC made handsets and therewith highest quality experienced ever, I just can`t live with only one day juice on actually doing NOTHING than just NOT touching the phone, maybe one or two short calls. So from my point of view: As long as battery threads filling every known forum for SGS2 ---> hands off!!
Performance is brilliant though.........
Hope O2X can do at least better here.
If you don't touch it you'll get more than a day, if you use it, not so much.
Would wish I had bought the Galaxy S2 instead
I own all of the phones listed above, the S2 is great on stock, 2X is god on CM7. Atrix is no good. Sensation is pretty much average but is snappy.
So preferences based on performance.
1. S2 - Stock Rom PWNS
2. 2X - CM7s Top pick
3. Sensation - Dust specs in screen.
4. Atrix - No good CFW, stock is dead too.
Haha i also wish i have bought the sgs2

in original form the phone is junk, sure it's basic android but LG dropped the ball with putting 2.2.2 on this device. after rooting the phone and installing CM7 the phone is pure magic. Everything flies, smooth, that's how it should of been from the beginning. Either way i'm jumping ship when nexus prime comes out.
Adding to you your rank, i think the 2x is better than the sII due to the fact the sII feels like paper in my hand. Construction wise it's crap, i rather have some weight to my phone than a piece of paper, hardware wise the sII is better with a better screen/pictures/video but i think the phones are on par if you update the 2x to CM7. I havn't use any of the other phones.
I bought 2 LG Optimus 2X - one had many problems with reboots and lockups, this one I have now replaced with an SGS II
So currently I have the O2x and the SGS II (my son uses the O2x)
No doubt the SGS II is wastly superior to the O2x - stock rom just works so beautifully, partly because of more ram and a newer Android version, partly because of less bugs than the O2x. The camera is much better on the SGS II for still photography and alot faster to use to, but videorecording I find is better on the O2x (mainly better sound quality).
Construction wise the SGS II is not crap at all, just because its lighter doesnt make it crap. The construction build are actually very good, theres no squicking or anything and its very sturdy despite being so light. I had my fears regarding the SGS II feeling to plasticy but it doesnt. The thin backplate are very flexible and almost unbreakable.
The big screen is nice, quality of screen is very good, allthough the O2x screen have better whites. Touchresponse of the SGS II are better than the O2x. Battery last longer in the SGS II, I almost get 3 days of average use, where i get 1½-2 days max on the O2x. Music and video are a joy to play. And theres no sign of any lag anywhere. Not like on the O2x where it lags when you install from market for instanse.
I still like the O2x, it got nice design, feels like quality, hardware is good, the LG software changes are not too intrusive to basic android, but it simply just doesnt perform the way it should. LG messed up with this.
To many problems with the reebooting and lockups still being experienced by so many people even after almost 6 months since release. And even when it doesnt reboot or lockup its still running a flawed Android Froyo 2.2 which lags in situations where it shouldent (being a powerfull dualcore phone etc.) - you just dont feel like theres any headroom, like you do on the SGS II where the feeling is more like "nothing can slow down this phone". Just feels completely snappy all the time no matter what you do.
I have a friend who just bought an O2x 2 weeks ago, and he is now also experiencing the random reboots and lockups, despite being on latest stock firmware and the phone being completely new (so not some early batch).
Sure you can install custom roms, most have issues of their own and most dont really make the phone that more stable or that more fast or fluent/smooth in daily operations (I dont care what various test software scores are, its real life performance that count) - besides one should never have to install custom rom's to make a phone usable, this is the manufacturers responsibility. Sure you can install custom rom if you want to play around, but it shouldent have to be a nescessity or something being recommended to "fix the phone functionality". You buy a phone, it should work out of the box, period.
All in all I cant really recommend the O2x anymore, sadly. To much of a risk of getting a phone that wont make you satisfied because of the various issues.
It may change when gingerbread are released, but seing what LG has done sofar during 6 months for this phone doesnt leave me impressed or expecting any wonders from their gingerbread
after 3 months using o2x, LG made major mistakes
1. they stock rom is 2.2 if we compare from sgs2, htc sensation. they already use 2.3 for their stock. even atrix which has the stock from 2.2 they can do the fast upgrade to 2.3 rather than o2x.
2. the memory of o2x is low compare with sgs2(1GB), sensation(768MB), atrix(1GB). this is dual core phone and why LG only put the memory 512MB???
and the cpu is still in the same range between sgs2,sensation, and atrix.
that's my opinion
i have one random reboot(using old rom v10b) upgrade to v10dESA, v10dEUROPE, and v10eESA no random reboot, and have problem once with the wifi but after the baseband is upgrade it's ok so i can't complain about it
I think the Optimus 2x is a great phone, just that the software portion needs more customizing. Hardware wise I think the 2x can compete with the rest.

Hello everyone I'm really interested in new android phone. Currently I own a Xperia x10 which is very laggy and low call volume. I'm a girl so I want something easy to use. So which phone you guys think is good nexus s or 2x and i live in Vancouver BC.
Thanks

I've had both, the O2X is much more powerful, stock software's not the best, but CM is coming.
I think the nexus s might be a better choice considering it has a completely stock Gingerbread (2. 3) which leaves a lots of room for customization. The LG O2x will soon be upgraded from Froyo (2. 2) but I doubt LG will be able to make their crappy homescreen any less laggy and useful. If you're picky about speed and respond like me then you will end up using a third party homescreen anyway. The LG bloatwares kept giving me problems which drove me crazy (LG screen locker is the worst I have seen and the battery-hogging F-Secure cannot be stopped... ). I ended up having to root the phone and delete them manually. My sister has the first nexus and I was pleasantly surprised how little I had to do with it.
On the hardware performance front the LG is clearly the stronger one with its Terra 2 chip. The minus side is that it eats battery faster (not sure if the drain is because of the hardware or stubborn bloatwares) The Nexus might last you longer.
Also, you will always receive latest system update first with the Nexus, being a Google phone and all.
By the way, take a look at the new LG G2X. It's basically the same phone as the O2X but comes with completely stock Android.

You say calling is important for you i would not go for the 2x. For me thats the poorest device for calling i ever owned. Low quality and low volume.
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App
I would not aggre about the call quility i have the LG and find the phone quility on call is good but iam using custom rom so weather that has any effect but not had any problems with calls and as for speed the thing flys no blot ware using 20.4-11 MoDaCo FR12 Fear Edition 5.2
take the 2x its must better then Nexus s, call quility is good 100 times better then my old fon! and the battery time is also better then nexus s.
If you care about the exterior, i'd say the O2X is a better choice, the nexus S kinda has a cheap plastic feeling, whereas the O2X feels really good.

In fairness, I thought the build of the Nexus S was pretty decent, better than I was expecting at least. Volume buttons were a little lose though.
Hi
I have a motorola milestone smartphone. Now i have an opportunity that have a second new phone. I check the smartphone market and i decided the lg optimus 2x have the best buy/value rate.
What i need:
big screen (milestone hw keyboard will be missed but a big screen will help me out)
fast cpu and gpu (i see some test, some case lg beat even the overhyped sgs2)
solid rock TFT what is usefull in sunlight
elegant clean design
sgs2 is not an option, its too expensive and overhyped. buy/value rate is terrible. sgs2 almost cost like an iphone and a little better than O2X. its not woth it.
iphone is not an option because...i better dont say anything
i see some blog and post that optimus 2x software is not too good, but in here i found many more good custom rom, so i reflash the phone anyway, and the official gb rom is coming out any moment anyway. (my milestone also run a CM7 based rom, i almost never use the stock)...
...so the software gliches is not interested me.
based on the hardware and the design i think lg optimus 2x is worth the money.
so im right and lg optimus 2x is worth it, a good descendant for my milestone?
As you want it for CM, I would say it's worth it.
Unless you love FM radio & A2SP, then you're screwed
Muhahahaha
Edit: that was on behalf of LG developers

i dont like the sgs2, i hesitate between the o2x and desire s, but o2x is not just faster but much more elegant.
sgs2 too much overhyped and expensive, and i have negative experience with the company other products too, so i not buy sgs2, not even if sgs2 will the last android phone on earth
The Desire S is basically just a smaller Desire HD
For me optimus 2x was the worst buy ever. After 2 units I've bough SGS2.
I understand that for some people it can be expensive, but there is more phones better than O2X at the almost same price.
Take a look at Galaxy R I9103.

Here in Sweden it costs 399 euro.
If you like Tegra 2, it will be perfect phone for you. Anyway my advice is stay away from O2X.

It's interesting how opinions are split. Those who had "problem" devices swear they'll never buy LG again. Those who've had no problems, or their problems went away after flashing a firmware update/CM/modaco rom etc. seem to be quite happy.
When I decided to buy my o2x it was on Amazon with a significant price cut, cheaper than basically any similar specced phone. I received a lemon which has now gone for repair. I don't know what your odds of getting a good, working device are if you buy this phone.
considering all the comments i still think that o2x is a good choice.
Hello. until the past week i was very satisfied by the O2x and i have stock room and works fine for me. The worst what happened to me is that my usb conection with pc don't work anymore. Works only the carging of battery. Don't advice you buy this phone or other from LG. what is cheap is bad.
I have to say that this phone I bought from LG recently was a good buy option. I have looked at the other options out there. If you're looking for Dual Core, there are better specs yes, but then again, the software which is out there hasn't yet utilized the dual core technology. Bang for buck, the optimus 2x is a good buy and this coming from a guy who is sticking to a stock rom and resisting the temptation to go over to CM7.
I had this phone for 2 days, I skipped the lg rom completely and installed cm7 directly
I think its a bargain for the price, problem is that the support is pretty ridiculous from both lg and nvidia not updating / releasing the code.
It could be a beast if well supported, for example Nvidia showed a prototype in February with Skype HD video calling thanks to 1080p video decoding in hardware, have you seen that released ? No, skype doesn't even support standard video calling because tegra 2 doesn't support the "skype technology" (NEON).
It's useless for companies to show off what they can do bla bla bla... if they never implement stuff!
A revolution could arrive in ICS if Google decides to use Tegra 2 as the standard hardware
The phones over a year old now. I only picked mine up used almost half a year ago for 200 USD. The phone's price really plummeted in just over half a year didn't it? Even now it hasn't dropped further as it hit its rock bottom way back then. High end phones that are older and with less specs cost the same as this as its really unpopular. An example being the Galaxy S.
So in a way its a pretty unsuccessful phone. Reasons? Software support has been terrible, suffering from radio issues. The stock firmware was appalling for a long time. Then the announcement ICS wasn't coming which soon after you saw the price hitting rock bottom. Leading to LG to counter its previous comment and proceed with ICS. Which it probably had no plans to before the backlash. Since the update was due rather late and has since been delayed a quarter.
Hardware wise its not bad. But still outdone by S2's larger screen, double ram and better camera.
All said i'm extremely happy with my first Android especially considering what I paid. But only with the developer support providing the best solutions. If I were a stock user i'd be sorely disappointed, only feeling better for the price.
In terms of my next phone, I want a larger screen 4.7ish but not pocket busting like the note. A better camera but equal to 2X is fine. More RAM because Opera Mobile keeps shutting down when I multitask out for a second, even with an extra 48mb ram hack. Amoled would be nice but not necessary, mainly for its benefits if its sunlight legibility is good. HD is unnecessary in my opinion.
As it stands I probably won't be upgrading for awhile until the likes of the S3 gets cheap. Except its design looks unprofessional. Optimus 4X anyone? :-D They couldn't make the same mistakes again right? Right?

some people arent that rich to change expensive phones every 12 months.
My next device will be WITH a good battery, a SD card slot (dumb htc with their one series..almost made them perfect), a good camera (likes of SGS3 or more likely htc one x), and an ARM cortex-a15 based cpu (or krait). and quite importantly, a wolfson micro sound chip (also supported by supercurio ) i dont want screens as large as 4,7 inches though
oh, and i hope it will be a nexus...i want good updates... fuuuu LG
this would be a freaking dream phone. but i aint buying anything until the 2x gives up on me, i still really like it
So far i had 2 android phones with the optimus being my second one. I have noticed that all those "specs" do not matter. What matters is a good software. Therefore i would move to a nexus devices when my optimus gets completely destroyed or really useless. No need to keep throwing money on phones if they cannot completely replace my laptop.
I will go for a SGS2 or 3 or a Nexus.
Hopefully soon. Tired of all the probs with my LGOS
currently, my o2x running temasek kang, it give me what i want to do
still waiting for the stable cm9, then will use it about a year
my next phone maybe the galaxy s4
I think I'm buying a S3 or nexus. And what Arkara said, I agree that specs don't matter as much as the software support.
Seeing as the S2 a friend of my has, still running stock since launch and no factory resets: Smooth as hell, fast and long battery. Galaxy Nexus is also stable.
Maybe my phone has a bad chip or something like that but the FD issues are to much and the battery life is overall the same for me no matter the BB or RIL. No more Tegra for me.

Nexus seems like the popular choice among us. I think specs matter still otherwise you wouldn't be after a high end phone. I personally have grown accustomed to CM's flexibility and features so i'm not really after software support. Except as we know in our 2X case it lacks drivers for us to update to.
Of course a stable good software release is important, afterall custom ROM users are a minor aspect in comparison to sales. But in the S3's case Samsung are trying to differentiate and add value through the software extras. That's great for most but if your not using it you're paying for nothing.
At least the idea behind the S2 was hardware and just the right software to make it run. This time around Samsung are making moves inspired by their biggest rival in their eyes, Apple. They like to poke fun and criticise Apple but they would prefer nothing more than to be them. The design, the marketing and the software are all in their footsteps.
What do 2X users here think of the iPhone anyway? I think it's like our polar opposite in the high end. The super expensive overrated and over hyped hardware with good closed software popular phone compared to the piss cheap higher spec phone with miserable software and success.

Well, they sure as hell have a long way to go as far as design goes. Pretty much all android phones do. They are butt ugly. The Optimus 2x is actually one of the prettier ones imo! The Galaxy S2 for instance is a design disaster.
I'm not a fan of the iOS, though. When I use it, on my Ipod Touch, I get the feeling that I am being treated like an idiot.
I will have a close look at the ASUS Padfone.
If it only had a 720p screen, I would have bought it.
When the Rumors about 5 new Nexus devices for Jelly Bean come true I hope ASUS makes one of the phones. I love their build quality and design. They also are the fastest when it comes to updates and patches.
I also think that the Optimus 2X is among the prettiest phones. This was the reason I picked it instead of the Galaxy SII (the price was similar at launch).
With CM7.2 UNOFFICIAL (I also use temaseks build) the phone is very good and I get a good battery life lately since I turn my phone off and back on right aufter I unplug it from the charger in the mornings. The only thing I don't like is the Battery life when I use it a lot for webbrowsing and games.
My next Phone will have a 720p display, a bigger battery and more RAM.
SD Card slot, swappable battery are things I would very much miss if they were not available on my next phone. Optimus 4X maybe, Huawei D Quad maybe, Jelly Bean Nexus possibly or the Padfone?
I´m tired of the 2x....
...because of the politics from LG.
The stects of that phone were really good, but as it was said before: Good software ist more worth than good hardware.
I think my next Phone will be the next SGS or a Nexus.
What i need:
SD-Card
huge RAM
720p Display
LTE
NFC
good Cam
Hi there.
Atm i'm using an htc desire with cm7, runs really well, but i do notice the phone is getting quite old.
Thought about upgrading to an LG 2X.
Is it worth it ?
Are you happy with your 2X ?
One of the reasons i'm looking a LG is because all the new phones, while fancy, are so freaking big, i mean, 4,7" screen, that's hardly a phone any more, that's a mini tablet. The 2X is one of the only dualcore phones with less than a 4,3" screen.
I don't use my phone for games, i use it as a phone, navigation and some browsing.

So unless there is something else they screwed up on the hardware, this seems to be my next phone of choice.

Just remember, when you buy this device, by it for what it has now. The possibility for ICS is shaky due to LG/Nvidia. So if you like GB go for this phone, If not get a nexus s or galaxy nexus as those are guaranteed updates.

But it does get ics, right?
I mean, it clearly has the hardware to run it.
According to LG, yes. The 2X will get ICS. The real question is when. LG first announced that the 2X would get ICS in Q2, now it's been delayed to Q3. We're all eagerly awaiting for that.
All in all, as others have said, the 2X is a great device.

Don't BUY it! I swear you will regret it! LG's never gonna release the ICS update not now, not ever!
SAVE YOURSELF! Do it for us O2x owners ;( *silently dying*
I vote for YES! )
This device is so powerful. The hardware is decent. Only software just not satisfied. But if you love to do something/tweak, then it is fine. But if you just like end-user who only use the phone out of box, you are welcome too but don't complain this and that. ifyouknowwhatimean
With the price so much cheap (in my country,LOL) it is so worth to own it.
About ICS, maybe LG want to focus on 4x HD 1st, then after end promote their 2012 flagship then only they focus on 2x. HOPEFULLY. haha
Don't make the mistake to buy a LG2X or a Terga2 tegra3 device !
its a great phone. but lg are a pain, they took ages to release the official gb, they announce 2x wont get ics, then it will get ics, then it'll get ics in Q2 of 2012. we are now in Q3 and they havent made any comments that i have found to say its been delayed.
LG are rubbish but the phone is good. just keep that in mind, im sure that official ics will arrive but i dont think it'll be any time soon.
again its a great phone, even without the official code the devs here have made a couple of great ICS roms (few bugs obviously) and lots excellent GB rom so think what they;ll be able to do once official ics comes out. - its the only reason im keeping my 2x.
Im happy with my O2X.. Im using ICS rom, as I dont mind its bugs and it's nearly perfect. Everything runs well and I wouldnt change the phone as it fulfills my needs. Give it a try.

I have now had my O2X for more than a year. It is sturdy and reliable and yes, the size is good!!
It is the phone I have had most fun out of and I have been on the mobile phone wave since mobile phones were portable, only with a wheel barrel.
I am rather convinced LG will provide the update to ICS and thus give the drivers to our developers, so we can enjoy fully functioning ICS roms eventually.
For trying new ROMs on, it is just a breeze and there are so many to try, you will be addicted to this sport.
I am a gadget freak as any other man, maybe even a little more, but this device has kept me happy now more than a year and I think it will last a year more!
So, nuff said; I recommend it as a good buy.:good:
BR
Mike.
I don't mind tweaking, the first thing i do after unbox is root.
With my desire i tried many roms, but after a while i figured that CM7 was the best option, nearly no bugs, and good support & development community. But none the less it is getting old, even tho my setup runs butter smooth. CM7 with launcherpro & s2e.
Atm i've got my eyes on one for about 120€, seems like a good deal.
Well, my experience with LG is that most of their products are crap (except TV's maybe), but once in a while they make something good, you just gotta know to steer clear of everything else.
Wondering why some people don't recommend buying tegra 2 or 3 chipsets, they are pretty powerfull. Is the development bad for nvidia chipsets ?

One of the reasons i'm looking a LG is because all the new phones, while fancy, are so freaking big, i mean, 4,7" screen, that's hardly a phone any more, that's a mini tablet. The 2X is one of the only dualcore phones with less than a 4,3" screen.
I don't use my phone for games, i use it as a phone, navigation and some browsing.

Hi fusk!
I am really happy about my O2X, but I'm a bit surprised at the reasons you are giving for choosing an O2X.
Actually, it is precisely when I'm browsing that I think a bigger screen would come in handy.
If that's what you use it the most for, I would consider looking into the galaxy S2, if I were you. It has a bigger 4.3" screen BUT the phone is practically the same size as an O2X (I have had both in my hand and was able to compare them myself). The S2 has much better screen/phone size ratio, as the O2X wastes a lot of space at the bottom.
Of course, the O2X is still 25% cheaper than an S2... but if your only criteria is size, the S2 is more or less the same size of the O2X with a bigger screen.
EDIT: Just saw your post where you said you were "eyeing" one for 120 EUR... I would be careful about buying older O2X's... there were a lot of people reporting BSOD (black screen of death) while charging and random restarts. I bought mine early this year and I've had none of that even in stock ROM, so I would say the more recent batches are better.

I've had my desire for 1½ years, and used it for all those things, never thought my screen was small, it had a perfect size.
I have played with the S2 and i don't like the size, But you are right that sizewise they are pretty close. But so are many phones. Going from 3.7 to 4.7 is a huge difference, but from 3.7 to 4, and from 4 to 4.3 are small diffrences.
But as i think the HTC desire which weirdly enough is the same size as an iphone is the perfect size. I am trying to stay as close to HTC desire size as possible while bumping the hardware specs. Instead of looking at the S2 i found the S1 to be more interesting.
Actually i think this is very interesting. Android and W8 phones are getting bigger and bigger, but the iphone stays the same, while getting 5mm longer it keeps the formfactor. And i'm quite sure all of them have done extensive research on what people want, but clearly two very different results. I'm one of those who wants to keep the desire formfactor with new specs.

I see, have to take that into consideration.
Guys I am seriously considering this phone, but I am seeing some similarities (of the bad kind) between this and the g2x.
Now Im not talking meltdown, but this is an lg phone and from tha same optimus family.
I was with the g2x from day one and am fully versed on the bs lg pulled with us on that phone.
Are there any current owners who had the g2x and are starting to see trends for this?
Also is any one using this on at&t?
Would really like some honest opinions comparing the two( i dont mean spec wise because yeah hd screen quad core etc of course its hardware wise better)
IM picking up an lg hd nitro as a backup phone ( yes its true im a phone junkie and my habbit seems to be getting worse...) because I switch phones...a lot..and tired of going with out a phone for a week or so.
Any ways, I did try to search for similar threads but came up with nothing.
Lg claimed this screen was the shizzle of all phones....opinions? (yes I know there is a phone screen thread but may as well include this who knows maybe someone else was wondering the same)
How has lg been with this phone support wise, releasing drivers(i know I know stupid question and right now youre asking if im trolling you), I see there are some issues with root.
ANyways thanks guys.
No issues with root, we have root already.
Now we are working on cracking/bypassing the bootloader lock so we can flash ROMs.
LG Optimus 4X was the first phone as far as I know to be shown with CM10 running. We also have one of the Virtuous Devs with one of these now who will be helping with CM10, so I'm really excited about the ROMs this phone will see.
In terms of support we have already had 2 or 3 three updates since launch, but tbh, I'm not too worried as once we get the bootloader/recovery sorted I'll be loading CM10 onto my phone, which already seems to be better supported than my Sensation ever was with them.
I own a g2x, I know all its ills. But still decided for o4x. I don't regret. It looks good. Hardware matches feature to feature with s3 and ones with better pricing at least a couple of hundred dollars less. LG hardware is more robust than HTC and Samsung as per my experience. Also not to forget O2x/g2x got very strong developers. They are already warming up for o4x.

I have had LG OP2x which had many problems.
I had exactly same worries as you have now when I thought about buying this phone.
But this phone runs flawlessly and I haven't noticed any of the problems that was on the 2x.
The 2x started to lag and freeze about 60 hours of uptime, while this phone have reached 200 hours of uptime without any complains.
The only thing I wish was better in this phone is the camera and in my opinion the picture quality from the 2x's camera was better.
It is a great phone
Best regards

I had 2 o2x phones, the first one with all the bugs, like random reboots and BSODs, the second one was great.
This phone is amazing compared to o2x.. They've all ready rls 2-3 updates and works great.

My only concern on similarity between O2X and O4X is they both use Tegra.
Powerful chip, but it seems difficult to develop, lack of support from maker and handset vendor itself.
I hope it will be much easier now for Tegra3.

The nexus 7 uses Tegra 3, so don't think we got any worries.

I've had no problems using it on at&t. I usually bounce phones around quite a bit

Ok so here is my longish answer to your question
1. I always loved Android but the early phones like the Galaxy S and the Mytouch were laggy and buggy.
2. When the G2x came out it was a step forward. But it was buggy as hell. It was superb when it worked but it didn't work that often. The Weapon ROM fixed things but it still had issues.
3. The Galaxy SII was the first stable, reliable Android that I remember.
4. The Galaxy Nexus was the first phone that could rival the smoothness of the Iphone. Finally, Android did it. There could be no more criticism of Android being slow and buggy or laggy. Jelly Bean made it even better.
5. Then the Galaxy S3 and HTC One X upped the ante even more. These phones are the top two phones in the world.
6. So, I got a LG 4x HD the other day because I got a good deal. So because of everything I typed above I was a little worried that LG would make another buggy phone. Well there is nothing to worry about. This phone is smooth. Very smooth. It rivals the Galaxy S3 and the One X in every way. It is not laggy, it hasn't slowed up or rebooted on me once and I have been using nonstop for four days.
But it is now also my favorite phone ever. I just like the way it looks better than Galaxy S3, Xperia S and the HTC One X. I like the physical buttons at the bottom too and the full size sim card slot, removable battery and Micro SD card slot. I have used all the top phones and this is just as good, ask me what is better between the LG 4X HD and the Galaxy S3 and I would say you are splitting hairs, they are pretty equal. Maybe the Galaxy S3 is a little more polished but the difference is negligable. The screens are close but I choose the 4x's screen by a tad. It really is a beautiful screen. I can't think of a single complaint I have about the LG 4x HD. It is a pleasure to use and I can't stop playing with it.
I can't wait til T-Mobile does their refarming in the US so I can use it on 3g/4g too. Wifi is fine for now though.
My score for the LG 4X is a 10 out of 10. It isn't hyperbole either. I put the Apex Launcher on it, switched things to my liking and now I am in love with this phone.

I owned an O2x before this. I guess ain't those kind that would notice any small bugs but the O2x was kinda buggy without custom Rom. After buying the 4x, I thought I would regret but I didn't.. it was much better than I have ever expected of an LG phone/hardware/software. Now I really looked forward to an unlocked bootloader and more development. Not forgetting upgrades from LG.
