so i dont know if a lot of people know, but there is a game called "third blade". I really wanted to try this game out but it shows an error everytime i click download.
it says insufficient space for download. which is ridiculous cause i have a lot of space left. rebooting didnt help, and this is the only app that does it... Any ideas on how to fix this? thanks

Try going into settings, applications, manage applications, all, then find the Market and clear data.
I've also had luck rebooting into recovery mode and clearing the cache, but it might be the same thing.
none of those worked...
i guess ill just not play this game

No you're going to play this game. Have you tried a different version of the market?
Sent From My Captivating Shanna, yes I Named My Phone get over it.
This has been cleared a lil while ago under Insufficient Space for Market Apps, also there's another thread about this in the Themes and Apps section as well (by mistake) under [Q] Android Market 3.X. Good thing ppl like to read
i am using version 3.0.27
so can one of you please explain how you get the old market back?
sorry for being so stupid...

Here's the Market apk I pulled from Cognition 5 Beta 2. It is Market 2.3.4
Just copy to ur phone, go into Titanium Backup Pro and go to the Backup/Restore and find Market Updater and tap it and Freeze it. Then back out and go to ur My Files app and find the Old Market.apk, select, ok, and Install. That should do it.

I tried this again after a fresh wipe and new sd card with reformat. I can't downlaod the audio volume hack from the market. I get download unsuccessful each time! Please help. I'm running touch flo 3d latest build.
So I think this issue is because its a paid app ? Is this in all future hero builds or just a temporary issue? And when is YouTube hq be going to be possible
i'm getting the same thing with AndCam3D. it won't let me download, says "download unsuccessful", yes it's a paid app but i've DL'd paid apps on this rom (JACxROM love it!! ^_^ ).
Has anyone found a solution or a cause of this????
aight, so i've rebooted, toggled the wifi a few times, toggled the 3G, cleared the market cache, cleared the Dalvik-cache in the ext2 partition and i still can't get an app to download from the market. the thing is it's a paid app and every time i try to download it it just says download unsuccessful and i don't want to pay for an app that will never download. lol. i've downloaded paid apps on this rom (so i know it ain't the rom) but for some reason this one won't dl. i've been going at this **** all night. nothing. =/
any help in any way would be greatly appreciated.

why don't you try contacting Meltus (it's his app I believe, right?) He may be able to help you out with it.
Good luck
So my dad made the mistake of uninstalling all the Google Talk related applications on his phone rendering the Android Market unusable.
This consisted of 3 things:
1) Talk.apk
2) TalkProvider.apk
3) gtalkservice.apk
So for anyone else who has also made this mistake, or just wants to have these .apk's on their computer or phone as a backup... I give them to you
IF IT DOESNT HAVE "CWM FLASHABLE" IN THE NAME, DO NOT FLASH IT VIA CWM!
A big thank you to BTRL30NTM for making the CWM zip!!
Hi. Thanks for posting these. I installed DeFrost4.0 over 2.2-update1 and did a wipe. There is no gtalk on the phone now. Where should I put these apks?
Just simply install them on the phone. They'll be placed where they need to be.
Are these working for anyone? All 3 apks give me "Application not installed" when I try to install them.
Worked for me when I did it on my dads phone back on Sept 3rd

didn't work for me. Talk process kept crashing right after start (I must have deleted something else) but it helped to fix the market issue.

Thanks for this! I made the same mistake - I got all "uninstall happy" with root explorer and started to get that "gapps" force close message.
Installing these got rid of that - Thanks again!

I uninstalled from titanium after making a backup. Why does titanium has a "backup" options i don't know? The market didn't worked and had a crash on start-up. Installed and got force closes from market and gtalk. After a restart of the phone and some freezing, everything back to normal.
Thanks for this!

As far as I know, titanium doesn't back up anything from the system\apps directory. It only backs up the data portion.

Good sirs,
Recently, like since last week, I cannot see any of my installed apps in the Android Market, under "My apps". Consequently i also cannot see any updates to those apps.
The ONLY thing, I see there are the apps I have purchased, and any apps I newly install...
I have a captivate running cognition 2.1.6.
anyone else having this issue?
HELP!!!
Have you tried clearing the data?
Menu button->Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->Third Party Tab then scroll down and choose Market then click Clear Data.
Try the above first, if that doesnt work, go to the market and download Eris Market Fix. This app worked for me on my captivate before.
im running 2.1. dont see a third party tab.
but i did clear the cache. did not help.
then tried uninstalling the updates to market. it said uninstall failed.
Now my market is completley gone!!
I'd suggest three other things then...
First would be to restore from a backup... you did backup your apps when you flashed right?
Second would be to use or get SGS Tools and try the Market Fix option there. Find it here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936727
Third would be to search vending.apk That's the market apk, then download it and sideload it.

I reinstalled a whole new ROM...
BTW, I heard that using the new market web interface will break the market on devices with custom ROMs. is this true??!
I haven't heard of anything lime that. When I was on 2.1, I had a blackmarket app that allowed.me to upgrade my market interface. I have never had a problem with not being able to see free appear tho. I suggest backing up anything you have that's important and after attempting any fixes that others will and have spelled out, try a ODIN3 restore. I don't have any links but it will fully restore your phone to stock. Some of your data should still be there but it will do a full wipe and restore. Other than that, don't listen to me. I only have 3 posts.......

the new rom was clean install and was pre rooted
If you weren't rooted prior to flashing then titanium won't have saved market links

You have my advice in your mailbox here on xda. Let me know if that helped.
So I have a Galaxy Note, I just encountered this little phenomena:
I did a factory reset, deleting all my apps and data (don’t ask why, I was experimenting something) anyways now I can’t install Facebook for it, there are many other apps which I had before but now I can’t download them on the note. It says its incompatible.
HMM anyone else encounter this phenomena???
Is it cuz there is a diff version of note available via retailers (rogers, bell) the lte version that’s why the market is not recognizing the phone??
Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
have you tried downloding directly on your phone with the market app?
Yep I faced it too ... All you need to do is Connect to the Andriod Market from your Phone and it will take an hour or so to get this Synched with Adriod Market...
for time being you can browse the Market from your Phone and you will be able to download Facebook ...
Thanks
Sai
Attached is a screen capture on my phone
@ Sai: so should i open the market app on the phone and just leave it on the screen??
I dont know if it will help but my market app build version is: 3.3.12
You haven't changed dpi?
I know market could act up wierd if you do.

Hi, all thanks for the replies.
I tried to replace my current vending.apk with the one Cr4z33 posted his post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421755&highlight=vending+apk) BUT no improvement.
My dpi is 260 but that was not a problem before i did this resetting of my note.

I suggest that you change back dpi to stock and then clear data & cache from market app, reboot the phone and try market again.
qsec my friend you are a genius, i never thought that dpi (of all things) will be the culprit but i downloaded lcd density modder, reverted back to 320 dpi, clear market cache and viola!!!
Thanks to everyone who suggested possible solutions, Really appreciate it!!!
