Alrite we have seen a few threads talking about the miui port to the arc. So let us have it.
So why is it easy to port the miui rom to the arc???
1) We have an unlocked bootloader
2) We have already started getting stable custom roms
3)we already have a device, the dhd having the same processor as the arc supported by the miui rom
4)We are desperately in need of a faster, less laggy, less battery consuming, stable rom....
why is it hard?????
cause it is not open sourced........
Dont you need a working cm7 to have miui?

There are no stable custom ROM's for the ARC/NEO yet. CM7 is more important than MIUI IMO...

Your english is okay, that text is a bad colour though haha. I suggest either slim ics or cyanogenmod 9 RC2. It is a release candidate so it is VERY stable and fast.
I tried lots of them, SlimICS, SGSICS, MIUI, CM9,and by far DarkyROM was the most stable with the best battery life.

Too many...........
@saw man
It is strange. There are a lot of very stable custom Roms out there.
I have flashed more than 10 roms in the last 20 months..
In these days I use it with Cm9 RemICS v1.2. w/ the last devil3 kernel.
It is very stable and very less battery consuming on condition that by selecting suitable governor....
ps: Do not shout so much, it is not kindly ..
I have also tested a lot of ics roms, but i find this one very stable, so I recommend you this one by fayraad: Galaxy nexus pure experience, you can find it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1628028
This room is stable, recommended.XD
Can see is it stable from the numbers of comments and thx

that's an SGSII ROM , guess there was a missunderstanding :cyclops:
For all the roms i've tested (not only ICS), this seems to be the most stable rom i've ever seen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1618757
I'm using it now, i'm trying to find bugs on it but i can't. It's just flawless.
I have just flashed my wife's SGS with the CM9 RC2. I did this because I declared it stable enough.
Have tried many ICS ROMs and all of them were very stable. Can you describe the issues you have experienced?

Greetings!
My friend asked me if I could speed up his incredible S, and I told him that I could try and install a new rom on it.
However, I don´t know a thing about Incredible S roms. I am looking for a stable and fast rom, he is an android noob
so it has to have little to no bugs. Also ICS or JB would be good.
I don´t know if MIUI is available for this phone, but if so, is it fast and bug free? How about AOKP or CM9/10?
Which roms would you guys recommend, I´d like to try some non-sense
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
MIUI works great on this For AOKP I would try IceCold. CM9/CM10 are still full of bugs here but if you want you can have a look at them also. I would recommend CodeNameAndroid, as it has got the coolest tweaks
I'd recommend you to give Paranoid Android a try.
Except for some kernel related stuff, there are no major issues, and yes - it is responsive. And with some undervolting I get really good battery life out of it as well, even though I overclock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863862
*edit*
"little to no bugs"
Well, CyanogenMod 7, MIUI or Sense-ROM's seems to be your options in that case.
Pretty much every AOSP/AOKP ROM with ICS/JB will have the same bugs since the current kernels that are used for them are hacked to work... so if he doesn't want any bugs he should stay away from ICS/JB ROM's that are AOSP/AOKP - for now at least, but if it doesn't matter that much if some stuff isn't working properly and so on: go for Paranoid Android or Codename android.

How about the Venom ViperVIVO?
As I remember, you and markj talked about it once or twice.
The least buggy rom I use has to be IceColdSandwich

ViperVIVO is not out for public yet, still beta's.
But from what I've heard, it seems to be worth a try when it is released

Well, it's a Sense ROM And it's not out for public yet but I tried it and if everything works, it's gonna be awesome as candy!
Is the MIUI rom functional and without bugs? MMS and all that shizzle working? Which version is the best, and is it 2.3 or 4.0?
Is MIUI completely bug free? Is it 2.3 or ICS that it is built on?

Miui gingerbread was based off CM7 so it didn't have many problems
Miui ICS is based off HTC's ICS ruu so there are not many problems either. Some problems from the chinese miui release were fixed by spongychicken. His rom is in the dev section, have a look
Codename android has my vote. It is a great JB ROM. however, it does have a few bugs.

I always loved MIUI ROM since I had my HTC Desire 2 years ago... Now that I'm using a OB currently runing Zeus v7.06, I would like to install MIUI on my phone. But there are a lot of versions coming from different devs...
I would like to know which version is the nearest stable for everyday use GB/ICS/JB... plus video rec and games. Please post which MIUI version you are using and your experiences to the ROM... This will definitely help me decide which MIUI ROM I will install, because I don't have the time to test all the MIUI ROMS since there are a lot of them... This might be helpful too for some others who wants to install MIUI on their OB...
Thanks guys...
but none of them is "stable"
but the most stable is this (for me) :

i also went through all 2.3.4 / 2.3.7 on miui , i know what MIUI original looks like and works like, so i always had petty , to put up with what other developers based on the original.. came and brought up. with ....
I mean dont g et me wrong , i respect all your work big time, as cant build complete OS's yet myself
but never the less ,
i found this one searching the NET
p970_v2.4.3.nana.zip
this one here based on 2.3.7 petty its just in Chinese and English , but i'm good for now with english.
but it is one of the fastet , bugless snappiest in the way of 2.3.7 combined with MIUI.
i cant remember where i found it, i just could get hold now of the download link on Baidu , Chinese developent on this
http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=113361&uk=119720112

front cam is working,....
video issue are there, not sure maybe its solvable
otherwise its for me the stables miui

hi guys just dropping by here, i am from samsung forum and i want to ask here what is the latest and most stable stock ROM for X8? plz be patient just new here at x8
By the way there's no stable and fast ROM because every rom has it's own pros and cons. And it's own character so try yourself rom like ginger dx,zencefil, and rom in my signature
andthere's Many rom also out there so do some searching and testing to get a nice rom
Sent from my XPERIA X8 using xda app-developers app
Plus, you can try.. Like me.. I have try many roms for stock kernel in my x8.. Choose rom what fits with you.. You can't determine the rom's performance just by one look.. As the above bro said.. You must try at first and consider what rom is fits with your needs.. What features do you need for your phone? That's it.. X8 is a low performance phone and we all know it so we can't suggest that.. Choose yourself
There are two stock roms, donut(1.6) and eclair(2.1), you can imagine how good they are...

Hello.. I recently tried popular roms and kernels for Xperia X8.. However some have a huge lag spike, some have too many errors and reboot every time I use one of the features.. I honestly don't know which rom and kernel is good for me without having to reflash it every day trying to get stable rom.. I would appreciate it if you could help me with that. Thanks.
Sincerely,

The stability, speed and all things depends on the person..
how do u define stable or fast? which can be only concluded by trying out too many roms suitable for u..
So, answering to your question according to me fast n stable roms which i have used are
1) Xperia Soul engine Cossmoss and Forrox,
2)GingerDXv31b.
3)PrimeHD.
4)Jellybread. ( quite ok)
Try out these roms ..m sure one of these roms will definitly fit into your stability and speed
agree

verry well said sir . . that's right
Stock android 2.1 is the best android for Xperia X8 for daily use ;D
As for me, JBMP is very fast and stable
I suggest to use Optimus Nexus Me v6 with nAa 14 kernel + Pure Performance addon. It's very fast
Practically speaking
There is no stable or best ROM or Kernel
It depends on your usage.
Ne ways
For daily use
Try GB - MiniCM 7, GDX
Jellybean is also nice and stable- JB MINI, MINI CM10
Kernel depends on ROM
