can someone tell me how i get the white notificationbar like in the older versions (froyo, eclair...)
i can´t find any post on the internet about that and an old theme does´nt work work for me...

IF you are using CM based roms, the option is inbuilt to change your status bar colours.
IF you want to do it in a stock rom, you need to replace the png file "statusbar_background.9.png" in the /res/drawable-hdpi folder in the Systemui.apk app. You will also need to make xml and smali edits to make your text black so that it shows up on the white statusbar.
Hey all.... Question here I am trying to change the framework-res to get a custom background on the lockscreen (Droid X running the ROM apex 1.4.1)... I can download and decompile the xml through apk manager but has anyone ever successfully modded / hacked their lockscreen? I know some roms have custom lockscreens and sliders but its usually the ERI banner and updated sliders's .png files respectively rather than the lockscreen's xml itself I think. Any Input on this? PS.( I KNOW widgetlocker does this... I do not like widgetlocker and don't want to use an external program as its for a theme so please don't post this as the answer .

I'm using a Modaco gr5 ROM now. I went to the UOT kitchen to create my own theme and even edited the files directly in the zip file afterwards to make it the way I want.
I have the deafault gingerbread theme. However, there is one thing I dont know how to do: How can I change the black theme to the light theme (like for example Topogigi's rom has), where the background in popupp windows, settings popup etc are white instead of black?
anyone know how to change the background wallpaper of setting..??

I think you might need a custom launcher for that. Idk if it's possible to change background with stock rom/launcher.
I know it is possible with Go Launcher and ADW Launcher. Search them from play and look around at the settings.

if You Can Edit Framework , Or Go To ChocobreadV2.2 rom , and Download Choco-BeeBlueStyle, and edit Choco-BeeBlueStyle Framework .

You will need to decompile framework-res.apk and change the wallpaper to whatever you like. Recompile it and flash it via cwm..

If you like an image must be decompiler framework-res.apk and put you image here. Dont forgot to add an id for this file on public.xml in values folder.
For change black color you must edit style.xml replace any color yo want change towallpaper
replace "@color/black" with like this "@drawer/bg_wallpaper" for exampl.
