I ran fix permissions in Rom Manager and it managed to nuke all text/font in the phone. Most menus are blank but text under icons appear somehow but unreadable.
Upgraded through LG's upgrade tool but nothing changed, prob persists after upgrade?!
Anyone saw this and is there a fix??
cheers
try to use the 1st font in the list. it is not really a fix but so u can use ur phone again with readable text
this happened to me, too. i only got my o2x back to normal via a NVFlash procedure. you could also try restoring a nandroid backup if you have a backup copy..

I want to uninstall CWM. That means reflashing it with stock, right? I found the thread at modaco forum but problem is the link is dead. I want to uninstall CWM because it seems that it interferes with updating from LG mobile suite.
Please help.. thanks.

afterward, if i want to restore all the apps and settings, after i nvflash my phone, i use titanium to restore?
Also, i read somewhere about system apps and user apps. If i restore system apps, my phone will have erratic behaviour? That means, i can only backup user apps?
Sorry for many questions. Still getting the hang of it.

Really? Did you use LG mobile update? I tried to update using LG mobile update and it said there was an update available but when i tried to update my phone it said mine was different version. I assume it was because i installed CWM. That means, we can still update the firmware without removing CWM?
thanks
I got a new update install according to the phone bit once i download it it gives me invalid software package. The pack is 4.5mb and my baseband is from 04/06/2011 so i guess its a new baseband vs my fw is 10c i tried with LG mobile update but he says that i am running the latest (not the greatest)
I am really thinking about costum Rom LG are really disappointing me
P.s i tried playing back and forword with the clock to get the update again still bust

i read somewhere did because i have removed system apps i will not get ota anymore is that so?
could that be the reason? i didn't freeze anything just removed them permanently.
if so how can i get back to the original STOCK LG (the easiest way)
because then i can just restore my backup and i am done.
Perform a SmartFlash.

The problem is because you have CWM on the phone,
I had the same issue.
you have to remove CWM (don't know how to do that).
Or do a flash with smartflash back to V10A and then you can update to V10B and then again to V10C.
You are from the netherlands you can also look here: http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/1453370 (is in dutch)
thanks,
i just flashed with 0614 bb and new kernel (BIN_LGP990AT-00-V10c-EUR-XX-APR-16-2011+0)
restoring now the backup

Yes, you can start with this... If that doesn`t work for you, then you should try to provide some more info about what you have done on the phone...
Hope it helps .
Wipe cache and fix permissions in recovery.

I had a similar situation, see if this is your case and how I solved it,

Notice I couldn't access CWM nor use smartflash, you have to try those options first.
Hello everyone,
I've searched all over but wasn't able to find any solutions to this problem or a reason why it happens.
Often when I just lock my screen it stays off for a bit, then after a few seconds it opens up the lockscreen again. It keeps doing this in a loop.
For what it's worth: I'm running DJANGOMANOUCHE X 1.3 30A on the kowalski kernel, but it did this on other roms aswell..
Hope someone could clear this up for me!

Did you full wipe everytime before install? Don't get this wrong but it's a common fault.
Next question is do you use titanium backup? Maybe there's a faulty backup

I always fully wipe everything and format /system before installing a new rom.
I do not use titanium backup or any other backup method.

Well, I did replace my digitizer twice because I dropped it, but then again, how would that affect the lockscreen? since it's a hardware button and not related to the digitizer.
It could just still be hardware damage of dropping it too often though.
Was this resolved.

Hey guys,
Im extremely knew to the android world as I have always used an iphone.
I have a LG Optimus 2x that was stuck on Android version 2.2.2 as the LG Drivers didnt work so on android 2.2.2:
i rooted my phone, then flashed it with cmod 10 and google apps.
when i clicked "reboot device now" in recovery mode, the phone showed the lg logo then instantly it turned into two LG logos.
so now my phone doesnt turn on it instead just shows two lg logos side by side.
What have i done wrong? I hated android 2.2.2 as it was just too slow.
Help would be appreciated! Thanks!
