Why not? Have you tried choose "Repair phone" in Pc Companion?
I've bricked my phone with gdx (stuck at SE logo), then charged to 100%, run PC Companion, choose "Repair phone", then step by step, connect to PC with pushed back button (flash mode enables) and voila, phone's works.
It must work for you too.

nex time pls read the rules after post the thread...

Search for "original SE" in the X8´s Android Development Forum, and you´ll find a thread with the newest SE 2.1 (The one with the "C" in it).
You can install it with xrecovery.

SEUS needs stock build.prop
First flash a backup of the stock ROM and then reinstall it with SEUS.
(isn't that the same thing....?)

[Q] Install gingerxperia on stock X8

Hi, i want to install gingerxperia (v25) on my absolutely stock x8 (android 2.1)
What do i have to do, step by step please.
As far as i know, i have to root it, then install cwm recovery (but i dont know how!), then flash nAa kernel v10 (i dont know where to download that) via flashtool (not sure how to flash the kernel) and then after all install gingerxperia via cwm recovery.......is that right (if yes, please tell me the exact way how i have to do these things.....also step by step please )
Thanks in advance
therefore there is a big button which says SEARCH and also a site which is called GOOGLE(search machines in general)
i know, i'm not stupid but i've allready looked for a tutorial or something, but i couldnt find one, and i dont want to brick/ruin my phone, so if you dont want to help me other than telling me to search for my self (which i already did), why do you even comment? I dont want to be rude but your comment seams a bit senseless to me and doesnt help me....
the reason why i ask this is that i really dont know and dont want to make a mistake and have a broken phone, for someone who knows how to do it, it wont be a problem to tell me step by step in a short way how to do it i think, and thats what i am asking for
Check the Rooting tutorial in XPERIA X8 Android Development then when you root ur x8 check the thread for xrecovery when u got rooted xperia whit recover pm me
Hit thanks if I helped!

[Q] Kies claims my phone unable to update firmware.

Hello everyone.
Allow me to start by saying that i did tried to find the answer by searching the forums/ google but couldnt figure out most of what i stumbled upon,
So if this issue has been resolved in the past please recive my apolgies, i do not wish to bother anyone but i feel total lost, i saved each penny i could for this phone for a long time and im really scared to screw it up.
Now to my problem:
I own a galaxy note n7000. Never been rooted or something like that.. He stays exacly as i got him from the store.
The thing is im pretty sure (from what ive read) that i should get the ics 4.0.4 update, but when i was searching for updates in my phone
I found none. I tried updating from Kies but found out that my phone "does not support software update via Kies".
What i do know (or so i think...):
There could be some problem with my CSC? It dose not much my phone version or something like that?
What i think you need in order to help me:
Model number: gt-n7000
Android version: 4.0.3
Baseband version: n7000XXLPT
Kernel version: 3.0.15-N7000XXLPY-CL474507
Build number: IML74K.XXLPY
(I have no idea what my CSC or where to find it)
Any help would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Hi lee yun khong, thanks for your reply!
I saw dr.ketan guide but didnt fully understoond what i should do pre-installing the rom.
can i just install the new rom "over" the current rom and it will work? I dont have to do anything else?
Thanks.
no just download the rom u want ... put the phone in download mode and connect it to pc.. open PC odin and select the .tar.md5 file in the pda tab and flash it.
dont change any other settings in odin./
Yes. No prob at all. But some of the rom is non wipe. That means your all app, contact and message will remain after flash the new rom.

Thank you guys!
I got odin from dr.ketan guide and im right now downloading the 4.0.4 open germany rom from the list he supplied.
I want to refer to what dr.ketan wrote in his guide:
"Don't wipe anything from stock ICS recovery
Don't factory reset/Hard reset on stock ICS
Don't flash any Wipe version of ICS ROM"
I understand that the roms in his list are non-wipe so im good there.
But Since my current rom is stock ics 4.0.3, should i be worried?
Thanks.
No problem mate.

Well, that was easy.
Update went smooth and the phone shows im on ics 4.0.4, all system functions work as they should.
So as i understand it as long im just upgrading from stock to stock roms without wipe its a walk in the park.
What can i say?

[Q] Xperia T help

Hi,
I have a Xperia T with bootloader unlocked (which removes warranty) and a custom rom, but I want to lock the bootloader again and go back to the stock ROM. I don't know which ROM it is because my friend did it all for me, but he is not my friend anymore and doesn't want to help me with my phone. I dont want the custom rom because i dont see any use to it and some things dont work like WhatsApp and the camera.
So my questions are: Can i go back to stock ROM, if so how?
Can i Re-lock the bootloader so my warranty will be back. Or at least a way to hide that i have had a custom rom?
Thanks in advance !!!

Then you got to be a bit more careful... :/ Did your freind not tell you that you would loose warranty?\
Just flash greg bradleys rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2007736
Read the instructions for unlocked bootloader.. flash probs the advanced stock kernel... then his rom! it seems to be based off stock but a bit better! as i dont know if yo ucan go back to official stock sony or not sorry i dont even have the T yet im jsut basing off my experince from the x10
Flash kernel boot into cwm (pressing volume down repeatedly i think)
Flash the rom and reboot!
I take no resposibilty..

No he told me i could remove it. Also, do you lose warranty for physical damage? Like i have a case on my T but on the corners the matte is coming off a little? I dont know why i care for it very well!
I can't unlock my bootloader, sadly
Unfortunately, a lot of people are complaining about the matte finish peeling off. I for one have it on the lower left corner, and I really baby the phone. I don't even put it on hard surfaces but usually on a school workbook.
Anyway, you can find a lot of information in the following threads:

I dont know how you can remove it... i dont think theres a way to relock bootloader as of now.. i could be worng though! Maybe check out s1tool or osmething google it! And no that issue has been reported its not your fault... if you cna get your bl relocked you can send it back to them for that damage \
Try this to relock bootloader.. but read the whole thread as idk what it could do to your device...
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_d8uWGbkaetaEhhd25JcjJMY2M/edit?pli=1
Again i take absolutley no repsobility here!
Thanks. Hopefully Sony will replace those devices.

Search for flashtool version 0.9.9.0 and download.
Download .ftf file of the firmware you want to flash and place it in flashtool firmware folder.
Start flashtool.exe and follow instructions. Leave all boxes ticked (wipe dalvik, user data, baseband etc)

You can open multiple question threads in Q&A section but if all your questions pertain to, in this case, flashing a ROM, a single thread should do.
Also, keep in mind that many of the members of this forum will not answer simple generic inquiries. It is up to you to search the forum to find the answers, if possible.

Hi there..
Your phone needs to be rooted and recovery installed on it so as to install gingerbread or froyo on it..
It would be better if you search YouTube for detailed video instructions..

Recovery.

2.1 is the latest firmware for Xperia X8. No more official updates for our little phone. If you want to upgrade, you have to use the unofficial ROMs (custom ROMs) developed by the good guys here at XDA. Note that this voids warranty if you by any chance still have it.
In short, Mistev provided you with all of the steps. Everything you do with the phone is relatively safe (and by this I mean you can always return it to the original state if something bad happens), except playing around with the kernel and bootloader. Do not attempt to unlock bootloader yet if you're new to this.
At the moment, you can upgrade all the way up to 4.1. However, I recommend either 2.2 or 2.3. In my opinion, 4.1 is for show-offs The lack of resources make it sort of impractical, but it's nice to see it can be done.
Now, off to the search engine to find tutorials on how to do each of the steps. It should take you only a few hours to set up a new system. An experienced user could do it in, like, 10-15 minutes.
Have fun
