Chek out this bit of interestingness... It mentions a completely different lg thrill called the p929... The site also mentions our thill called the p925... The interesting part... Ours and the O3D are mentioned as running android 2.2.2, but the lg thrill p929 has 2.3..... The cellular bandz seem to point to tmobiles frequencies... Only 3g speeds..... Hmmmm? Where is this device?

The LG site has a p925g listed as the Optimus 3D T-Mobile. Might have been a model name change somewhere. Looks to be the same.

Well if it is a T-Mobile version of the Thrill then it makes sense that it would have GB when it cones out since the Optimus 3D is due for GB any day now.

Its probably just a typo. On a keyboard, 9 is close to 0 which leads me to believe this was supposed to be the LG P920 (Optimus 3D). The lack of at&t logo on the back cover also disproves the Thrill name/branding.
I thought you guys might want this gordec posted this yesterday all credit to him. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389041

nice now we have figure out how pull out baseband. is this a nandroid dump if it is I don't think its possible.
I need a help here
The nitro uses a qcom chipset, the thrill uses a omap chipset. What do you plan on accomplishing with the nitro dump?
The baseband for the modem
Sent from my LG-P925 using xda premium
The nitro has a LTE modem, whereas the Thrill has HSPDA, not all 4g being equal... unfortunately I think we're still stuck...

however it can be useful we can borrow some apks themes and it should has hspda
modem too coz it gets H+ speed where ever LTE is not available here is thing optimus 3d has 3g modem not H+ we still able get it why not nitro should have H+ and LTE both
The question is whos gonna do it who is gonna risk their phone?

it makes sense in theory... But first I think we need an easier way of flashing base band...

Lte uses another hardware radio, so the nitro would use 2 seperate chips for signal

I agree with Trekfan..., the way we have to flash BaseBands right now, is very difficult, if you don't have the guide down don't do it, you'll definatelly brick your thrill

I will be getting a new phone in january, this means I will be able to start risking the thrill and see where we can go...we will have nice roms coming.
I know a guy that make a 1click flash baseband. Lemme shoot him an email. I was gonna learn from him how to make one but we've both been too busy to meet up. I'll shoot him an email and see if he has time to develop one.
i'm all for one click change, make it happen please
I am deodexing .apks and framework right now, so I can compare O3D and Nitro's system, after that gonna try to build a bootable ROM using Nitros system files. But after watching some youtube reviews, it seems like the entire interface is the same laggy **** LG interface we have on our devices, so I am not very excited about getting something better than what we already have.
I was checking with LG on the facebook. They confirmed it is coming for LG THrill 4G. NOt sure if this is real or they are trying to pacify us.

Sounds like the same story, just different wording.
Sounds like the typical uninformed LG rep.
I hate LG so much and AT&T
If you don't want to wait for an update, the Optimus 3D already has official GB update.
I installed it. Lost my 4G,but works fine.
Sounds like BS...

I got a Thrill 4G as a spare phone with no sim card.
Are you saying I can just go in and install the gingerbread update onto this with no problem?
I don't care about 3G/4G as it's not a phone to me. (Aside from GrooVeIP)
You get 3G. Just not Foux G which isn't really 4G anyway. I rarely pull more than 1.5 down so I'm pretty much getting 3G speeds anyway
So I have a lg optimus 2x and it doesn't have the T mobile brand on it however, the person who gave me the phone was using it and is with T mobile and he was getting a 3g or 4g connection. If true, i tried my sim card i am not even getting a 3g signal, only Edge.
So, would installing a G2x rom fix anything or is that a brick i'll be holding?
I already installed the optmius 2x cyangon rom, rooted with super click but got no 3g so...
Any insight?
Open up the battery and see if you are P-990 or P-999, T-Mobile is p999.
The roms for these two models are incompatible with each other because of its partition layouts hence why there are two sections for this device. So installing a p999 rom on p990 vice versa will basically break you phone.
Maybe the option "just 2g networks"is enabled?

At this point in time 4g phones cannot be used anywhere other than the united states. In June, Verizon will be sending software updates to all 4g phones that will enable them to work globally though
