[Q] NEED HELP!! I "brick" my X8 and can't flash it - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My x8 can't start and stuck in white "sony ericsson" logo after I tried to install double recovery.
I can't access both xrecovery and cwm recovery, and when I tried to flash it with Flash Tool the Flash Tool told me to activate my "debugging mode" first.
How could I activate the debugging mode while my X8 can't start?
or else is there any other way to "revive" my X8?
The SEUS method is also not working.
Please help me...

As far as I know flashing with flash tool didnt required phone to be turned on. Turn off the phone click FLASH the hold back button and plug the phone and wait until the flashing starts
Follow this link. This will surely help you.

I offer you to get other version of FLASHTOOL, maybe it will work.
Perhaps our FlashTool version is different from yours, because our FT can flash roms without asking debugging.
Sorry for my bad English. I hope I can help u.

What version of flash tools? as i can see computer detects your phone but suddenly aborted.

you need the drivers i think so just download flashtool from xda forums and extract it and you will find an app called gordon's gateway something and if you run that it should install
all the drivers
and this gordons gateway should be in the drivers folder its an executbale file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
but dont download the latest version because it doesnt support the x8

@Questioner it does I used it yesterday to flash back to stock rom version 3

Case solved
OK, case solved!!
I flash it with another computer that doesn't have neither SE-PCC or SEUS installed.
It seems that the Flash Tools GGdriver is incompatible with original PCC or SEUS driver.
Thx everyone

In my opinion source of your problem was uncomplet drivers xD

I had similar situation
Hi all yours;
I also bricked my phone Xperia X8 E15a triying to flash kernel, after unlock the boot loader. It was totally dead, no ligths, no response. I dont understand how it happened, because I follow each step described in [Guide] Bootloader and kernel guide | X8 | W8 | X10 mini | X10 mini pro | > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
-I unlocked my phone succesfully, steps 1 up to 7.
-I skipped section "HOW TO RELOCK BOOTLOADER", because I thougth it wasnt
necesary.
-I follow section 9: "9. How to flash custom kernels", I used the provided
file> E15_Stock Kernel.ftf with includes (kernel.sin and the
loader.sin).I don't used E15_nAa-09_2.6.29.6-nAa-09.ftf because it isn't
the provided file here.
-Finally I connected my phone in flash mode. About 80% it appears an error

Today, I read in flashtool that E15_Stock Kernel.ftf is for phone model
X8 E15i, probably that was the problem.
I solve it using advices indicated in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263167
Especifically, I used PC companion click repair, and extract battery and put it again to enter in flash mode whith PC companion.

Yes, but you won't be able to root the .254 FW then, because when you go back to .254 you'll have to flash system too, which then eliminates your root acces

If you have the latest version of flashtool, nothing should be going wrong. As your error lies in loader.sin I've no idea what it means but I don't think it's a driver problem, but try anyway to be sure

Ok help, FlashTool is stuck saying Phone ready for flashmode operations, 5 minutes and still there, im doing something wrong?
EDIT: Before it gave me an error "18/017/2014 10:17:07 - ERROR - Cannot sync devices : https://github.com/Androxyde/devices.git: 407 Proxy Authentication Required" i know what is the authentication but how can i put the password?
Have you run drivers.exe from C:\flashtool\drivers
Choose z1, flashmode and fastboot drivers
Do not worry about the syncing,
Enter flashmode by keeping the phone off and pressing volume down whilst you attach the usb cable to the phone

@androidphone1 Shouldn't you choose flashmode instead of fastboot? You said flashboot or its just a typo.

[Fixed, but not solved] Z3C Boot Loop at - ERROR Update Failed

So, I just bought a Z3C, I had a Z1 before, it was rooted with locked bootloader, so I understand some of the stuff.
Anyway, I applied root, installed the Dual Recovery, did a backup of my DRM keys, and everything went alright, then there was this update, which I remembered that, on the Z1, I would lose root and Dual Recovery after it was done, but since I already knew they worked, I thought about installing it (Can't remember which version it was, but I think it was a KitKat version).
Anyway, the phone rebooted, it goes "Sony", then the official recovery android logo with the error message in RED. I did notice though that there seemed to be another screen an instant before the error showed up.
I can run fastboot, tried "reboot-bootloader, it gave me a finished, but seems like it did nothing, as it's still recognized by fastboot. If I try to run normally, it gives me the update error. Is there a way to fix this? There is nothing on the phone, so wipe is not a problem (Unless it may affect the SD, which would be bad).
Download an ftf for your phone. Flash it via flashtool using flash mode (flashception)
Try 23.2.A.1.62 HK ftf from the list of ftfs in xda.
Sent from my D5833 using XDA Free mobile app
Tried, but no success. Tried 2 times, below is the log. One thing I found out is that, this bootloop is based on a 1 minute Flash Mode (message: Device connected in flash mode) and 30 seconds of Sony logo - Update Failed (message: Device Disconnected), and seems like I can't stop it, like fully turning it off by holding the button next to the SIM card slot until the 3 vibes, it always disconnects and tries to boot, looping every time it's connected.
It basically disconnects while the files are prepared, but when it finishes, if the phone is disconnected, it will give a "waiting for phone popup", then the phone returns to flashmode, and then there are the errors below.
As an extra piece of the behaviour, not sure if it helps, but while flashmode seems to be tied to normal boot, fastboot works alright, no reboot, constantly connected.

So, I sent it back to the store to see if they could fix it, and well, they did, not sure what authorized stores have, but anyway, they fixed the bootloop, all data was wiped (It's like new), and they updated it to 5.0.2, so now I need to downgrade and do the whole job again.

Maybe someone can help?
+ i always get different erros or just stuck...
Lets go together through this, lets take some steps to determine the problem.
1. Check the firmware! Make sure you are installing the right firmware and the download is not corrupted.
2. Check the DRIVER!!! Always important to uninstall the driver restart your pc, and then install the official fastboot driver from Sony Developers site.
3. Check your cable! Try with another cable, yours might be faulty
4.Check your timing, make sure you plug the phone into flashmode just the right second, you dont have much time, try several times until you get it right.
Quote me on this thread or PM me because I might not read it. Good luck!

Flash Mode Problems

Hello it seems that I can't boot my phone in to Flash Mode. I looked up into forums on how to boot X8 to Flash Mode and so I followed it, Hold the back button-connect the usb cable-wait for the green led. It did work, but after some time, the green led will disappear and it will try to boot on the OS.
I need to flash stock rom on it because I soft-bricked my device. The Flashtool recognizes the phone in Flash Mode but when I start flashing the rom, it gives me the instuctions to place the device on Flash Mode, but then when the green LED dissapears, the instruction windows too, and flashtool starts to flash but then failed with an error, here is the output log from Flashtool..
