I just started using HoneyBar. I love the idea of the app since i put on yo gabba gabba on netflix for my 10mo old daughter while we are out and it really helps alot. But I was wondering, Is it possible to make an app to disable the touchscreen while for example netflix is playing a movie? We can probably use like a combination of buttons to toggle the app. Like both volume buttons and power button. Just an idea

is it possible to get the same softkeys from the archos 70 series onto the nook. im not really a fan of the current soft key solutions and archos seems to have found a legitimate solution that works really well. it would also be a big plus to get rid of the regular nook bar at the botto or would this only be possible on a custom rom?
Try button Savior for soft keys..its great.
//from the nook COLOR
I'm using button savior and like the way it works except it doesn't work for me all the time. For example last nigth I was playing with the SNES Emulator and loaded a game, I brought up button savior to go back and it wouldn't work. The only button that would work was the home button.
you can use home switcher to set it to the n button so that way one click brings up the menu
I don't have a issue with the way the buttons are brought up just the fact that they don't work all the time when they do come up.
i understand about button savior and all that but i find the built in softkeys on archos tablets to be a much more enjoyable experience. ive used my friends achos 70 and they are very convenient and add up to being alot better then button savior. just wondering if this could be ported to the nc
wouldn't it be easier to make the current nook taskbar system persistent/have the back and menu buttons all the time?
I found a thread that did just this, look for nook color soft keys. The only problem is the never worked for me, if you can find a way to make these apps to work please post here, because I as would like the aoftkeys from the archos devices and even a notification bar on top? Just s you know
Hey everyone,
just woundering if there is a way that something like this could be made for our DHD
This was made for the HD2:
http://www.xda-developers.com/windo...0-1-use-your-volume-keys-as-a-camera-trigger/
I believe the app "vignette" has the ability to enable this feature, if you don't mind switching programs.
There is an app called volume key camera
Code:
xxx .androidzoom.com/android_applications/media_and_video/volume-key-camera_pffj.html
but kept getting FC , and have moved to camera 360, in which I can take pict by touching the screen itself
I found the best app for it and have been using it for a while now and very happy with it. It's called "pro capture". Hope this helps if anyone else is looking for one
Sent from my HTC Desire HD
in Cyanogenmod In the camera app you can use the volume buttons to zoom in and out also to make the search button capture pictures
It's too bad that the DHD doesn't have a camera button.
In fact I would wish to have something that turns the camera app on when pressed and takes a picture on long press for example.
The volume keys are good to some extent but not enough and will never replace the real camera button functionality.
power button idea
wonder if anyone could make power button as camera
I like the idea of using the volumes keys for zoom, that sound cool
I just finished replacing my volume rocker after it simply fell off following normal usage. I personally would not want to suggest doing anything which would make you use the key more. It's quite flimsy. Definitely the weak point in the design.
Hi,
As of late, the Up and Down volume buttons on the side of my LG Optimus 2X have stopped working properly. Sometimes they work normally but you still have to press a lot until they respond, and sometimes they just don't respond at all. Like when I am in the middle of a phone call, I can't turn volume up or down which is really annoying.
So I am looking for an application or widget that can adjust Phone Call, Music, Alarm volume and such easily, without going into Settings every time. By using the touch screen of course.
Really hoping some one can help because this is really annoying.
Thanks a lot,
Best Regards,

Thanks a lot, looking nice. Got a PM that suggested the app called Quick Settings which is great too.
If ya know anything more relevant to this, please let me know. Before I asked this question, I was thinking of throwing my phone in the trashcan, but I think I can live with it, I just need the right apps
happy to help!!
Hello everyone, is there a way to make sure that the buttons to change the volume on the headphones can change the song?
thank you very much

Yes just doubletap the answer button , triple to go back or something like that test it out for yourself
I use the philips headset app (free in the play store). Allows you to control your music player with the single button on the headset, adjust the button press settings, and tune the sound a bit. I've tried a few of the other free control apps and found this one to be the best free app to do the job.
The best feature of this app is the fact that you can adjust what the button presses do...with other apps you have to pay in order to get that function.
Everything works perfect and thank you all for your help
I've been searching the internet for days, and all I've learned is that I DONT need an app to "change my volume to a preset level when the buttons are pressed." I need one of two things, and I need XDA's help to find them.
OK, I definitely know where to manually edit the script to disable volume keys (key 114 and 115) but I'd like to either be able to toggle them easily, such as with a quicksettings tile or widget, or I'd like to be able to say....press both volume buttons together, twice, to toggle them.
Why would I want this? The volume rocker is smack-dab in the middle of the phone, right about where my game controller clips on. I play a lot of games, and this is killing me. Thank you for your time.
The best temporary fix I have is to disable them myself by deleting their entry in keylayout. Looking forward to your guys' wisdom.
I don't want to sound like one of "those guys", but, Plz halp?

Found something a little better. Using gravity box xposed module, I've got "show volume panel" mapped to a custom nav bar key and disabled the physical volume buttons themselves for now
