[Q] Need bone stock everything for VZW Tab - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm not a noob but due to lack of sleep I really screwed up. I need to get my partition back to stock, so I need the pit file, as well as all the other stock files. I've tried using all the return to stock guides to no avail. Lets just say I'm able to get to the download screen and thats it. I am familiar with heimdall and odin both. Thanks in advance.

I will add it will show the galaxy tab screen but then goes blank but screen stays lit and will play boot sound. Please guys I really need my tab back someone is bound to have the pit and tar file I need. Or the pit and heimdall files.

[Q] accidently bricked SGS using Odin

Hey Guys,
I hope this is not a complete repost
I have a samsung Galaxy s i9000 and i installed a custom gingerbread 2.3.4 ROM yesterday, all worked fine, but was unable to receive phone calls so i tried reflashing my phone to see maybe it was installed incorrectly.
Im not able to get into recovery mode but i am able to get into download mode.
So i installed Odin, and a .pit file that someone recommended. earlier i downloaded a .tar file that was compatible with my phone.
Everything went fine and it said it was successful, but im now stuck on a black screen with nothing but download mode.
My question to you is:
What files do i need to download inorder to get it to boot, and then allow me to flash to a gingerbread version on android.
I have a 512.pit file, i just need all the other odds and ends like a PDA, phone, CSC files.
Please please help me.
Thanks you for your time.
The same thing happened to me I just flashed a stock rom using odin and haven't tried flashing anything else yet

Broke my Galaxy, Need Help

Hi, I own a Samsung Galaxy S i9000M from Bell. It is unlocked. Two days ago I was just using it (software: gingerbread) and it crashed. I tried restarting it and it just looped the startup. I removed the battery several times and it just wouldn't staert up.
So today, I tried to restore it with Odin, I think that I might've used the wrong PDA and actually messed it up more. Now it doesnt even loop it just stays black or these green and red dots come. However, I can still enter download mode.
How can I fix this? What are the correct files for my phone?
All replies are greatly appreciated!!
Try reflashing to last working ROM
How do I do that? I don't know to original firmware :S
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881 use the ugkg3 firmware under 2.3.3 north America. Follow instructions and use 512 pit. To repartition

Downloading it right now, thanks for the tip.
Does anyone have any idea why my phone broke in the first place?
Where can I find Pit 512? Thanks for the help so far btw
OK, I found all the files and extracted them but they're all 0 bytes? What do I do now?
Don't know why they are 0 bytes but those are the files you need. Not sure where you live in Canada but I'm in Victoria if that helps you at all I can flash it for you.

Downloaded the newest version of WinRar and they extracted properly . Flashing my phone as I type this message. Fingers crossed :x
Flashed it to the files you said. It is back to original broken state. The startup loops. Atleast I fixed my mistakes from yesterday, going to get it checked out by a phone tech.
Error codes were:
Cache wipe failed
Data exsist but some failed (cant remember this one good)
I recorded what the failure codes were if you need the specific ones. Further help will be greatly appreciated.
It shouldn't be on a bootloop if you flashed it correctly...
Only times I had bootloops I just reflashed 2.3.6 XXJVZ via Odin which always worked even when I thought I screwed it up completely. As long as you can enter the download mode, when you have the right files to flash you should be able to fix it.
The boot loop originally happened randomly when I was on stock firmware. Could this mean that a piece of hardware is broken?

I've never had to use this myself but I've heard of it getting guys phones working. Flash it in odin as directed. Then once working re flash the kg3 firmware. Gl

never broke the phone before, but you could try to reflash back to other official ROMs, my friend tells me that it works

[Q] P1000 Write error in Odin when attepting to install Overcome rom

Hi XDA Members. I am a self proclaimed Samsung noob with a 7 in. Galaxy Tab SGH-T849. After searching the forums,I was instructed to refer to this model as the p1000. The tab was given to me by my sister after my know it all nephew tried to "fix" it,so I thought I would give it a shot. I can't get into it to provide detailed info from the settings menu because it won't boot past the Samsung boot animation. After reading numerous posts,I downloaded the Overcome files and attempted to install it. I am getting a write error in Odin near the end of the flash and I have no idea what I have done wrong.I even downloaded the guide to make sure I flashed it properly. I included a pic of the Odin error and a pic of the system recovery screen on the tablet.I continued to research the Q&A,but I did not want to take the chance of messing the tab up further. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
Accidentally pressed Thanx button.
Anyway it looks like your Internal SD card is damaged.
Search in general section for possible remedies.(Search-Internal SD damaged)

Did Yu use Odin tat is included with GB stock safe?
if not,
Try GB stock safe again,
This time, use the Odin that is within GB stock safe.

[Q] Verizon SCH-i800 Bricked with back light off

Hi Guys!
Two days ago i tryed to replace the kernel of my SCH-i800 using ODIN and now it is apparently briked.
It is able to go to download mode and since then i am trying to flash lots of ROMs, kernels, PIT etc.
Some times, depending of the ROM I use to flash, it can boot, but the screen is black, like if the back light is turned off. I can either interact with the capacitive screen, but I can't see anything. Is is the closest i could get a unbricking.
Probably it can enter in recovery mode, but I can not interact with the menus because is completely black.
Someone could help me? Someone had the same issue and know what is happening with the back light?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Priyana, but I already tried this method before and it did not work.
I think that it is a problem with the bootloader files, but i cant find a link with the complete rom with the bootloader files.
Could you help me?
Unfortunately I don't have enough resources for CDMA tabs.
Yeah, you maybe need a complete ROM.
But since you can enter download mode, I would hazard a guess that your bootloader is intact.

Point me in the right direction?

Hello everyone,
I have an SM N900A on 4.4.2 and it's running DynamicKat6.1. That being said, I had hoped to come back and see an easy way to get my phone basically back to stock. I had anticipated using the older method using Heimdall but it seems that doesn't work anymore, and so I have kind of come to a loss. I don't know if it's possible for me to get back to my stock MJ5? Or if there is some other way I can achieve a stock setting just so I can ease my way back into exploring my devices capabilities again? If so please let me know what you all think.
Look in the general section. They have Odin flash able tar files there. 4.4.2 4.4.4 and 5.0. But before you so. If you want to root. Do research.

Thank you for that advice. I have downloaded the flashable files and odin 3.10.6 but I have gotten errors trying to use both the all in one, and the other file set. Is there a guide to this that I am missing? I am currently looking into it more but any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Use Odin 3.0.7. And of you down the all.in one home tar file. Open Odin click on pda. And search for the tar file add then press start. Also phone must be in download mode. Turn phone off. Hold home power and down volume button. It will.pop up

After following your advice, my phone seems to be stuck in a constant restart loop, and can't do anything when I make it to the home screen. I will have to look into this, but in the meantime if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Edit: After flashing the wipe set of files, I was able to get the phone in working order. Thanks for all the input
Welcome man. Sorry I forgot to tell you after flash using Odin boot into recovery and wipe data. My bad. Glad to hear you got your phone up and running
