Sorted too
My advice to you: remove completely IPT from your device, including Storage Card, install the files you uploaded here, add all the missing files and link them properly to icons, remove useless ones (I found remains of iPhone theme, folder called Blank and mismatching icons like here \iPhoneToday\PhoneSignalStrength ) then upload again ...
Cheers

I am having the same sort of issue... any answers?
Check out the Manila Rhodium bug fix thread. There's a whole bunch of post V1D fixes. This theme was made for Rhodium prior to V1D.

I have noticed this happens when using showacos backgrounf for all tabs, which I think is incorperated in that theme (I could be wrong) are you using NRG's ROM? He has an altered homescreen and does not play well with the background all tabs mod! Unzip this file onto your device and use total commander to copy paste it into your windows file then reset and you will be able to use that theme!
Awesome! Thanks for the help. I will give it a shot once I get some free time and I will post results.... And yeah I am using NRG'z roms... I am running Mercury right now.
I used this cab to fix the clock issue.

[July 16th][W|VGA - W|QVGA][LockScreen]New N3 + CWP 7 WM 6.5 & 6.5.X-Cab files

I've seen lots of people here are not really happy with WM 6.5 default lockscreen
so i wanna to share simple custom lockscreens

before every thing i would like thank joel2009 for his great guideline
New N3 Beta LockScreen is now available (QVGA)

and to whom just want LockScreen like WP7 here is sth similar to that
- Big clock similar to WP7
- New alignment for Date and Appointments
- New Windows 7 slider
.................................................................................................

Just extract and replace files in the following folder into the windows directory ( using resco file manager, etc) and soft reset
that is all
OR
for whom don't have enough time to do that, here is a cab file
thank to Uppy
Enjoy
...................................................................................................................................
Note:This only supports Portrait mode yet,Landscape will be available soon
...................................................................................................................................
This LOCKSCREEN does not work on Original HTC roms
Caution: If any of the LockScreens didn't work on your device or damage it, plz just unistall the cab file normally (start>setting>system>remove programs), there is no need for Hard reset
VGA/WVGA cabs have been deleted till i correct them
Just Enjoy
Excellent one!

[ICON THEME] Coloured status bar icons

Well I never thought I would find myself contributing anything to XDA-Dev but I liked these icons so much I decided to share!
These icons are either hand made by myself, or edited from various sources. They feature a transparent background, so they should work well with most statusbar's out there. I am currently working on finishing the blue style icons across the board, and perhaps the purple as well (like the battery).
I have tested these on VanillaEclaire 4 and FroydVillan 1.1, and these work without MetaMorph etc etc.
These are fairly simple to install:
- Pull your framework-res.apk (should be in /system/framework) to the folder of your choice.
- Open framework-res.apk with WinRAR or 7zip and navigate to res\drawable-mdpi (some may be called drawable-hdpi). Just find the .png files that match the ones in my zip files.
- Drag your favourite .png files into the WinRAR/7zip window and click OK to save
- Push updated framework-res.apk to your device and reboot. (adb remount, then, adb push ..., adb reboot)
- If you wish to include the gmail, email, or sms icons like in the screenshot, please also update gmail.apk, email.apk, mms.apk as appropriate!
Update: Pictures! Tons more icons!
Update 2: Vending.apk icons (Market download notifications) See post
Mass spam of the icons, pick and choose!
Disclaimer:
Please update the filenames of the .png's as appropriate. I have created/included several copies that can be used as you please, so the names don't always match the .apk files.
Please make backups before pushing to /system
I have read posts on this forum regarding editing .apk files and the need to re-sign them, or issues with endless reboots after editing .apk files. I used WinRAR and did not create a new framework file, only edited it. I have had 0 issues.
Mega pack attachment below contains all icons from the other 3 zip files!
Update: Pink/Purple pack!
Reserved.
Hopefully I can upload pictures now.

Hi Jen, sorry was this when you were pushing or pulling the file? Rebooting?
I use a vanilla rom, and the location of framework-res.apk is exactly where you mentioned. I use a program called "ADB File Explorer" to find things on my device.

I haven't tried it since I last posted, just don't have the time at the momment i'll give it another try tomorrow..But im really excited on getting this to work <3 i've been looking for something like this for the longest.
Ok sounds good! If it keeps failing to push, try ADB file explorer:

Jen, you're not repacking the apk are you? Just need to update, If you look at my sig i've made a video on how to update images on the phone, might help =o)
SpeeDemon, I really like your battery icons, would it be ok to use them on my next video? I'm making a video on how to change the look of the battery status bar icon and rather than making crappy images myself would like to use your ones, I would of course give credit to you for the icons.

Hi Dennis. These icons should work with most ROM's out there available for your device, rooted or otherwise. You will need to familiarise yourself with any of the various methods of pulling framework-res.apk from your phone, and placing the .png files into their correct folder (as outlined in my first post). Then you will need to update the file on the phone with your modified .apk (Google/Android call this "push").

If root explorer can pull a copy to your SD card, you may be able to pull it and just do a normal file copy to your PC. You would then need to push it back from SD > /system using root explorer. I have never used the app before, but I just googled it now and some screenshots hint at this possibility.
I would still suggest trying to get ADB working - it is worth the hassle and much quicker than mounting/unmounting an SD card all the time!
i made it with root explorer. I made a copy from the system folder to SD card. then i sent the file via bluetooth to my pc. then i replaced some pictures and clicked OK. after this i sent the framework-res.apk back to my device. then i copied this and pasted it in System/framework and replaced the old one.
and now i cant boot anymore.
it just shows the startupshow (modified) and then there is a black screen which is illuminated a little bit..
so what can I do?
hope for a quick answer.
kind regards from sad DauL

[THEME] [W]QVGA SENSATIONAL 1.0 IPhoneToday plugin theme

SENSATIONAL 1.0 IPHONE TODAY THEME
FOR [W]QVGA
Hello...once again....my frnds
I have come up with a new theme inspired by the new trends in htc sense
As you know htc sense is a very beautiful interface and a theme with it ....i always wanted to do...
This theme is based on htc sense 2.1 and sense 3.0
as some of the elements you will see belong to those versions
Screenshots are attached below.....say me how they are..
Installing Your Theme..
hey its very simple
1. download the attachment below (which is our theme)
2. extract the file and inside you will get a folder named "iPhoneToday"
3. just copy this folder in your main memory or sd cards in /program files/ and replace the existing iphonetoday folder. (before copying quit iphonetoday)
4. From my iphonetoday folder copy the fonts from the folder named "fonts for clock and date" and paste it into your /windows/fonts/ folder ...
5. restart the iphone today plugin ....(the desktop version) not the plugin one
and feel the SeNsAtIon of SENSE 3.0
the theme has some icons linked to other programs which are in my device ..so when u use the theme edit all icons to your programs on your device...and the dockbar at the bottom has three icons ..leftmost is the next page command, middle one is the dialer link(i use iconsoft phonex) and the right most is the options link for iphone today....u can customise them to your likings..
you can also put alternate dockbars at the bottom....
i have uploaded various dockbars which can be found in : ICONS/sensation 1.0 iphonetoday/STATUS BAR AND DOCKS/ Folder.......
CHEEEERS.....
MY NEXT THEME [M I U I METALLIC] on iphonetoday
Stay tuned......
.......................................
Your theme is below.....
Looks interesting, will try it today...

[06Feb2014][APP][Quantum Themer]Theme Chooser for Stock(Based) ROMs

Hi all!
Are you making a ROM? Want users to switch between Themes without downloading tons of zips and flashing them and ending up in a mess? Actually I made this App for my upcoming ROM("Quantum Radicle") for Micromax A89 and it turned out to work on all phones. Sharing is caring
Here is the solution - Quantum Themer!
You maybe wondering how it works. The answer is:
Based on VillianTheme System! What I did was first tried to run the script on my Phone, ended up with 10-15 errors, fixed them! Now all this App does behind the scenes is Feed the Theme you select to the script and the script does the rest! But if you do see, the VillianTheme Template itself is nearly 600 KB and the App is just 650 KB
Let's get Straight into the list of features!
Features:
Works on all ROMs - Stock, Custom, AOSP, eh, you name it!
Preview of Themes before Applying
Custom File Extension for themes(Default is .qrt, if you do dig my App, you will find this being set in com.adhi.quantumthemer.ThemeSelector Class. Feel free to change it! But don't kang the App)
Single Button, no hassles!
In-built File Explorer
Theme structure is so simple that, even a "Starter" doesn't take more than a minute to understand
You can use it in your ROM. Just copy the APK into your ROM and provide your users with Theme Files, you don't need to ask permissions, just give me credits
Just include files that need to be replaced/modified, cutting down the size of your themes by a great margin
Scroll down and search for the download link, you'll tell me more
Framework, System Apps, Data Apps support
Will modify APKs in a ROM, without changing signatures, and can be used on any ROM where the filenames of themed files is the same.
Should not need updated between versions of a ROM
Zipaligns all APKs before installation
Stores a backup of all files being modified in /sdcard/vrtheme-backup/
Requires no coding abilities or editing of files - just drag and drop
Click to collapse
Now, this will be "Copy, paste" from a VillianTheme Tutorial on "How to make Themes". You may skip to the last point if you know/understand how it works! I strongly recommend you to have a look at the Attached theme for reference. Open it with your favorite Zip Browser(WinRar, 7-Zip)
Check this thread out as well.
Inside the qrt file(Which is to be opened with a Zip Viewer), you can create a folder called "system" and "data" and include a Preview of the theme named "preview.png" or "preview.jpg"(All folders and files without Quotes in their names). The former is required, the latter is not required unless you wanted to theme a data app (strongly not recommended, unless you know the app will be there on every phone)
Inside the system or data folder, create a subfolder "app", and in these, make subfolders named EXACTLY after the APK name. For example, to theme the Browser, you need a folder called "Browser.apk", for Statusbar, "SystemUI.apk". It must be correctly capitalised.
Within there, place the files you require for your theme, in the relevant locations. So most PNGs will be in res/drawable-hdpi/. You can put in xml files too (those which are not in resources.arsc), if you compile them via apktool, and extract them with a zip tool.
If you do make it from scratch and zip it, don't forget to Rename it with extension ".qrt"
Click to collapse
Now lets move on to "How to use it" as I have too much time to kill now, I'm including this
How to Use:
Just Install the App(System, User doesn't matter). Click on "Select Theme" button and then select the Theme you want to Apply. It will ask for Root Permissions if its the First Launch. Next, you'll get a preview of Theme which is going to be applied and then when you press the "Apply" button, the theme will be applied and a Alert Dialog Box asking you to Reboot will appear. I suggest you to Reboot your phone at this point itself. And after reboot, you will be happy to see the Theme Applied
Click to collapse
Downloads:

Sample Theme - Open it with a Zip Viewer, just for reference! Not a theme

Version 1.0 - Mediafire - Dev-Host - Change Log
Beta 2 - Mediafire - Dev-Host - Change Log
Beta 1 - Mediafire - Dev-Host

If you face any problems with this App, do the following -
Debugging:
1. Check whether /sdcard/vrtheme exists and contains four or more files/folders.If it doesn't, copy all the contents off vrtheme.zip in the assets folder of the Quantum Themer App.
2. Mount System as R/W before Applying Theme manually.
3. Copy /sdcard/vrtheme/zip and /sdcard/vrtheme/zipalign to /system/bin and CHMod it to 777
4. Type
Code:
sh /sdcard/vrtheme/i*
in Termianl Emulator or ADB and post the result here..
Click to collapse
Do hit the "Thanks" Button! I tried my best to help you, hope you'll do it to!
And tell me if you want Screenshots. It look pretty dumb even though!
If you people like it and want me to do some update/bug-fixes, do keep the thread active. I don't want to end up working for myself.
All kinds of Reviews are welcome

You can try making your own Theme, its fairly simple
How can I make this work if, for example, I have a SystemUI.apk or framework-res.apk modified and I want to apply it on my phone using this app? It's possible?

A friend sent me to this thread. Once I read your description I got sooo many ideas in my mind! I am a big fun of VRT and this app could help me a lot if it's as I imagine it. Your idea is great.
Just one question for now, previews should be .flv? If yes, will it work ok if I make a slideshow-like preview?
Preview is a PNG static image!
Your post sparkled an idea in my mind too! Thinking of adding a Video Preview + Description

You should add a package ofsome themes like ICS/JB in the OP.
Testing and reporting right away.
edit:: I will use ur sample theme as base for making my own themes.
Good work.

Preview is a PNG static image!
Your post sparkled an idea in my mind too! Thinking of adding a Video Preview + Description

I just said that because your preview was an .flv file and I got confused. I didn't have time to open the .apk or the .qrt. I guess it was a misunderstanding.
Oh, and I'm glad I gave you an idea! Would be cool to see video previews. :good:

Also, why are there two preview.png? One in the root of the .qrt and one in /system folder? Which one is used by the Application?

You should add a package ofsome themes like ICS/JB in the OP.
Testing and reporting right away.
edit:: I will use ur sample theme as base for making my own themes.
Good work.

Because the resource files used are device independent, a file available to MOD on one phone may not be available on the other!

Some ideas:
Would be great if you can add more than one preview pic, in just one is hard to show all things themed.
Other thing is would be nice if themes with their preview remain on the app to just choose one and apply it, I mean like CM themes so you don't have to browse in folders and choose the qrt file each time you want to apply a previously loaded theme.
And finally that the app automatically make a qrt file of the backup that the app make when you apply a theme, so you can easily apply your backup if you didn't like the theme applied.
Sorry for my English

If you people like it and want me to do some update/bug-fixes, do keep the thread active. I don't want to end up working for myself.

I have some ideas, and it would be great if you could implement those things.
First of all, it would be cool to have a folder where everyone would put those .qrts, a folder in /system (/system/QuantumThemes) maybe for us to be able to create packages of more than one .qrt and once a user flashes this package, those .qrts will be placed in this folder.
Second, another idea would be: when you open Quantum Themer it will automatically show themes from this particular folder(/system/QuantumThemes) without having the users to browse for themes in the mess of an sdcard. This way it would look more like a theme engine.
Third, how about categories or sections like: Toggles (/system/QuantumThemes/Toggles), or more specific categories like Status Bar Mods/Toggles (/system/QuantumThemes/Status Bar Mods/Toggles) those categories would be created and named by themers or ROM developers. There would be basically folders placed inside the /system/QuantumThemes and your application would just.
So, to give you a whole view of what I am thinking...
A user installs the Quantum Themer. The user flashes a CWM mod package created by someone. The user opens the Quantum Themer app. A window with all of the categories opens. The user selects a category. The category opens revealing sub categories. The user selects a sub category. The sub category opens revealing all installed mods for this sub category. The user selects a mod. A small or full screen window opens showing a preview, maybe a small description(taken from a file /.qrt/description.txt) and an Install button.
Well, that's actually a lot of things...
I thought it would be good sharing with you since you said you want to keep this active and update it. :highfive:
Hope I helped and I definitely hope to see such a great tool becoming better.

I'll add Restore feature, but it will not be a QRT file.
Thanks for your suggestion.

See your PM. It is due to the Binaries not being copied for some strange reason. Its very minor and easy to fix though

Thanks for your detailed feedback mate
1. I think /sdcard/QuantumThemer is a better place as messing around with system is not good for our device and there will be memory limitations in low-end devices. However your idea is cool and all your first 3 points were based on categories, I can take it as one great suggestion. Setting default directory to /sdcard/QauntumThemer is not tough either. I'm already working on a separate layout for displaying Description, preview and if possible a Video Playback.
2. Yes. Instead of laboriously setting up arrays for selecting Categories->Sub Caegories, a central folder on SD Card will be neat.
Thanks for your suggestions people!
