[Q][DEV] Which VMSPLIT is required by i9000 ROMs frameworks?

Hi everyone, I was going to port a Galaxy S ROM right now,when I had this doubt... I need to know this in order to build a correct boot.img for my device

Help please which custom rom ? is darky ok and help please

Hi all, ok ive decided to try and root my samsung galaxy s running 2.3.3 gingerbread build XWJVH ,can anybody reccommend a custom rom for me, ive looked at Darky and looks quite good, any feedback please, i used to have a hero and rooted that ok but im a bit confused how to to go about rooting the galaxy s as dont wana brick it, hope to get some help soon and thankyou from Brian

I would personally recommend using Darkys 10.2. Since you haven't rooted your phone you will have to download this version:

[Q] Help with stock 2.1

Guys,
I am extremely sorry i am asking the same clichéd question again...
I read about this in many places, but i did not get an easy way, and hence i am asking....
i am currently on stock 2.1 update1 as it shows...
I have my galaxy s i9000 rooted....
Now, please please please could someone tell me if it is safe to flash cm7 directly on to my rooted and stock 2.1?
If not, please could you tell me what to do?

Hey guys, i'm going to sell the phone but i need to install stock again, but i was reading the forum but my inglish isn't very good, i am using nameless ROM 4.4.2 and yodak kernel, can some one send me the link with the tutorial? Thanks guys!!
OBS: I am sorry if this is a stupid question, and i now that there is a search toll but the topics that i found say to do not downgrade and i need to do this today to guive the phone to the buyer....

Noob question about how to root N7000

Hi to all,
I want to ask anyone to give me the link to tutorial where I can see how to root my N7000, and what all is need to do that. Build number is XXLT5 and version of android is 4.1.2. Thanks for understanding and support.

Thank you very much guys, it was much easier than I thought. I'll do root with framaroot. Now I ask you to help me how to install recovery mod if somethings going wrong, and then finally to install custom rom with lollipop based theme.
- What I first need to do to: install recovery and then install a custom rom?
- Do I need a cyanogen mod?
- Which custom rom would recommend to install and it is based on lollipop?
- Do I need to unlock bootloader in order to install custom rom, and how?
- Is Note 1 strong enough to support lollipop?
Please, can you give me a links where I can find everything for installation recovery mod and custom rom? Thanks a lot.
