what seems to be the most popular browser being used with a rooted nook?
got a favorite, lets here it
I am using the stock and Skyfire

I use Stock and Opera Mini

Dolphin browser HD with the user agent set to desktop.
I'm running CM7 r17.

Miren has been the best in my experience. It's got a great UI, it's very speedy, renders pages very well (with modes that display full pages on the screen very well), and has loads of options.
Also, I was experiencing a bug where every browser crashed to the homescreen when I tried to visit an htpps: page. Miren does not do this at all.

I use XScope.
The latest version of the program has fixed the issue of white text on white background in the pop up menus.

I have give a try to xscope!
Currently i'm using Miren and it's pretty fast, the ui is great to!

I am using xscope pro. I gave dolphin hd a chance for 2 days but couldn't stand how it rendered pages no matter what my settings were... Especially how it rendered reddit. I do love how dolphin does the bookmarks though.

I will give these a try, wow so many options...lol

I am trying Boat Browser, it seems to fill my needs, but the only one that seems to show favacons it the stock browser

What is the best web browse?

Looking for one that is smoother than stock
I did not like dolphin and FireFox just tried skyline its alright anymore suggestions

I've tried them all, but I'm going to have to strongly recommend Miren Browser... It's fast and practical and it looks good. I downloaded Dolphin and I deleted it after an hour, the design did not suit me at all.

I have been using the new opera and think it's very well suited to the speed of our LTE. It renders pages very quickly and has a pretty clean interface. I will be installing the new firefox browser to give it a run, although it's a release candidate.

I have been using SkyFire for a while i find it to be the best. I just tried Opera Mobile and i had problems with the scrolling lagging. As for Firefox its fast but lacks Flash so that's a no go for me.

Testing Firefox 4. Grab from market.

I didn't really like skyline because of the bottom bar it was annoying. But I did like that if the page was still loading and you were moving around on the page it did not put you in a random spot like stock browser

Dolphin and Miren for everything. Firefox doesnt support flash... Opera is HORRIBLE with loading desktop versions of sites.

Using miren now for 30 secs and already love it

I use dolphin mini as well be hearing alot about Miren so I'll try it too

Dolphin hd for desktop view and downloads sites. Opera for everything else.

+1 for Dolphin HD

Firefox is ok but it takes a long time to load some pages. It feels more like performance versus my connection speed.
Dolphin and Dolphin HD are alright but they feel to me like they would be better suited for a tablet.
I just downloaded Miren and Ill give it a go, I was using the stock browser till now though.

dolphin mini is the ticket for me

you guys are nuts hating on dolphin hd I used it on my OG but its sooooo much better on a bigger screen. tabbed browsing, flash, etc etc.

I'm running CM7. I just opened the News and Weather app and went to browse a story, and the page scrolling was a bit jumpy. Presume it would have opened the stock browser. What browser do all of you use?

Stock browser works well. I tried Firefox (a lot of memory), Dolphin HD (the best alternative), Miren browser (very fast browser) and Opera (I don't like its UI).

i have used opera since the moment i started using internet, so yeah, opera ftw

Im using stock browser at the moment but I intend to go back to Opera once I have stopped messing with my phone.
I think its always good to have opera installed just incase you havent got much signal as it loads pages super fast.

Stock browser is ok, but I wasn't quite satisfied myself.
So tried Dolphin HD, wasn't really impressed, can't see what other people find so great about it.
Now using Opera, works the best so far. It's a bit too much of a memory hog for my liking, but overall I'm much happier with it.

i use dolphin HD and opera browser, since my stock browser always suddenly close with no error or force close especially when open the site which has many flash player

Been using Dolphin HD and Skyfire until I discovered Opera Mobile which is significantly faster in scrolling and zooming.

use dolphin browser hd for viewing flash stuff youtube ect, firefox for downloading pron and opera mini if i need to save data.

Dolphin hd because of his great extensions...but opera mobile is better in smoothness

+1 for Dolphin too. I also use it on the iPad and it syncs favorites between them which is kind of handy.

Opera Mobile. Because the stock browser is junk.

Im loving Dolphin HD more now that it has an evernote extension!

I tried them all, by far the best and easiest to use has been the Boat browser. Once you go Boat, you never go back.

I use dolphin personally due to its stylish user interface and gesture support.

Can someone explain the benefits of using a browser other than stock? I surf the web a lot (2.5gig a month) on my phone and have always used the stick browser...?

i prefer opera mobile, but i might have to switch back to dolphin since they have an evernote add-on now.

I downloaded Opera Mobile from android market.
At least is not transfering so much data.

Really a matter of preference.
However some might do specific tasks better than others. For example the other day I tried Dolphin, Opera, Firefox and the native browser during a flash stream of a basketball game. I was hooked up to my home wireless router.
I never did get the flash addon to work properly on Firefox. Opera and Dolphin opened the stream just fine, but the video was jerky and hard to watch.
By far the best video continuity was with the native browser.
But I still prefer Firefox for general web browsing.

I've tried most if not all. For me Boat Browser is the best on both tablet and phone.

chrome's good. no problems with it. i use it on my desktop, laptop, galaxy nexus and tab 2. its syncs everything together.

No if you use cm10 jelly bean rom so you will have to use older version of dolphin to be able to view flash objects and videos as they disabled flash operation in all jelly bean roms if you use ics rom as cm9 so ok flash will work with latest version of dolphin
If you want to use cm10 rom so use stock browser in it so good with flash support but you will need to side load flash to install it or restore it by titanium backup

Mozilla Firefox!

I prefer chrome but use dolphin more for full screen and better downloading. Chrome likes to download in the background and not even let me see the progress. Annoying.
I love chrome sync. I can share tabs between so many devices and computers.

Use dolphin, it has a client option and you can change it to anything(android,desktop,iphone,ipad)

I STILL love my Mozilla!....But after looking at Dolphin Browser, I might have to reconsider!

I use chrome for all my browsing and stock browser for all my downloading.I also can't stand how chrome downloads.As for flash I just install an older version of flash apk that works on all jb roms.I just really like the on screen controls in stock browser wish chrome had that.

They all have this option. Chrome just has the link in the menu to view desktop version. Quite handy tbh.
Most download sites work better if you change it to desktop.

I use Google Chrome, but it do a lot of cache (clear yesterday, now i have 107MB of cache)
I use Stock browser only for flash contents

I don't know, but I think stock browser is the best, I like chrome sync and also dolphin browser, but, I feel stock is a little faster than the rest.
