Is it rooted?
If you have a rooted Device, then you should try to get into the recovery mode by pressing power and volume down key until u see the android(the recovery mode) and then try to restore if you have the nandroid backup....
It isn't rooted, I did the "power and volume down" and it booted, but didn't showed any menu, just booted and reinstalled back to stock, I have lost all my installed app, but no my photos...
=)

[Q] My Bionic needs a hard rest please HELP, nothings working :SSS

Hey guys, i really need some help here, i would really like to just hard reset my phone back to stock, and then i can start from scratch on rooting and what not. My problem is , the phone just wont reset ahha.
like i go into TWRP, and using this post " http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-bionic-hacks/234845-factory-bionic-stock-rom-ics-4-0-4-a.html " try and restore my device. Ive so far encountered probably every problem possible...following that post i DL the file and go to past it onto the device storage but i couldn't find the 3. Copy or Move Folder to your Backups....(Ex). Sdcard-Ext/TWRP/Backup.... so i just paste it into the TWRP file directory.from there i go to boot the device, it automatically boots in to adb usb mode stating that ( flash failed) i then have to hold the volume buttons and power to bring it back to the main recovery menu to boot normally!? thats only one problem, next i have Safestrap installed, it shows the start up screen i can continue or boot into recovery. Now in recovery following the instruction in the link provided i go and i 5. Select Stock ROM slot (Activate) and go select 6. Select Restore but theres noting in it, so i just go to install and find my file that i put there. i then do step 7. Select Factory Bionic Folder and 8. Flash it ( Swipe ). TWRP says it was complete but it only shows it going into the flashing process of installing update... so i reboot the phone and same thing, i get automatically pushed to the ABD USB screen saying flash failed. ... last problem , i go to boot past and theres no OS installed ... just a black screen ... im totally lost i dont know what to do hahah , any help here people??
anyone have any ideas on how to just restore this baby straight to stock ICS? thanks
P.S sorry for the bad quality photos, that what u get for taking pics with a razr haha
Dose anyone have any ideas at all, please??
I'd suggest hooking up your Bionic to a computer and FXZ through RSDlite.
Else if phone is bricked use fastboot and use the FXZ version of the stock image.
If you need the official FXZ for 246 ICS, one place to get it from is here:

Google this: fxz fastboot bionic
There should be a YouTube video called 'unbrick factory reset droid bionic with fast boot and fxz', near the top of the search results. Watch it

Hello Bueller?

[Q] {Help Needed] Rooting Problem

Phone: GT-I9305 Optus
OS: Stock 4.1.2
Problem: I decided to root my phone, mainly to be able to use Titanium backup, and followed one of the guides here.
Odin did its thing nice and easy, phone rebooted and installed CF-Root just like it was supposed to.
However, on the reboot after install, it asked for my password (Device is encrypted). No big deal, enter password.....didn't work. I've tried multiple times, and it's not accepting my password at all.
Did I just brick my phone? Is there a way to fix this?
Edit: The phone now says I have seven more tries before it erases everything on it. Honestly, I'm not that fussed about having to re-install everything, I just want to be able to use my phone.
Edit 2: Tried going into the debug/reset menu (Vol Up+Home+Power) All I get is stuck at the S3 splash screen, with a VERY tiny red '!' at the top left corner.
Try the process again but don't let odin reboot your phone. After it flashes cf-root, make sure the reboot option is not thicked, press home button +Volume up +power at the same time. You should get straight in to recovery.

Soft Brick After build.prop Edit....I guess?

I had installed the xposed module for the Android L navi bar. After I installed rebooted etc. I entered the apps UI and it instructed me to add an extra line to the build prop (qemu.hw.mainkeys = 0). So I went into a file explorer and tried to edit it; no dice, it wouldn't let me do a thing (Should have taken that as a sign right?!?). So I tried another app, but this time it allowed me to edit but not save. Meh, tough luck right? Not too soon afterwards I uninstalled the module and all that good stuff and rebooted because I have OCD like that. All that did was bring me to where I am now with a soft bricked (?) phone. I can turn the phone on, the "LG" screen shows but after that it's just black. All the while the front LED is flashing from green to blue like it's starting normally. I can get to the "volume key to end call etc" menu before it boots and I can even get to the Hard Reset screen and execute said hard reboot but that's not bringing my flex back to life either for some reason. If I can get into Download Mode I'll have a good chance of getting it up and running but that won't even work. I know it was a pain getting to Download Mode the last time I downgraded but now it seems impossible. I've tried the "shut down, hold volume up button and plug in USB" method and I've tried the "hold volume up and power button while plugged in method" the former being the one that worked for me in the past. I'm super flustered/tired and probably missed a few details so if anyone can help and needs more information, don't be afraid to ask/demand, any help is appreciated.
BTW I have done my fair share of searching and to no avail, I'm not afraid of research but I am afraid of you guys bashing me for not doing so. So just know I tried. These threads would be what I need but I can't utilize either until I get to Download Mode.

I tried that... maybe I did it wrong but all is well anyway, I used my jump to get the G3. If a moderator would close this thread, I'd appreciate it.

NON ROOTED brick

As the title says the phone has not been rooted and has bricked itself. It can get to the download screen but that's about it. Odin doesn't recognize it and not sure how to flash the stock rom back on it to get it back up and running. Anyone run into this issue before.? See image for what shows up on the screen. Thanks.
update: was able to hav odin recognize the phone. I've tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2703006 with both the .pit and without plus the 4 files with no luck. still just restarts to same screen.

Somethings not right. If you flash the pit file make sure you flash all 4 files. I dont see a reason why it shouldnt work. If it still has that after you flash boot into recovery and factory reset. It should work. Its easy to soft brick than to hard brick. As long as you can get into download mode you should be fine.

I dont know then. Only thing i would suggest is make sure you have downloaded the latest samsung drivers. Last time i couldnt get it to recognize i downloaded the latest samsung mobile drivers and tried every usb port. I also gave it a break for about 10 or 15 minutes with the phone off and it worked too. Dont know why but it did. Hope that helps. Cheers mate

It goes straight to download screen or before this you got option to press volume up or down? Did you try to get to recovery mode by pressing combination of volume up , home button and power button then let all go when samsung logo show up with little blue writing on left top of phone. If you get to recovery try to clean cache. If you can't and after you try to flash back to stock still going straight to download mode must be hardware issue.
Why do the newer users call anything that doesn't boot properly "Bricked ?"
Believe me you'll know when and if your ever able to successfully achieve it....
Your not even rooted..lmfao
